If ye get the right fit ye may neigh find them as discomfortable as I did with the narrow shape, but the inner sole cushioning is nowhere near as spongy as the Thoro, even w' Thirsty kinda known for overall comfort compared to leather insole boots like Red Wing. Yes, the other brand costs more and has the thinner or more pliant tumbled leather, so they're neigh considered the Fashion brand, so it can depend why ye want them, etc., but one could still use the Diplo for work boots more than some their other models, I suppose, because the leather is stiff enough and depends on the type of work. But I would need them at least two half-sizes bigger or possibly wide width. Thoro ye may still wish a wide width, especially if getting Steel Toe option. I have vids about them that I ordered on accident last year, but they don't really need break-in but some don't like walking in wedge soles at all, either. An adjustment maybe. I usually suggest ordering two sizes and returning the odd one for best fit if can't try on in store first, but Thoro ran more true to size for me.
Appreciate the review!
Are these more comfortable than thorogood moc toes?
