to me this is crash combiners done better. they didn't need the crash gimmick, they needed basic articulation like these. and it's nice that they're reversible and universal, so if they keep making new ones the possible combined forms increase exponentially.
Baltmatrix doing the lords work by reviewing all of the weird shit that we will never buy as usual. Also, Have you considered Beast Box? They have every animal up to and including Axolotls and they are insanely well articulated.
Didn’t think aspects of Transformers Energon were going to make into recent transformer figures until recently. What I mean by that is the shirt & pants mode which came from the old Transformers Energon tv show that aired from 2004-2005. And this is in case someone else is curious about.
Honestly, I hope they continue with these. I would love to see more Autobots from the show Powerlink like in Energon, and especially since I customize my figures, I want to do a SG Nightbeat from Bumblebee, and if they make Optimus, definitely want to make a Thunderclash from him.
I kinda wish that the designers would play around with gimmicks like this more in the main line toys. I kinda miss the Super Robo days of transformers. They are lightly bringing back the ideas again with some of the Legacy figures, but not quite fully embracing it.
I saw these two as well as gamer edition Starscream and some legacy United core class figures in target this past weekend. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen Legacy United and EarthSpark season two stuff.
Honestly I'm gonna buy these guys because I really like how fun they look. Not for articulation or complexity. Its the same kind of fun value that made me like buying the cyber verse spark armor figures
Okay I just picked up the red set (I don’t really know earthspark however I really enjoy the designs of the characters in the show) and I do agree. Twitch does have wonky proportions. However I get heavy jaeger vibes. I want to paint both figures with the intention of an OC of 2 human piloted diaclone mechs that combine
Always bothers me when a Transformer has a windshield or cockpit moulded into the chest, but it doesn't actually correspond to the cockpit in the vehicle mode. Common issue with Starscream figures.
im sorry the exoskeleton whatevers look SO dumb. I really dont like humans and transformers combining or whatever. maybe its just a personal preference
I will say this for the figures, it's nice to see the range/melee gender dynamic flipped. The girl with the sword and the boy with the gun is refreshingly different.
Though I wonder what the two air combiners and the two ground combiners look like together? Otherwise a neat set that makes me want to hunt down the Energon figures first before picking these up.

So ive seen these in stores where people just stole the bumblebee from the packaging and left the mechsuit guy.
