And to this day, Sam is still stuck in the T3 restraints 😂 yup, it used to be a Six Flags park from 1998 to 2010 when amid a bankruptcy, Six Flags ceased operations of the park immediately on February 4, 2010 after the rejected their lease with the Kentucky State Fair Board. Ed Hart hoped to have it reopen that year by Memorial Day, but negotiations initially failed and it wasn't until January 2013 that the state fair board approved the lease, and the park reopened in 2014. Holiday World in Indiana was even interested in operating it!
As a Ky girl, I am glad to know that Kentucky Kingdom has been purchased and may get some attention! I think it has a lot of potential but, in my opinion, from day one there has just always been something missing! You and Sam are so much fun! You live in Orlando where they have some of the most awesome theme parks in the world but you still enjoy all of the little things in smaller parks and fun touristy things! I think you all just have fun whatever you do and it’s so much fun to watch! 💕💕
If I had a nickel, for every time Ed Hart saved the park, I'd have two nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. "No running, diving or horseplay" I guess when it comes to whether or not this park allows horses, the answer...is _neigh_
Wow, second post. Love your road trips and already got a lot of ideas for our next year vacation. You and Sam are so excited about new things, it is just amazing to watch both of you together. Have a great time and greetings from Bavaria.❤
That was super cool. I've never even heard of that park before. Kay and I liked it being sort of small with less crowds. (Except water park) Can't wait to see more!!!
Enjoyed your video. You did such good coverage of the rollercoasters as they went by. Sam did great driving while you were relaxing in the back seat of the old car.😁 Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Continue to have fun on your trip and be safe. Waiting for the next video.
I love how you are visiting all parks in different states so cool 😎 and that’s cool 😎 they have fair rides and roller coasters 🎢 and never crossed a street at theme park before
Hey, Jackie! I'm really hoping your next video is Holiday World! I worked there as my first job out of high school 10 years ago. It's an awesome park! Loving this series, too!
I go There every Once a Year and its fun there the food is great I lived in Kentucky my whole life And the best rollercoaster and Rides and movies and stuff Its a great Place!
Jackie if you get back near Chattanooga again you guys should check out LAKE WINNEPESAUKAH. It's not very far from Chattanooga in Rossville Georgia.. It's a classic amusement park opened in 1925.
Thank you so much for this video. I lived in Louisville for a few years back in the early 90s. I visited Kentucky Kingdom quite a bit. It has changed a lot! Glad to see Thunder Run is still there. And, yes, the airport is not far from the park. 🙂
Hi Jackie and Sam. Love the Fun Facts by Sam about the Coasters. Sam must have felt at home on Tin Lizzie's. Another park to put on my places to visit. Stay safe, have Fun, and on to the next Adventure.
Fun again! You are taking well to horn honking in a tunnel 😂😂 I've never been to Kentucky or that area either so glad to see places I have never had the chance to go! Oh and I forgot to mention that no wonder they are good people if owned by Silver Dollar City and Dollywood; they seem like quality organizations. Thanks J & S!
This park looks like a lot of fun!! We have it on our to do list once our daughter gets to 48” as she loves thrill rides. Definitely a lot she can go on! Thanks for sharing this with us and love your road trips!
Never heard of this park…to be honest a little lackluster BUT I love the carnival rides at the first half like Dollywood has, brings back memories of my childhood.
another great video Jackie have you though on trying 6 flags you and Sam might like that too my friend anyway i am loving you guys videos and keep up the great work and i love you guys too
Glad to see you visit our local park here in Kentucky. I have experienced the ups and downs of this park since it opened in 1987. Our family enjoys the water park but I’m in hopes that their are plans to add more rides in the future. I wish I would have known you would have been there. My family would have loved to meet you both. Love your videos and safe travels.
I love all kind of Amusementparks! All days of your roadtrip is a experience! Thank you for this! You and Sam are a wonderful coupe. All luck, best wishes and a ton of love! Nice days for you booth!
Looks like fun, I would like to pair it with a day at Holiday world. I also like to buy magnets from every park we visit. Looking forward to the next video!
Another great stop on this mega road trip! I love seeing you guys travel to places I've never been to; it helps me live my travel dreams out vicariously! Haha. Jackie, I love your purple glasses, and Sam, I love your shirt! Hoping to see y'all keep coming north to PA and OH :) Keep having safe travels!!!
