Black metal is about atmosphere to me and this sums it up perfectly. Deranged vocals with solid riffs and an uneasy atmosphere with a bit of madness in it. Exactly what I signed up for

Very well put. For me to enjoy black metal it has to have THAT atmosphere AND somehow be catchy. Therefore, I'm extremely picky with it, and am ridiculed by the few friends I have that are, let's say bm connoisseurs..😅 my top three are dark throne's a blaze in the northern sky, vikingland by satyricon, and this fucking masterpiece.

honestly for 15 years this has been like a meme song to us, my fellow black/death metal buds play it to people for a laugh since its like the complete embodiment of everything people think BM is to an asburd degree, mixed with the actual incredible artistry and skill that us musicians and fans enjoy about metal, its a bizarre schizophrenic track.
it does genuinely kick ass though, it may not be a timeless song like youd get from dissection/darkthrone/emperor/watain etc but its still solid haha, and honestly he was genuinely batshit looney tunes

+Acid King , Actually, the kind voice ( for me ) really matching are Whispers and then Howls ( Like in Host by Nocturnal Depression ) it reflects well the feels, but here, i don't like a lot the vocals, too high, too "powerful"
but the thing that really matters is the feels he wanted to give.
I don't think i will hear the vocals version a lot of time, but the instrumental version is very cool.

When I heard it the first time I thought of Yoda's voice from the original SW trilogy. Makes me regret we never got to see a torture scene with Yoda as he can sound both hilarious and grim/menacing (like when he says: "You will be, you will be" to Luke) and probably also like he is in pain (both physical and psychological). But Alas, we got this instead. Also worth checking out is how some frogs sounds when being poked/distressed and with the glorious resurrection of Kek/Pepe the Frog (the Egyptian god of primordial darkness & madness), the phrase used in this song: "Leap from life, leave yourself" makes so much more sense, as we all know what creatures leaps the best - the frog.

i don't really listen to this, it's not my thing i it gives me chills, but always remember this: silencer is a band in the dsbm genre (depressive suicidal black metal). now, the genre normally has these type of vocals, totally schizophrenic and showing suffering and on that point of view, i find this band one of the best bands i ever listened too. they nailed their music. they're good.

@Justin Bishoff I find that heroin addicts notices a lot details in lyrics all genres (but especially degenerated dsbm related to urban negativism and mental illness) could be about destructive behaviors and effects of opiates or opioids, also the only possible positive in dsbm must be about sedative pure happiness of their potential ideal dose of heroin. I think it's understable cause if you once had thought about heroin it's the only relief in your deep sickness, it will take all away - as it's pain, disease, as all other things and people you ever had. Injections like kisses on the morning light and for the goodnight because you can't sleep without feeling ground like a comfortable pillow, closing one eye effect. There's no more tommorow without it, no mental health without it, and no yourself as you truly are. The oldest heroinists says "use or die mentality", I didn't really understand this phrase untill heroin gave me the only positive I can feel with my cureless suffering mind.
You see H in anythig you have in your isolated existence.
You have only one fear - not having your dose, or sometimes when you can't find the right vein, eventually.
The ceremony of injecting diamorphine is now your moments of knowing silnce with the closest soulmate, like act of love. It won't hurt you. Never.
It will take your breath, holding you once stronger, longer, deeper in sweet decadance till permanent death.
There's no cure or substitute substance for finally feel alive, while society thinks your life is worth losing.
      Lost.
Blood-brain second(s). 1ml, 1 shot is not enough. First, then 10 times is normal. (Use or DIE)
      Finally.
      Nothing.

Then, his brother was sent to a mental hospital. He committed suicide 2 days after the murder out of guilt. Nattramn was broken because he had loved his brother, and had felt a sense of hate towards those nurses in the hospital because they didn’t give his brother his treatment. His brother, uncontrollably, committed total ruckus. After realizing his mistake - he offed himself. Nattramn, then again, felt saddened and had very, very strong emotions. He ended up getting sent to a Psychiatric ward because he ended up also ending up with schizophrenia. Actually - Nattramn had always been severely, mentally ill. When his brother had died - that’s when it got to a life threatening point. Therefore, he too, was sent to a ward. But he didn’t kill children. He did indeed make music in the ward, though. The nurses didn’t help him, that’s the detail that everybody gets wrong. They just gave him a keyboard and studio thingy as “musical therapy”. He then created Diagnose: Lebensgefahr. Yeah.

What is with you fucking morons dissing people like Eminem and Marilyn Manson? What? Is that jealousy due to them bringing their shit to the masses? At least their audience reflects the musician. If you were confronted by this in the real world, you would shit your little panties."
-Niklas Kvarforth, on the intro track of the album "The Eerie Cold".
Honestly, being against the mainstream whilst hailing these people as geniuses is just as retarded and sheep-like as the people you hate, and in that respect I believe the Kvarforth is right. Before you get all fucking worked up about how "Kvarforth has nothing to do with Silencer", I'd like to remind you that he was, and apparently still is, in close contact with Leere [the one who wrote all the songs], Nattramn [the vocalist and lyricist] and Steve Wolz [the session drummer]. Don't make a fool out of yourself.

Some of his albums prior to that featured a somewhat confused and incoherent musical image, and though “IV” would seem to rectify this issue, it’s ultimately nothing but a regressive, laughably talentless work of image-obsessive nonsense."
