- Open TTD is a classic transport tycoon game which focuses on making money and having fun whilst glitching out the economy and breaking the game to your friends dismay. A more accurate description would be this: "OpenTTD is an open source simulation game based upon the popular Microprose game "Transport Tycoon Deluxe", written by Chris Sawyer. It attempts to mimic the original game as closely as possible while extending it with new features."
Anyway today ladies and gentlemen we are going to be using British humour to see if open TTD is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits. Or if the fact that the unlimted money glitch is broken. Yes so today we brake the classic video game of Open TTD with some fantastic exploits.
Fantastic Perfectly Balanced Merchandise: yogsca.st/Perf...
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. If you enjoyed this then be sure to check out more. The style is similar to RT game and callmekevin in parts. A large influence on this series has come from Valefisk and The Killian Experience.
So sit back relax and enjoy this Transport Tycoon challenge!

title: Open TTD IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED GAME WITH NO EXPLOITS - Excluding Unlimited Money Glitch Is Broken
#OpenTTD #Funny #Montage
The exploit on the original 1990s TTD was to build a tunnel from edge to edge the whole length of the map. The cost would eventually wrap round to a negative number if it was long enough and give you hundreds of millions to start with.
Good old times. :D
But eventually after a certain amount of time the money integer would go down negative equal amount. Unless you had the four billion cash, you'd be screwed.
Another exploit in the original was to buy 75% of a failing company. You keep their business screen on while their finances go in the red until the company collapses, then you sell the shares for hundreds of millions. You can help it along by isolating all their vehicles.
I discovered that exploit by complete accident, tried making a train tunnel but moved the mouse too quick... bam! multiple billionaire. honestly sat there for several seconds afterwards.... wondering what I'm actually looking at, 90's were a great time
My favourite exploit from original Transport Tycoon (pre-Deluxe) was that whoever owned the railway half of a level crossing owned the level crossing... so you could build level crossings on competitors' (or city-owned) roads and just bulldoze them to your heart's content. Deluxe fixed that "sadly".

Yup, moving power in and out of California to manipulate electricity prices - capitalism at its finest ;)
And they would have been successful too had it not been for the fact that there were people just as intelligent as they were that caught on.
I heard about a bottle laundering group once. They picked up bottles in the province of Alberta (Canada) and moved them north across the border into the Northwest Territories to recycle them because the bottle depots there paid more. With gas prices the way they are, I don't know how they were making a profit.
