Starting the game with a stuffy doll versus 3 decks that heavily rely on attacking with big blockable creatures is a pretty ideal opening
Wulfgar is amazing. The new equipment from Baldurs Gate....Two Handed Axe....he swings for 24 damage swinging by himself.
Melee triggers twice taking him to 6/6 then the axe doubles his damage...twice....GG!
Amazing game!
Stuffy doll is so underrated in Commander I think. I haven‘t seen a game in a long time where one player finished still at 40 life

can we talk about how the frikraag deck was solely precon cards. The baldur gate precon decks were very much a good buy. Great toolbox commander cards, some fairly expensive cards in general, and they play extremely well on their own. I thought the Frikraag deck was doing too many different thing but the reality is it did its job perfectly this game
I've been running Wulfgar for a while now. Still one of my favorite decks! Swinging with Etali and getting to double that trigger feels incredible. Only challenge is people see it coming and you have to build in lots of haste enablers and protection for your creatures. Pathbreaker Ibex is also an all-star in the deck.
Yeah, Ibex with Wulfgar can be immediate commander lethal. You swing with Ibex n' Wulfgar at different opponents and Wulfgar's Double Melee gives him +4/+4 total, making him an 8/8. Ibex triggers twice, first giving him (and the Ibex) +8/+8 and trample, then an ADDITIONAL +16/+16 off of the second trigger.
Add in two handed axe from baldurs gate....wulfgar hits for 24 per swing!
@@SASPaladin I added that card and it is horrifying. It’s literally just swing with Wulfgar and somebody just dies. The double strike combat trick is also super nice too. Best part is the card cost so little money that there’s no reason to not run it.

Love the Tanazir. If I build voltron, I like them being more unique than typical enchant/equipment up and swing.
Shame Toto didn't get to do much Blitzing, although I did wonder where he was going with the mass threaten spell. It's a pretty interesting option when you've got a sac outlet to get rid of the creatures for value before the end of turn.
Instant removal played at sorcery speed never ceases to amaze me. At least it was the right target - at that time
(Peter - Henzie pilot) Believe me, I couldn't agree more with this statement 9 times out of 10. What you didn't see in the vid is that we had an open discussion with the table where I revealed to everyone that I could either ramp myself on turn 2 or commit to using Rakdos Charm to kill an artifact to help the table, hoping to garner early support against the lightning fast Wulfgar start. I committed to using the Rakdos Charm on my turn to A) prove that I was committed to the line discussed and B) having known that it would target one of the artifacts anyway, I didn't want Wulfgar untapping into a Heroic Intervention or Tibalt's Trickery protection. But yes, instant-speed played at sorcery speed is *usually* not the right play! :)

Tanazir was a very powerful commander of mine, could get him to lethal quick and end the game sometimes in the same turn
we all know that late game arcane signet was what decided this game
Should I feel bad for wishing you wouldn't draw a land to get punished for keeping a one lander?
Wulfgar is just such a nasty commander that can get out of hand so quickly

One of my favorite deck recently is my anti mana screw deck. It's Rhys the redeemed oops all one drops. There are alot of really useful cards in selesnya that if built right with the current meta aren't as useful for anyone else. I did include x1 costs because technically they are still one. This and being able to run hammertime is hilarious.

Tanazir is a good card. I think i want him in my atraxa deck or something.
Henzie looks fun too, i thnk i might change my Xenagos deck into him actually (as i don't really like my xenagos braindead deck anyway).
Firkraag is awesome. I bought him as a single and I took my Dragon Queen deck apart to make an izzet dragon goad deck. Imo it's one of the better legendary dragons.
Evasion, haste, disruption and add to that the possibilty to grow and get stronger. Most of my dragons in that deck are around cmc 4 or 5 to make for less of a battlecruister deck then for example my Ur-dragon deck. It's fun for sure!
Wulfgar is probably overshadowed by Isshin, as the latter has more creature options and better recovery from a board wipe, not to mention costing 2 less.
You trade black/white with green or the otherway. That might change alot :)
I mean one is Mardu the other one Gruul so it opens just very different options of cardpools.
Thats what I like about Commander, that you always have the choice what you prefer more
I personally like Wulfgar more for the fact he has green and that he can threaten kills via commander damage in 3 hits pretty consistently. You also get some heaters like Goreclaw, Klauth, Elder Gargaroth, and Pathbreaker Ibex to bring the pain.
My friend uses Isshin and they’re both good each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Gosh darn it I’ve been searching a good but affordable mogis, god of Slaughter Edh deck group slug but the ones I find that are good but they end up being a thousand or more bucks and i can’t afford that and am not looking for a comp deck just like a lvl 8 or 7 power lvl deck
Why didn’t Peter soak the Radha attack into Sakura tribe elder and then sac at 3:23? Is there something I’m missing here?
it had trample, so blocking and sacrifice would just allow the damage to trample over anyway.

If youre considering building wulfgar, i might suggest isshin instead. Does a better version of the same thing (triggers regardless of who controls the creature attacking), has three colors (so more options), and costs 2 less mana (so its easier to keep having to recast it when it gets answered). The only thing you lose is the melee ability which makes wulfgar commander damage a much more viable option, but since he has no evasion, it doesnt seem very worth it.
@harwa what manes wulfgar very different and more fun for you? Serious question, not just attacking your counterpoint.
Why didn't you exile the Sword of the Animist with your Scooze in response to the Eternal Witness? Yeah you wouldn't get the +1/+1 counter on it, but I feel like preventing him from getting that sword back is more important.
