@@DownedHarambe in hindsight, a lot of players are realizing that BFV was a very average game indeed.
As I said in earlier comment BF1 will not be so easily forgotten. 2042 is cool and new but bf1 has this feel to it, that instant classic vibe. And watching you play in these videos is like watching a movie. No other game feels the same.
Been saying it for years, that something is, they put the AAA effort into bf1. BFV look like it got rendered to fit with fortnite. Over saturated hypey, runny, fast pased rat race. It has no resemblance of what the period peace was about.
Same goes for BF2042. Even faster gameplay, broken weapon mech, even faster gameplay, smaller player modeks, bad muzzle velocity, op assault rifles, nerfed everything else, not to mention sniping.
What these tubers dont realise is, BF1 is almost the last true effort of a bf or quality game dir that matter.
Dont think we will see a game as well made as BF1.
Yes, I agree, watching BF1 gameplay is like watching a movie, I get mesmerized by it, BFV gameplay is not the same, I get quickly bored watching it.

People didn't give the game a chance to really shine, and it's kind of a tragedy.
I can’t believe that our 5 years journey is coming to end. I’m seriously attached to this game. Played it in my happiest days, in my darkest times, with my dearest friends and in my loneliest times.
Nothing is coming to an end, if you truly love the game you will keep playing it.

@@crishm7228 i bet he thinks the game is gonna die after 2042's release, little does he know that there is a large community that loves the game and considers one of if not the best battlefield games ever made (myself included) and that half the people don't have or can't afford a pc to match the requirements of the game or a next gen console.

@@DownedHarambe idk man my region's servers are dead too (middle east) but i find tons of EU servers that are full with queues even so just because one or two regions servers are dead doesn't mean the game is dying, take apex legends for example the Bahrain servers which are the middle east servers barely have 5 people in them but look at the state of the game it's thriving rn
A lot of love went into BF1. The sounds: hearing bodies hitting the floor felt like they had weight or screams if a character dies rolling down a hill, the deep, impactful boom of explosions, the gun sounds changes depending on environment. The voice work of soldiers fitting to the time.
The sounds of the behemoths entering with old foghorns, I especially like the period sound of the armoured steam train rolling in.
Atmospherics: frequently weather changes from sun, rain to fog in a match. The destruction, even non structural like exterior cladding of buildings being damaged and amount of dust clouds afterwards from blowing stuff up.
BF1 had it the small details that made it shine. Everything felt like it had weight and heft. Soldiers felt weighted in their animation and movement etc.
The colour grading is near perfect some scenes like Amiens, the overcast River Somme wheat fields and looking over the distant mountains on Monte Grappa look believable. Colours are not too drab or too saturated depending on weather conditions.
A labour of love BF1 is. Imo.
Can't agree more. One thing I like to read is people that appreciate the sound quality. It sure isn't the most popular aspect of a game but the one that if done GOOD, can imply a masterpiece. It's one of things that make the game immersion different.
But it ruined by cheaters :(

The kills, and especially the kill sounds, are just so smooth and satisfying in this game. I hope there are enough dedicated fans of BF1 that will still play it even after BF2042 comes out.

Bf2042 will have so many bots in the lobbies a few months after launch it'll be terrible, they won't be able to have 128 person servers filled for very long

I so miss the behemoth mechanic of BF1 to help a badly losing team to try turn the tide
And team balance, that was sadly missing in bfv
the behemoth doesn't help most of the time, but I have been in a few matches where it did turn the tide, either way the behemoth made the gameplay more interesting for both teams.

Man I sure miss behemoths. I was in a game the map was I think it was Ballroom Blitz. The blimp crashed on the courtyard and it caused havoc. Not to mention it changed the layout of the battlefield too. Shit like that is so special.
BF 1 is absolutely stunning till today, for me this game is pure Art. Level design, Sounds, (especially kill sounds), and all the soundtracks. In my opinion, it has the best-balanced classes. I still play it today. If you want a real war game with badass action, you should hop on BF 1. And as you already said in your video - if you understand the movement, it's so damn great to play.
BF1 so good. I don’t understand why DICE didn’t follow up on the greatness of BF1. They just abandoned everything great with it for the sake of change.
Because they wanted to appeal on casual fps players, for them BF1 is boring maybe, slow tanks, slow planes etc. My friend was hardcore BF5 player, told him many times to get BF1, that he would love it more. So many times he rejected, but now he got on sale, no more BFV crap for him XD

They went all out with this game. It's beautiful, plays amazingly, is balanced and so much fun. Great maps, if a little sloggish when on foot. It's just very well made which is saying so much in these days of rushing titles to market.
Bf1 is already a classic. Gotta love this game even with some of the things in it.
BF1 will forever have a special place in this casual gamers heart. I recon I'll keep coming back to it much in the same way as I do with CS 1.6

My god! Besides the millions of problems in bf2042, my biggest problem is the unnecessarily huge map design. Bf1 had such a perfect map size, now it's just fuckin battle royale with objectives and respawn.

