Since this is some years ago, I had not started using GPS. Our main source was the guidebook from Topo Guides FF Randonnée, "La Traversée des Pyrénées. Pyrénées Occidentales." BUT you use it backwards! I have used several of their guides in France, and find them very good. As far as I can remember the marking was quite good. We got some bad weather, and I should have liked to walk there ones more, but now I am 71 years old, and must be a bit realistic. 😀
Good luck! Please note that this video does not show either of these two options. This is GR 10 - not the French route. We followed the Pyrenees out to Irun.
We used five days from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Hendaye/Irun. Stoped in St-Etienne-de-Baigorry, Bidarray, Ainhoa and Olhette. How many kms are not so easy to say. Some days a little more than 20 km and some days a little less than 20 km, I think. It is the meters that go up and down that make you tired on this route! Good luck, if you plan to walk it!
Can you share what maps/resources you used for this section? I’d love to try it. Thx!

Hello, how many days and how many kms?
We used five days from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Hendaye/Irun. Stoped in St-Etienne-de-Baigorry, Bidarray, Ainhoa and Olhette. How many kms are not so easy to say. Some days a little more than 20 km and some days a little less than 20 km, I think. It is the meters that go up and down that make you tired on this route! Good luck, if you plan to walk it!
THANK YOU, SOME DAY, I HOPE.
