This was such a great tutorial. I'm learning about what colors work for me (warm colors). I did the vein test. Wish this was a book.

Red is warm on colorwheel, but why is a red skin tone foundation considered cool? Is it because there is blue in it?

In your experience, what percentage of women have been cool toned vs. warm toned? Have you ever encountered someone who was a true neutral?

Honestly, I really don't the percentage of cool toned vs warm toned. I wouldn't even know how to figure that out since there are so many different looking women in the world. My clients range widely as well. As far as true neutral. I have had a couple clients that were very neutral. But ultimately their coloring prefers cool over warm. A person may appear neutral, but in my experience this simply means "not obvious". Both warm and cool at the same time. Usually that means they are soft in coloring and typically soft and cool. Cool toned.

Gucci Del Taco -- The most common personal coloring, worldwide (by far), is winter, which is cool. The majority of Asians, Hispanics, Africans, Mideastern people, and Southern Europeans are winters. Among people of northern and eastern European ancestry, winter may not be in the majority (though likely the plurality), and there are more summers, and more warm-toned people. Overall, there are vastly more cool-toned people worldwide.
