that variable pitch screw to accelerate to the speed of the next machine is such a simple elegant solution. Love it
I had to rewatch a few times lol; truly gorgeous
Shoutout to the screenprinter, whose work is such perfection that throughout the hyperviolent process of going from a flat sheet to a formed, sealed, filled and pressurized can that there's not so much as a single scratch on any of them. Outstanding.
Thanks, youtube keeps sending me these videos, and I am addicted.
The engineers who designed these machines are amazing, I did spot one or two aftermarket fixes on the line, which is perfectly normal experience, been there and done that.
Use of a Carousel design of moving the product in a circuit around a fixed station, with each station performing an operation, is a very common technique.
The speed of the line is amazing, thanks, very impressed.
The detail of orientating all the bottles prior to inserting the nozzle mechanism into the can. Really cool. What is also interesting is the age of the equipment... I'm sure the newest piece is the robotic arm that packs to completed boxes on pallet. Cool!!!
The newest piece will be the robotics eye at the final quality control (before the red cap mounting).
@@ДедМазай-т2ш lol I thought the same thing
17M cans per year is just over 46,000 cans per day, or around 1 can every 2 seconds around the clock. That's impressive!
Thank you. I love watching how all these are mass produced. 😀
This is not only manufacturing. This is Modern Art indeed.

Absolutely love the music used on this video. It is so emotional. So tense. Well done to the editors. Butane stoves and cookers are becoming common in the US now. It is a wonderful machine to have, to cook anywhere and very affordable.
The song is "Winter" by Adrian Berenguer.
Are you joking?
this is not butane production! this is butane packaging!
Just *the* thing to keep your Iwatani stove happy!
Note: such a stove appears to be pictured at the end of the Vid!
Stoves like that are only about $20 in the US. The gas comes in a pack of four for 10 to 20 dollars. Very inexpensive
Absolutely amazing watching this video in all the steps needed to produce 1 can of butane. One thing I was thinking about is the maintenance crew and one thing they do is grease the machines everyday-all those rotating shafts , bearings ,etc. They must have guys walking around all day long greasing machines.
I liked the old man watching for any leakage. Easiest method to detect any leakage by passing through liquid.
Hot water specifically. If it can survive hot water, it can survive most conditions.
Thank you! Extremely well made video and very interesting process.
I remember these butane cans were worth their weight in gold during the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
Awesome production ! thank you for sharing with us !
Japanese factories are at a another level.
didnt show filing the can. another level, sure with no ear plugs or saftey glasses
They did, the filling was just after 10:30

There is a serious pinch/grab point, especially for a worker wearing tight fitting gloves, where he is taking stacks of fully cut blanks out of the sorting trays. Look how close his fingers come to the roller that's turning downward into the stationary bar. If it grabbed him he would loose at least a finger and possibly his entire hand. It's in the video at 1.55
I saw that too.
Immediately thought the same thing!
The production is designed to be as professional and well equipped. There's no room for error. Juliang, Bansai Japon!
I love manufacturing and automation. ❤

Kilang di Jepun sangat teratur dan bersih.. Malah kilang gas butane dah bersih lagikan kilang packing makanan.. Lagi lah terjamin bersih dan berkualiti.. Thank a lot sbb kualiti dan keselamatan first
I use a ton on butane camping and it’s incredible to see this production factory. 👍
I love country in japan

10:32 - Notice how once they enter the filling room there is negative pressure and everything past that point is entirely pneumatic (driven by air pressure) so as to not have any motors or electronics that might create sparks or sources of ignition in case there was ever a problem with a fuel leak - at least until the cans leave through the mouse holes at the exit.
I didn't initially, but yes @10:32 - @10:52 does seem to be isolated. I only caught a glimpse @10:17 (in the distance) of where they enter that section. It looks like concrete walls for protection. Did you see indications of negative pressure, or are you making that assumption so that any leaked gas would be exhausted to the outside? The inspection bath and sniffers are after they leave that section, although any possible leak at that point should be fairly small and isolated to a single can.
Is it just me or is this factory super clean definitely not in the USA I've worked in M&M MARS and DURACELL and both not this clean
What an... interesting name for a gas can 😁😁
💥
Very nice video and work
All that to make it and it looked like it took about 2 seconds to fill it with gas. Wow.
They don't fill them all the way lol, you can cut one apart with a can opener and the liquid is gonna be about half to 3/4 full. It's for safety I guess to allow expansion in higher temperatures. They did call it MY BOMBE tho, lmao.
Pretty amazed they name something that could be turned into a bomb "MY BOMBE" !!!
Bombe is originally from German, and its meaning changed to gas canisters.
I use it to extract THC and was laughing at the name.
But also 👀
Ironic, yet fitting name. "My bombe".

This is absolutely the best video on Japanese butane gas can production I've seen in the last 5 minutes.

Amazing video.
Very cool. I'm not sure that brand name would work in the USA though.
Fantastic!
Interesting to see liquid gas being poured into the open bottle before the lid is clamped over.
Some equipment seen there was available in the late 1970s. It still works so why change it!
Where do you see liquid gas? I'm not sure what the red hoses/cables are @10:18, but the bottles were upside down right before that. It is at that stage however that the lid is clamped on, and it doesn't look like enough time to fill, especially through that small a hose if that is what it is. While it doesn't need to be that cold to maintain butane as a liquid (-1C), it would still want to be a refrigerated section isolated from the rest of the factory.
My assumption is that the butane was forced in as a gas @10:32, where a half dozen cans at a time spend a couple of seconds to fill.
The only liquid I see is @11:16, and I assume that is just water as part of the QA looking for leaks, followed by the sniffers @11:24. I am assuming the steam you see at the start of the liquid is because it is hot (near boiling) to help expand the gas and make leaks more apparent. I am guessing the first part of the bath is covered to retain the heat while the canister warms up, and possibly as worker protection as that stage would be the most likely for a can to rupture.
Very interesting, however a serious lack of hearing protection, is very noticeable.
Love to see these!👍☘️
Now i know why there is a spare region on the top of the can... to prevent liquid gas going into the stove :)
This isn't how butane gas is made. This is how butane gas is packaged in cans.
EXCELLENT video - highest standards met
JR
EXCELLENT
Cans are made in Japan but, chances are that the gas is Russian or Chinese
This is the mass production of and filling of Butane Bottles. Not how Butane gas is made! I wish people would correctly title videos! Awesome video otherwise 👌 👍 👏 😀
Thanks
5:51 NICE
Olá amigos parabéns pela automação. Abraços a 👪 e amigos. Ok
Good job

@Ithecastic not that much, just an Accuracy of observation.
Too many people in this world .. Interesting and clever tho ' ..
...wow....perfekt produktion.....very interesting video...
super video

great🎉
