If you don't go so deep inside the den, but give them a little space, then they will stay there. Feed and leave the food close to the entrance, but don't go deep inside too much. Then they will feel 'not too much inside, we have dome space' and they will stay.
I feed a wild red fox, too. Yes, they kiss your hand and nod their heads. That is how they say "I know you. I love you, my friend." They are not comfortable with touching their heads like cats or dogs.

Very nice. Very nice to see the brother is back and alive, and still close to his sister. Very nice to see he seemed not especially hungry. He found back the way to the den - and to his sister. And she was more alert and with the right behaviors. You get a study of gox life and behaviors. That's the nicest gift.
Not sure the mither isstill aroubd though. The brother might have come back, finally finding his way back after getting lost. Although he seemed not especially hungry.
It's good he was wilder and keeping away of the den while you were there - not wanting to approach.
Hisshouts and nervousness, it'd just because he is in the wild,and was in the wild for 2 days. He might be calling his mother. We'll see if she shows up again.
A couple more days, and the sisyer will be independent too. And they probably know to hunt by instinct, despite no education by the mother.

そうなんですよ。
人も動物も上から圧迫される様なコンタクトって警戒しますよね。特に動物は親から叱られる時は上からガブッされるので、人間なら上から目線なんて言葉もあるくらいなので…
なので同じ目線の高さからのコンタクが良いんです。
過去に抱く事は出来ているんですから抱き抱える時と同じ高さから触れ合うのが近道なんです。
仰るとおり、コンタクトする側が恐る恐るなんて相手に警戒して！と言っている様なものですよ。笑

Хорошо что вы своим свистом предупреждаете лисят о своем приближении, но свист не характерен для лисьего языка, они общаются с помощью других звуков. Даже если мать лисица рядом, она не выйдет на ваш посвист, если будет не очень голодна.
