- Indian mythology is replete with tales in which food plays an interesting role. With mythologist Devdutt Patnaik as his special guest, Chef Ranveer plans a meal of Vidur Ka Saag, Maach and Bhaat.
The saag has an unsuspecting ingredient - chopped banana skins! Devdutt tells Ranveer about the significance of Vidur ka saag in Mahabharat. Ranveer is suitably impressed.
For the maach, it’s fish with a spread of raw mango and mustard, steamed in a patori style. And there’s delicious Gobindobhog rice to go with it. Wherever Devdutt sir goes.. Andhbhakt follows😂😂😂. A beautiful episode by the way. Saag and fish are truly a symbol of abundance in Eastern part of India. And from marriage to puja, nothing is complete without that. I think this video was made many years ago. Thanks for those beautiful stories on our mythology.

Arrrrrrrrr please change the title. It should be 'Vidur Ka Saag' not 'Vidhur Ka Saag'.
Vidhur = विधुर = someone who's wife is no more.
Vidur = विदुर = brother of Dhritarashtra and Pandu.
Why epic is promoting Devdut , his writing is full of mistakes . He is not a worthy guy to lecture us on our history and past . He is not a sanskriti scholar, without knowing sanskriti how he can lecture us .
Devdutt ji explained few things, may or may not be correct (as he is not pointing the reference scripture names). again he did not noted 33 Gods not 33 koti (crore) gods...

if fish is not got from farm fresh waters, most probably fish will have pollution plastics and all of chemicals being dumped into water along with garbage wastes, so when fish is cut open that's all you will get...
