Tetris effect is cool but speed seems to be very random jumping up several levels or back down. 99 just has excess use of garbage and I have up with that because I don't do well on 99. Both are great but effect is better
@@A_a_ron_4_RC The "jumping" is in the journey mode. if you want it to slowly speed up like the classic, you can go to the effect modes and select marathon
@@klaesashford1966 I feel liking clearing journey on expert is one of the toughest things I've accomplished. Doing that final level once was nearly enough for me. I ended up around level 30 after that. Much respect to you and anyone who has hit level 50 🔥
@@professorfrond2234 you don't need to be good, you just have to play a lot. I've only ever done journey on beginer, so I'm not great. If you play enough you'll get there👍

I honestly love the crap out of the original Tetris game and music type A (the famous Tetris theme,) and the Tetris 99 iteration is really good, I was kind of hoping this would outdo 99 is terms of hardcoreness, sadly, no.
I know I'm in the minority, but I think they could have done better with this. The remix is cool, but I don't think it's one of the best song of the game, and It actually, in my opinion, doesn't fit very well with the sound effects. Theme A, "Korobeiniki", Tetris song, or however you want to call it, is on of the most memorable songs in video game history. I think it deserves more. I understand that the Tetris Effects team wanted to distance themselves from the Tetris license. To make a unique Tetris game, and they thought that this should not be the major themsong, but still, having a more emotional remix would have been nice. (I also think the remix doesn't handle the original parts that it contains.) (I have never played Tetris Effects, nore do I know anything about music, so correct me if I'm wrong) (Sorry about my english)
For me I'm absolutely hooked on this theme. It starts quite unassuming like in this song, and especially when you first unlock the stage you just think it'll stay as a slightly modernized theme. But by playing Tetris Effect as long as needed to unlock this, you understand there's a "quieter" section, and a "vibe" section to every song on the soundtrack. Just get to the vibe, the neat groove they'll have planned. Then everything ramps up to 11 with bass (so much fun on my subwoofer), completely new instruments, fireworks are shooting, man this is an absolute v i b e it hits you all at once. I get sad when I reach 290 lines on this stage because then it's over ): One day soon I'll play the full like 400 line option at speed 6 or 7.
It's a remake, not the same theme, just emulating it. You can tell the difference when you compare it to Tetris 99, which uses the exact theme from the GBA.
Always found it Ironic that is is called 1989, which is when the NES Tetris came out, and they used the Gamboy appearance for the Game, and the Music was Korobeinki instead of Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy like the NES tetris used.
