Very cool video dude, I really like the handle bar bag, it looks much deeper than the surly bag on my moloko bar

Thank you. I have a follow up video on the bars with Merit Gear pop corn bags.

There's no rotational problem with the Confucius bar rotating in the stem with a bag attached, had one on my bike packing bike for 4 years, use it with a 20l dry bag with 3 or 4 kilos in it, no problem. I use Alpkit Joey harness which has no stiffening stays connecting to fork, only velcro straps.

Thank you. Did a few more mods to improve handle bar bag stability. The Dava Way bikepacking video shows it quite well. Again thanks.

6:34 Handlebars are 31.8 diameter not 31.6? Just in case someone is confused. Good video though, told me a few things I needed to know. Thanks.

You can get a carbon Jones H Bar .

I would love a carbon jones H Bar. But it costs 13x a Akipkit bar to do the same thing though heavier. Even the jones Aluminium costs 4x more!?!

@@North3rdMedia I've noticed ,But I guess Jones put time into developing it & I try to follow a ethical code of where stuff is made ,I'm 100% sure about carbon because when it fails it's quite catastrophic.

Ps get rid of front roll bag and switch to large event sea to summit bag much better .. denpending on your packraft it can fit in seatpost bag and put peddals under neath the bag

Thx for the tip. That could work with my present seatpost bag. I did get the Aeroe spider rack to carry two rafts. My wife’s and mine. That may be my next video.

@@North3rdMedia yeah the aero rack is Brillant had them for years never failed .. plus the aero front rack solves the problem with cables and a hard shell harness is much better than soft harness only down side is weight … i did a video on how to pack your bike to the raft check it out
