These are easily the best guides on UA-cam. I would be very interested to see alternate versions of them going over the challenges of each encounter. Is this something you've considered?

For the pen/ant callouts, it needs to clarified better that the player calling out their middle symbol is NOT for their plate. The pen/ant callout is for the plate that calls out left or right.
Last wish is actually easy. Salvation's edge is now the longest raid in teems of raid race but the reason why last wish took long cause everyone were under leveled. Salvation's took 19 hours because how hard it is.

3:10, the side on which the symbol callouts appear determines penumbral or antumbral. If you hear a callout that matches a symbol on your display, left is PEN and right is ANT. Feels finicky to explain, but it’s easy to get a flow going.
Nice guide but i still have a question i have tried this raid once but once we got to the riven boss fight and she emerged i shot her eyes but after dealing x amount of damage to it we all got whipped out what did i do wrong?
It’s a lot of moving parts, you should have seen how long it took our Sherpa to explain it! Honestly, the only reason I got a grip on it is because I spent like 20 minutes repeating it back, asking clarifying questions and running the encounter for my team. If you follow these steps exactly without understanding them, you will complete it! Knowing it in your bones is something else 😂
^ I second that. I would say that the easiest way to learn this particular encounter is to do it as one of the runners, and to do it a lot. Find someone who knows what they're doing, get involved, and just keep running the encounter, asking questions as the come (usually after a wipe ;-; ).
Unpopular opinion. Destiny shoudl've man raids a 4 player activity. You cannot coordinate 6 random people, especially in europe where people speak differing levels of english. It's just simply unrealistic. Not to mention the actual solo players have to look at videos like this, and lie in every single lobby that they know what to do.
That’s a good point, here in the US language barriers are less of a problem but the number of European LFGs I get is actually pretty high. The game desperately needs a concise ping/emote system for non-verbal comms. We console bois can’t type fast :(
@@cketch yeah, i do get a lot of americans in fireteam finder as well. I imagine the ping must be crazy. But palying actually seem fine so idk how they do it. In europe, Destiny is a completely different game than in the US. As soon as the marker says "matchmaking: OFF" you've got a real headache..... and not just with raids. Imagine finding someone to do the dual destiny with.... it's not just you have to find a good player, but someone who can communicate with you, and in the case of some activites and raids. That's equally as important. So since we have got 27 langauges, it's an absolute nightmare to find someone.

I always wanted to do my 1st raid, but watching this video made me not want to do a raid anymore, it seems so convoluted 😭
Root of Nightmares is a much better raid for beginners, but I promise that pulling off complicated mechanics is a thrill. Very worth it!
