- Join us for a stay at Kings Island Camp Cedar Luxury outdoor luxury lodge and RV resort in Mason, Ohio, during our first ever visit to Kings Island amusement park (which is right across the street!)! We stay in a beautiful, charming cottage in the style of a tiny house, complete with golf cart, fire pit, grilling pit, picnic table and all the other fun amenities of a camping style stay! In this video, I give you a full tour of our Hickory cottage and its farmhouse design, including all the amenities indoor and out, but more than just a tour of the cottage, main lobby and grounds, this video is about us showing you our authentic stay at the cottage and all the fun we had glamping. We have the best time cooking on the campsite cooking grill after doing some local grocery shopping, taking a few joy rides on the golf cart, watching the Kings Island fireworks from the campsite, lighting a campfire, roasting marshmallows, making smores, and watching the sun rise and set over our lovely little lake. I love it when a park becomes a full-blown resort; equipped with activities and amenities outside of the park, where you can just spend some down time.
Those of us that have worked at kings island ( 3 generations of my family) love it and are very proud of our little park!
I am still friends and we still have reunions with those I worked with back in the early 80s…

The big kid in me would definitely be sleeping up on that mezzanine level….so cool!!! We are doing a Pigeon forge/Gatlinburg trip in 2024, and you’re making me want to do a road trip while we are there, This campsite looks so chilled out xx

WOW! loved the video on Camp Cedar. Kings Island really had a struggle to get the resort built with delays from the pandemic. It really looks like it all has come together. I have wondered what the cabins and grounds look like. Thanks for taking us with you on your adventure.

Thanks for giving so much love to my childhood park!😊 btw…the small roller coaster you rode in the other vid. in the kiddie land area (I forget what they call it now) used to be called the Beastie. It was my very first roller coaster I ever rode!(I was prob 5 or 6). I still love it! You brought back such a good memory for me of riding that with my dad & sister! Thanks for showing that too!💜

I so would sleep in that loft, until I needed a pee in the night ( or had a few beers before bedtime ). Top tip avoid any new neighbors games that involve bottles or keys . What a beautiful place though , somewhere we would stay on our next trip

My fave part of camping is that smoky smell, I usually camp in the mountains for 2 weeks, in a tent, no clamping for me! When I get home my clothes still have that smoky smell, it's the best!
The smell of a campfire evokes so many emotions, it’s an entire mood!! Your hair and clothes smell like smoke after and you know you had the best time!
I loved this video. Something a little different. The wine bottle thing was so relatable. I've been there with the "oh no! I need a wine opener!" 😆

My family always camped on vacation and we stayed in the Kings Island campground probably in the mid 70’s. It did not look like that! 😂😂 How fun!!

Great to see you enjoyed it. There is a really cool new brewery just minutes from there at the Cartridge Brewing Co. along the Little Miami River. You need to visit Thursday for a meal and some craft brews 🍻

What a beautiful place and lovely that you can see the fireworks from there. There are times at night I get thrown off with it’s still being light out. I loved the gift bag they left for you how sweet..

Just finished watching this video, bought back so many memories of our family trips, we always stayed at KOA campgrounds and rented a cabin or a cottage, in places like Chattanooga, Boulder-Colorado, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone,Yosemite, just to name a few and being able to set at a campfire overlooking a lake or mountains , just a great experience-golf cart driving , good job Jackie

It has been so funny watching your road trip videos. We began from MI and stayed at Camp Cedar and visited Kings Island, then did 3 days at Holiday World and are now doing two days at Dollywood. We are just missing you guys by days at each stop.

Camp Cedar looks fun. We might have to check it out ourselves. We live 2 ish hours away in Ohio. We go to Kings island once or twice a year. Used to be season pass holders but that was years ago. Kings Island has grown as an overall park and property over the last few years. Camp Cedar looks nice. Hope you had fun!
Yes Kings Island has grown soooo much, I'd definitely keep my season if I lived close! But then again you might be closer to Cedar Park, which is amazing!

I went to kings island the year it opened. They have a great Halloween theme in the fall and it is sooooo fun...glad you are enjoying Ohio so far. I am in Columbus.

OMG!!!! This little cabin is soooo cute!!! All the comforts of a hotel but more private. Ok so we have tons of Kroger’s where I live. They are ok. I prefer Tom Thumb’s. So it looks like y’all had a very nice time staying there. I’m glad that y’all had some friendly neighbors to help y’all. Can’t wait to see where y’all go next.
I'm enjoying the cross country trip you two are on and it's very helpful to point out all the other destinations one can go on with the visuals & insight to the areas.
It would have been neat to run into you two while in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. My family & I were at the same Camp Margaritaville at the end of June to first of July for a week.

Guessing you are going to Cedar Point? You won’t be disappointed! You should check out the Lake Erie islands while you are in Sandusky. Kelleys Island is a great day trip with lots of history, activities, and fun places to eat and grab drinks. We have a place there and will be around this weekend. Happy to provide more details if you like. Have fun!
Oddly, these islands have been mentioned for other vloggers to check out after visiting Cedar Point. But never seen anyone do it? Maybe because you have to devote couple hours just for logistics and travel on ferries. Plus, Put-in-Bay can be pretty crazy after 5pm
@@johngosbee5574 yes it would definitely require one to extend their trip in order to check them out. Put-in-Bay does get crazy on the weekends for sure. Kelleys is much more laid back.
If you like driving the Golf Cart around go to Put-In-Bay Island in Ohio very close to Cedar Point Ohio.
90% percent of the traffic on the island is Golf Carts .
It is a tourist island with 2 caves to explore and a 300 foot tall monument in the mide of the island.
