    Thanks for your interesting demo. It might be my monitor, but it seems to me the "pure blue" you're using has red mixed in. It become apparent when you added white to it, it almost became lavender. I would say the blue to the right was actually the pure blue.

    Thank you for explaining why turquoise looks awful on me, I’m cool toned with blue eyes and black hair

    I’ve never gravitated to green apart from aqua. I have dark hair, blue-green eyes and pale skin that just looks yellow to me. Recently analysed as a clear, the silver drape make me look grey, the gold drape made me look better but reflected too much gold up. The best colour, to me, Pewter , a medium dark taupe. The rest of the colours I struggled to see but that one hit me. I’m trying to get into greens but am finding make me look a bit yellow. With your explanation of greens maybe pulling too warm for cool toned people,that makes a lot of sense….apart from the gold drape being better than the silver. As if I’m warm but not warm. I’ll have one last go at green before I give that one up!

    Thanks. It made more sense to me now after thinking that one can make the blue warmer either way. As they say : "Temperature, i.e. the degree of warmth or coldness from an aesthetic point of view. The distinction between 'warm' and 'cold' colours is purely artistic and has no physical basis". So my view of cool will not be the same as the next persons :)

    You said adding yellow would make it more warm, but I the colors that looks the worst on me are magenta, aquamarine, turquoise, sea foam green, mint green, and icy blues. Why is that?

    • @YourColorStyle
      @YourColorStyle  6 років тому +1

      It could be a couple reasons. The colors are too bright for you and you need softer greyer colors. Or, the colors are too light for you and you need richer colors.

      Then I'm guessing you're probably darker or browner in complexion. Those lighter warm colors you mentioned work best for people with warm UNDERTONES but lighter, whiter or fairer COMPLEXIONS. While the darker warm colors usually containing more reds and blacks than yellows and whites work best for people with warm UNDERTONES too but darker complexions. This isn't pro advice dear so you aren't required to try it. It's merely an experiment that gives me better results. Cheers

    I don't understand. Adding the red or yellow tones still made it a cool colour, so how would these colours on their own still be wearable by those with a warm tone? Is it all just relative to what other colours are around it?

    • @Peleski
      @Peleski 4 роки тому +2

      My perspective is that if you're warm toned but really want to wear purples, blues or greens, then finding tints with red or yellow will make them more wearable. Or if you're neutral-warm toned, then you can probably get away with wearing the cool colours that have been 'warmed up".

    This is an excellent explanation of warm and cool blue. Everywhere I look in the art world people are calling turquoises cool blues and purples warm blues which makes 0 sense to me. This makes complete sense. Thank you.

    What I don’t understand is i’m not sure why but i always look good in all kinds of blue, muted, sea, sky, or baby blue. But always look washed out and dull on almost every pink I tried. And i’m neutral leaning to warm

    • @YourColorStyle
      @YourColorStyle  Рік тому +1

      You are very likely wearing the wrong pinks. If you are warm, you want warm pinks, like light reds to coral pinks. Cool pinks won't work. Blues and blue greens are universal colors and look great on everyone.

    So, if I understood correctly: as a deep winter I can't wear any of those because they are warm. I can only wear the true blues. Is that right?

      I highly recommend moving away from the Four Seasons, and towards this: ua-cam.com/video/q_xcvInZifI/v-deo.html

      Yes, you can, you can still wear warmer. Because you're still close to deep autumn, and deep autumns, usually cross into deep winters.

    Actually, The redder Blue is cooler than normal blue since the color wheel , red and green are split, blue violet (blue and purple) and yellow orange
    are the coolest and warmest, Yellow is the warmest , red is neutral, and blue is the coolest, neutral is cooler than warm

    Hello, I didn't understand, yellow is a warm tone right? And so is red. So when you add yellow and red, those blues don't become warm tones?
    Xx

    • @YourColorStyle
      @YourColorStyle  7 років тому

      Adding yellow or red to blue will warm it up but the color is still a cool color. You'd have to add enough yellow to move the hue to the warm side. Which is basically transforming the color into a yellow-green. The same is true for red. To move the hue to the warm side, you'd have to add so much red to make it pink.
