Rick, in your first example after you punch in 1.2x10^4 and hit the equals sign, --simply press the ENG key to then convert THAT answer to engineering notation (in multiples of the power of 3), which is 12x10^3 or 12k, or 12 kilo. /Regards
For me it is not showing it in decimal. It will just show the scientific notation or in fraction form. How do I make it so it will show the decimal equation?
You can see how to convert fractions to decimals and how to change your settings so you always get decimals here ua-cam.com/video/PBKfxDmoXHI/v-deo.html
hola. yo he comprado esta calculadora y no la he podido configurar...mi problema es que hablo español y no entiendo el tutorial en ingles nececito ayuda por favor...
Hi Joel, you can see how to enable scientific notation mode on your calculator at 2:40 in the video. I hope this answers your question, and let me know if it does not!
Hi Ishan. The little "M" on the screen in the top left just means that I have a number stored in my "M" memory slot, it will not affect the use of Scientific Notation or any other typical function on this calculator. You can see more about the memory slots on this calculator in my video called: How to use the Memory to Store and Recall values on the Casio fx-300 ES Plus Calculator ua-cam.com/video/DEo7ZmVKEM0/v-deo.html Check out 2:32 on that video for the "M" memory slot
Yeah I was that kid in high school who thought I would never end up using precal math in the future... and now I'm here! Thanks for the lessons mate
You are an absolute *lifesaver*!! Thank you so much for this tutorial: I was very confused. This is a pretty cool calculator, once you get to know it!
Saved my life. Thank you for teaching me about norm 2
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear this was helpful! good luck with your classes this year!
For 5x10^-3 , when I pressed S D my calculator didn't give me 0.005 but 5x10^-3 again, what do I do?
I figured it out on mine so what u do is
5x10 then EXP -3 should do it
Thank you so much I was so confused, after this videos I finally understood! I have a CASIO calculator.
for some reason when I tried the 5x10-3 then hit the S-D key it doesn't give an answer. It displays 5x10-3. Not sure what I am doing wrong!
I have the same issue :(
Try setting up your calculator to mth10 under setup
Make sure calc is in norm2 setup
@@amanvirsingh861 I was having the same issue and tried this out, thank you!
@@amanvirsingh861 Thank youuuu so much!!! you saved my life

finaly that is the thing i was looking for and not the exponents symbol
Thank you so much, this helped a lot!

bro where is this ^ on this calculator
What's norm 1?
Norm 1 is similar, but it displays small numbers like 0.00001 in scientific notation (1x10^-5)
Ok but how do I enable it