2042 hasn't even launched yet. You're making an opinion on a game based on a beta, compared to a game that's been out for 5+ years. BF1 was shit when it launched. Did you forget? Millions of people went right back to Bf3 and Bf4 like a week later. It's gotten drastically better over time but this game was overwhelmingly hated when it launched

BF1 was one of the best fps I played, and still playing to this day. Great atmosphere and great map design with lots of cover. Also the engagement between flag in conquest is packed unlike BF V which is mostly running simulator between flags.
And has the best Sound of all Battlefield titles
I don't think they can reproduce the atmosphere of BF1 again. as much fun as BF2042 is, it doesn't come close to how BF1 feels. for me it is the best BF out there when it comes to immersion and atmosphere

When bf5 came out sure I had fun but after a while I just couldn’t help but keep coming back to bf1 and ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT TIME.

Been playing since BF 1942 back in the day. This is the BEST version. Movement, sound (ka-ching), visual atmosphere (rich without being distracting like Bf5) ... hell, I even like the bipods in this game better than any other. I think it is impossible for 2042 to surpass this. Especially since 2042 will require everyone and there brother to buy a new Xbox or even PC. Phooey.
The reason i didn't play bf5 its because i enjoyed the bf1 and still do specily the hardcore mode. Anyway, great content and cool killstreak moments... ✌✌✌

I’ll tell yall a story. I played Bf1 since Day 1 with my mates on XboxOne. Later i switched on Ps4 and played Bf5. I love it, dont get me wrong but i got flashbacks to those Bf1 days and even had tears as the music was playing

I tried the beta of BF 2042 and was bored because there was no immersive film atmosphere of BF1. Too aseptic, too plastic, it seems like a game made for kids who just want to make kills. The rest was left. I will play BF1 as long as the servers exist to still experience the heroic emotion of the battle and the team. I will not buy BF 2042, I leave it to the kids. I hope you will continue to bring BF1 here on TouTube from time to time, it is a sight to watch you and try to learn from you.

Only complaints I had w this game was the vehicle combat and the boat call in
It's all about battle feeling, Maps, Sounds/SFX... all is perfect in BF1
Maybe two points to mention, the Sweet spot mechanism, and the kill timing (lag)... otherwise It's just a daily fun game.

Bro... I was in final year of high school and was under of a lot of stress so I played bf1 to chill out and take my mind of things. Put on those noise caning headphones, iced Coke on the table, and bam. I'm not in this world anymore. I'm in battlefield. What an experience this game was. But I do think gameplay wise it's the most shallow battlefield, not including hard-line of course since we don't talk about hard-line 😂
I don't understand how the same company went from THIS to bf5 and now 2042. Its not even comparable. It baffles me how they seemingly don't realise that they already nailed the formula.

I went back to BF1 after about 3 months of BFV. Lack of maps and frustration with changes they made.
Its still so damn good. Fun first and foremost. Epic battles and masterpiece atmosphere. They really captured it and its polished. I know it too had some issues at the start but Dice were committed.
All I want for Christmas is the old ways again. Bring back Premier Pass, we want our battlefield back. If I wanted to play battle Royale, I would but I don't. I just want a class battlefield again.
I remember trying out the beta of BF1. I could tell within a few minutes that this was going to be a legendary classic of a game.
I have a conspiracy that dice never cared abiut bf5 it was sorta like hardline. I feel like they quickly made it to keep us fans busy until bf2042 which they knew about years ago but never went public with it until earlier this year

This game is such a masterpiece. They need to remake bf5 in this fashion. There is so much potential in the second world war.
I played a lot of BF1942, some BF2, no BF3, a lot of BC, some BF4, a bit of hard-line, a lot of BF1, 2 hours of BFV, back to BF1. Still playing BF1. The atmosphere is great and I like the stripped down gunplay. No fancy gadgets and attachments. 5 man squads (sometimes glitch 6) are cool and allow for better team play. And the graphics still look good
The attention to detail on the reload animations alone has more love put into it than all of 2042
Nothing compares to the atmosphere and gravitas of BF1, the respect for history in the form of cut/loading scenes and codex to name a couple of elements outside the gameplay. 2042 is a bright and happy Fortnite variant for kids, containing no context or immersion. Unfortunately there just aren't any servers for BF1 in Australia or I'd still be playing.
Bf1 logic: let’s make all the assault weapons that are 9mm a lot more powerful than all the support guns that most of them shoot 7.62 or 30 cal rounds. Because that makes sense.
Totally agree. BF1 is probably the best fps i have played, and there is so much detail that i keep discovering. The immersion is fantastic. I sometimes think i'm nuts for liking this game so much, i switch to other WW1&2 games, then after a few hours I go back to BF1. And it's a shame that there are so many people that haven't played it yet
