Don't forget to check out the concept art of the characters. If you can't get the symbol on the bow from her sprite sheet, you'll definitely find it on the concept art. A tip for the future, if you're planning on doing any of the other characters ^^

Forgive me for asking here but it's the best place I think I could ask. One of the characters I want to cosplay is a shirtless dude with chest hair and what's presumably crotch hair, and I'm a girl. What should I do in this situation?
You can cosplay however you like! If you ever feel insecure about it, just remember that the seiyuus (voice actors) for Love Live have more coverage on their shirts than they do in the anime for their own comfort!
As Emma said, you can do so much with cosplay and it in no way needs to be accurate to the original! I've seen a lot of cosplayers give their character a decora fashion or even do an alternate design for the character. It's all about having fun so don't limit yourself to only the original look if you want to do something else!

Tip for sewing on vinyl, use needle nose pliers to pull the needle through. It makes it so much easier

you can get one of those silicone bodies, those can be pricy though. You could wear a binder or a tight skin color shirt as well