I was there for my first time as well, I saw you filming by StormChaser and the front gift shop, haha. Being able to Marathon StormChaser with no line was crazy. T3 was running later in the day, around 6, and easily had the longest line in the park, you didn't miss much by not riding it. The ride op on Thunder Run was one of the best of our entire trip too, dude was hilarious.
I grew up in Louisville as a teen. Kentucky Kingdom was the first place I ever rode a rollercoaster, Thunder Run. Also remember when they opened Hurricane Bay. So many great summer memories with friends as a teen.
So fun that they had a dog show featured there for a bit! It reminds me of when I saw a dog show at my home park, Canobie Lake Park. After their show, you could go up and meet the dogs and pet them, and that was my favorite part 💜 Canobie also has antique cars, and we have an old picture of me as a little kid on one of them.
I’m never this early to a video but yours are some of the best. I hope the weather in Kentucky was ok. Saw a lot of flooding around there. Be safe and have fun traveling. 👍👍
Oh wow I JUST saw and read the news, I had no idea it was so bad! I’m praying for the ppl of Kentucky and going to send donations to causes on the ground helping ppl. If anyone has suggestions as to the best organizations pls let me know!
Honestly we are extremely lucky that this park is still around today. If it wasn't for Ed Hart this would have been bulldozed long ago to make way for something new for the Kentucky State Fair
Now, this made my birthday, an upload from Super Enthused!! I loved all the places you guys have been so far and can't wait to see all the other future locations!
We were just here a few days ago. We got a great deal on Groupon. We did the water park on the first day (Friday) and it was not very crowded. We went back on Saturday to do the coasters only. The water park was SO crowded. We all had a great time though. Super friendly park and kind staff.
Yes! The one thing they need is a dark ride. I agree. I've been saying this for years. I think the waterpark side was the expansion so park entrance is the old side
This looks like a great amusement park and looks like it offers sweet rides for “kids”of all ages. Love that the waterpark is nearby so one can choose to do both. Those little car rides are always fun. I remember when we went to an Amusement Park was little and we went on one and our child was tall enough and old enough to drive. Glad that Sam was able to get out of the T3 ride. The dog show looked fun.
Kentucky Kingdom is a fun little park. They really try to give the best experience with what they have and a good way to spend day. And its not terribly expensive either. . Pleas promise me to stop by a skyline chili and get a fiveway when you are in the Ohio area. I see you are making your way to KI and I am sure CP. Can't wait for you to visit some of my favorite parks.
Wow! Kentucky Kingdom is an amazing park. I grew up in Louisville and used to be an annual pass holder. Your video brings back great memories for me. Great video!
I have heard of this park, I thought they were going to close it but glad to see someone took it over and hopefully make it work and as always- great to see you and Sam on the road and exploring new areas - Great videos !
Hey, you were in my neck of the woods! We have been by Kentucky Kingdom often when going into Louisville, but amusement parks are not my thing to do, just love to watch you and Sam enjoying it!
OMG, I really hope they called that Dog show The Dog Days of Summer. Since you said it was only in July. If they didn't, they missed a huge opportunity!
I missed you by one day. I was at Kentucky Kingdom the day before you, at the start of my coaster road trip. I have always loved this park! It's well maintained, well taken care of, incredible rides! And they never seem to get long lines in the dry park. I got 40 rides on Storm Chaser over a 2-day span on a weekend.
This looks like a fun and interesting park. The 🎠 looked pretty, I would have road that. The old car ride looks fun to. I'm not a Rollercoasters person, but I did see other rides I would ride. Maybe someday I'll be able to go vacation there. Thanks, Enjoyed. Hope y'all stay Safe and continue enjoying y'all road journey. Take Care 🧡

In this situation, I will allow it. Sam's accent sounds so formal but you are a kiddie ride. Too funny! Enjoying these videos soooo much. Safe travels.
BTW, you probably already have this planned, but Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana is fun! There are wooden coasters, water park, a cute turkey dark ride that is similar to a Buzz or Men in Black ride. Have Fun!!

This place is yet another interesting stop! I love seeing new areas to eventually explore
I'm so excited to see everywhere you visit! I really love these road trip vlogs and getting to see local theme parks.
One of the most unique parks I've seen. They could introduce Live action Frogger thru the middle 🤣
I just have to say that you and Sam are so sweet together… I’m loving your road-trip adventures!
Sam trapped on the T3 behind you 😂😂😂 bless him x
😂😂😂 as soon as they said it was going back down I got out of there so fast
