Dear Amanda I don't comment on social media... but for you .. I will take a stab at this ww thing. You need to know that you are unique. Refreshing knowledgeable and a true pleasure to watch. There' isn't any pretense to you... you are as you appear... please keep up your efforts... and continue to do the fabulous job you are doing...
At this stage of their life those rugs will be treated with more love as pillows than on the floor being walked on!😊 Thank you for giving them a new life!❤️
🤔. While watching you paint that beautiful dresser, I have two things that make painting so much easier for me. 1- stool with wheels & I found a Lazy Susan at a thrift store and I added a larger top to it so that when I’m painting I can easily spin/turn things around while painting small & large items. I find it to be Very helpful. I can have 3-4 items on it and it keeps them lifted so less clean up, easy/fast drying time. It also works Amazing when I need to use a roller & I can turn large items without needing to physically touch the wet painted frame or drawers & mess them up. My husband made a stopper out of scrap wood because it’s nice to have things elevated when painting but you don’t always need them to rotate. Love the dresser you were painting in this video. You have great taste in the items you purchase for resale & the colors you choose to paint them. 👍 👍 👍 🤩
That tool Mike picked up is not for barbed wire, but for blacksmithing. The clipper part is for shortening the nail after it is driven through the hoof and before the nail is bent down a bit. It is also used to pull old nails out before removing the old shoe.
I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN BINGE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS FOR WEEKS LOL I HAVE HAD A BOOTH FOR 5 YEARS I DO MOSTLY VINTAGE GLASS BUT YOU MAKE M E WANT TO BRANCH OUT!
I’m watching all the Lucketts videos back to back now because since you’ve inspired me to up my game and work even harder, I’m actually slotted to do my first ever vintage market this Saturday! I’m doing Flea Across Florida (setting up in Pensacola)! :D and I am feeling the pressure since it’s Tuesday now 😂. Thank you for giving me inspiration and great tips!!!
Exactly! I fear I will be the single antique, vintage, retro vendor with vintage clothes, small furniture, vintage decor & toys. Amongst candles, soap, fudge, jewelry etc. It’s my first market, so we will see. It’s out of state for me so I have truck rental and hotel expense.
In the spring and fall of North Carolina we go to two different Antique Shows every year. Liberty Antiques Festival and Cameron Antiques Festival. Liberty is in a small rural town held on a large family farm. Cameron is also in a small rural town all along the main street. Residents rent out their yards, porches, garages. Beautiful old town and good deals. Check it out!! I think you could do well picking. Very relaxed friendly atmosphere. Good ole country folk.
You have so many awesome interesting items. You’re going to do great at Luckets!! Wish we lived closer to check this show out. Maybe you’ll have a video of some highlights from the show. Might even mark my calendar for a trip to this show next year (and come with a big empty truck lol)
Great Video!!!! For me the Best show for setting up is inside hands down. Dads right in Lucketts you sale so much just think how much you can sale if you bring extra!!!!
Love your rugs!! They are going to make Amazing Pillow’s. Do you use a commercial sewing machine to make the pillows since the rugs are so thick?? I recently found two gorgeous rugs that I am going to make pillows with. Super Excited to get them done. Any tips on sewing the rugs? I’m thinking about serging around the edge’s so that I don’t get any frayed edges in the future. I also have a antique booth. And pricing is my least favorite thing to do. It takes FOREVER!! Good Luck at your next show. 🍀
You need to take a road trip to Northern Alabama. There are so many good deals in certain places. Just let me know when you come and I will send you a list of great places to pick at.
This spring in Texas has been super hot. It was cool here last year until probably July, but this year is almost 100 degrees everyday almost all May. You might need a storefront even if it's just by appointment only. I'm actually working on opening a shop because I have stuff in storage and in my garage that's taking over and making me work outside instead of inside my workshop. I do have a booth in an antique mall, but with so much stuff I have to too crowded.
Love your vlogs, very insightful! You are such a hard worker and really think things through! Wish I could visit the Lucket sale, wishing you great success!
Love your stuff. Suggestion that I use when washing rugs. Drape wet rugs over sawhorses. They drip & dry a lot quicker. (with 3 dogs we wash a lot of rugs)
Wonderful ideas and tips. I’m getting ready for my first market ( in 3 weeks!!!). And our best Dog Ever had to be euthanized today. I gotta take a day off cause I’m so sad. Back to work tomorrow. Thanks For really helpful ideas.
Love, love, love your videos. Thank you very much for your booth insights and for the show tips. I've been having shoppers moving chairs or clearing pieces & not putting anything back? I get so frustrated! Wondering if being one of only like 3 vendors with mid century vs more country shabby chic is hurting my sales. It's only been a solid 3 months, I just don't know...appreciate your input.
My first ever show was at a craft show and I had people saying “wow you made all this stuff?!” Ahh. It didn’t turn out so bad for me in the end but I never did that craft show again lol
I have a question. I have been dabbling in antique reselling and booths in my part of the country. Utah to be exact. That being said, I am convinced we do not have "auctions" like y'all do in your part of the country. How the heck do you find out about auctions? Most of the vintage and antique items I find and resell is on market place and as you can imagine, depending solely on that is very hit or miss! I feel like I may have to expand my horizons and take trips out of town to start finding good big pieces.
I’ve said it before…I’ll say it again…you are one hardworking gal !! Bummed that LesterLoot was cancelled, I was planning on going -looking forward to stopping by and saying hey, and probably shop your space. I really love your aesthetic. 🤍🤍 GOOD LUCK at LUCKetts. I’m sure you will sell out 🤞🏻🤞🏻😘😘
I’m coming to Staunton to take your boy friend to lunch. He’s so fun loving & adorable. Don’t ever lose your inner child. Also gonna gift him a bag of old salt packets from Aunt Ginnies junk drawer🥰. Glad you appreciate him. Elizabeth
At the antique store I’m in, vendors have the option to either pay rent every month or have it taken out of their proceeds 😊 I’m guessing Amanda’s is the same way

Y’all are so cute together and so talented!
That tall, narrow bookshelf.😍😍
It was strangely satisfying to watch the washing of the rugs....all the dirt getting squeegeed off....awwwwww
Love the carved Indian screen, large mortar and pestle, and cut glass footed vases!
I miss your regular videos Amanda. I hope Lucketts was a huge success this year.
Your videos are my favorite! I would love to see a vlog every week!
Hope she sees this, bro

I really want that yellow chair it’s perfect for my living room❤️
I know this is an older video and you probably won’t see this comment, but I loved your advice at the end with Tori. It was very cute.
Love your channel. Would like to see you make the pillows out of the rugs. Thank you for your wonderful channel.

Love that little bell! Some lucky person will buy it!
Great video Amanda! You can do it! You will be ready for the show 👍
Mike is a cutie, and as we like to say...a good eater. Those brass swans would be perfect in a guest bathroom holding a pretty guest towel.
Springfield Ohio Extravaganza is the same weekend. I have have been doing that show for years. Its huge. Good luck with your show.
Good luck at your show, it was a good vlog ❤
I like the carved teak screen.
The marble might glow. Check it with a black light. May have uranium in it. Collectable😊

Are you still at your parents house?
I was wondering why you pay rent? My rent is taken out of my proceeds. I’ve never been given another option.
