I don’t see the Giants as being a serious contender for Sasaki. Their farm system is ranked dead last, they haven’t been competitive in recent years, and they struggle to attract high profile free agents.
The Giants have a lot of MLB rookies and young players on their MLB Roster now compared to the beginning of last season. I mean if you look at 2023 prospect rankings, you had Harrison, Schmitt, Matos, Ramos, Birdsong and Bailey all of which I'm happy to see in a Giants jersey. Ramos was 20th for heavens sake and look what happened there. Yes there are teams with a better list of prospects but it's not all doom and gloom for the Giants. Buster becomes a legit GM/POBO if he is able to pull this off and land Sasaki for sure. Not likely of course but there's more than zero chance.
@@JaybeeAU Yeah they have some young players but the biggest problem the Giants have is that their young players, their old players, all their players are average at best. Many of them are not even average. The vast majority of the guys on this team could not start for anyone else. I'm not sure Sasaki would want in on this. Having said that, logic would dictate that the Dodgers can't sign everyone. So, who knows?
Same old SD Padres bullchit.. drama queens from top to bottom.. bleeds through the players and fans too.. it's why the Dodgers will always be generations ahead of all u wannabe.. never do anything of significance by end of year Padres.. true story 💯💯💯💯🎯👈🥰🥰😂🤣💙💙
"Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction." … Padres greed is the downfall of attracting Roki sasaki!
Lawsuit comes and the Dodgers trade Lux 5 minutes later; opening up a roster spot. Dodgers open in Japan lol. This is over-signed, sealed and delivered to L.A.. No way his agent let's his client end up on a team that could be forced to sell.
As a Dodgers fan who remembers when we had to deal with Frank McCourt (not the same exact thing the Padres are dealing with, but a bad ownership situation in terms of McCourt) ..I feel bad for Padres fans having to deal with confusion over the ownership of the team.. Things like this can take years in court to figure out… It took the Dodgers organization almost 20 years to rid themselves of the McCourt effect…
Padres had the talent but they're immature which is why they lost to an injury riddled Dodgers team that were disciplined and focused. If Sasaki goes to the Padres or the Giants that would tell me that he doesn't like Ohtani or Yamamoto. That makes him a Villain in his own country. I realize he's a talent but I don't think he's a better pitcher right now than Yamamoto, Ohtani (before the injuries) or Snell. If the Dodgers are healthy, with or without Yamamoto....they're the favorites to win it all.
I just watched Locked on Giants, and he was saying Posey and group said they have confidence in their young arms, and will go after hitting. So I doubt the Giants get Sasaki
I love your show and. Really appreciate your dodgers coverage. But I disagree that the padres should have won. You don't score a run in 22 straight innings and the last 2 games. You get shut out. I don't see that as I should've won. But they were the favorites. So whatever. I agree on the sosaki deal. I think the reason why they're not going all out for Tanner scott yet Is because They already No no Thanks again for your great videos.
Appreciate your comment and I see your point. I agree the dodgers should’ve won I more meant that the padres could’ve won if things had gone differently. Look forward to seeing more comments from you in the future.
@@SFGiantsfan9797 As a Dodgers fan if the Dodgers somehow don’t get him the Giants are the team I would want him to go to the most. Because it means they would have to terminate their deal with Josuar and the Dodgers would be able to give the 5 million they were planning on giving to Roki all to Josuar. He would probably be perfect for the Dodgers.
@@Farhanruinedgiants I wouldn’t say he isn’t any good. He just isn’t a finished product. He must learn to change up a curveball to reach his full potential. He isn’t gonna sign in San Francisco, that franchise is a mess too.
If this drama leads to Roki not signing with the Padres, I will never forgive the Seidler bros AND Sheel for these shenanigans.
Nothing but greed from a family trying to take over Peter's legacy.
Best outcome for San Diego is that they are forced to sell the team.

Our Dodgers are going to get Sasaki 🎉🎉 my POV
This lawsuit is a mess
Looks like, "We're one Big Happy Family" will be scratched off the pitch to Sasaki😂😂😂
Players and Managers, both are controlled by the ownership. Bottom line, Padres no chance for Sasaki.
Padres has 3 or 4 contracts that they can't trade unless they pay most of there contracts.
Very true.
Who else thinks the Dodgers will be good this year? ✋
No guarantees anything can happen. But on paper looks pretty promising for another title run.
Sasaki won’t be a padre hopesprings
You poor thing. I feel so very sorry for you

And the McCourt's still own the parking lots around Dodger stadium. I'm hoping the new ownership group can somehow buy the the parking lots.
We been down that road with the Mc Courts. Perfect timing for the Pads.
Dan, can you compare this to the Dodgers ownership issue with the mccourts?
I don't like how this franchise is going to end. They just need to sell it for the better of the community and the players.
Poor Madres
Go to the madres and get your diaper changed, toddler
Thanks Dan....love your coverage of the baseball. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate your comments.
Nobody is talking about how Sasaki hasn’t even had a meeting with the Padres, but he has met with like 7 other teams. He already left to Japan too.
@@LucasHiggins-pp3nt He did meet with the Padres, that was already reported

Well the giants just signed verlander. Appreciate the comment as always.
"Succession" in San Diego
Haha yes
Hope he comes to Seattle Mariners we got a great pitching squad and Suzuki would help us recruit him
Great take mariners are definitely in play

Good takes
97.5% Dodgers.
MLB should force the family to sell the team.
This is one picture, he's not a savior just a good young picture , if the Dodgers get him great , if they don't well the game will go on period !!!!!!
Sasaki to giants then?
You can always dream.
👈👈😂
Padres can't afford Sasaki. Get rid of Machango.
Tell me you know nothing about how this works without telling me you know nothing about out how this works.....🙄
Padew had almost no chance of signing Roki Sasaki before the lawsuit, now they are zero.
Padres were the leaders to sign him as of a couple days ago, and still have a chance. Funny you think otherwise .😅
Bye bye San Diego baseball 😂 just like the Chargers. Next podcast will be about the beaches 😂😂😂
