Fowler flaps, wow nice touch! i think the black looks better. man, some time and a panel pin would do wonders for that.

Excellent video Rich, love my version 1 with floats and sound system, red looks nice too, but hey, can always paint mine for different look, but this is a great flying plane no matter the color, thanks for another great video buddy👍🏼

Thanks for the comment! If it's on my channel, it's a plane you will see me flying at events & I can reccomend getting it. None of this stuff is to difficult, it just takes practice. My channel in mostly intended to pass on what I have learned and what I know so others can be sucessful:) I've been swamped at work, & will get out a flight video ASAP:)

The extra verticals on the Horizontal stabs are for lateral stability on the full scale when flown on floats or amphibs. They are meant to ad extra area to the vertical stab. They have nothing to do with stol or lift!!
Ok... more lateral stability due to the floats.
Looks like just color and clear windows is the only difference. I have version 1 and LOVE IT
FPV WITH VOL.1 WAS GREAT,BUT ON TOP OF THE PLANE WITH 180 DEG. SERVO!!! THIS BELLA UPGRADES TO COCKPIT VIEW.......MAROON!!!
Looks brilliant...I have a Mk1 the only thing I don't like is the wing spars are floppy and can catch on the ground or objects when loose ,,Would have been better if they had stronger brackets,,Wonder if they will sell just the body and wing as you could modify the Mk1 to this once it gets tired?

@@jjlanda1171 the Beaver V2 has really nice upgrades. I've installed sound systems in Beaver V1 and the Carbon Z Cub. Along with looks now they sound awesome. Also on the Cub I've got a drop system for a RC sky diver. Good luck. ✈😃💖

I don"t like red/white scheme. So, can I buy the black one V1, and still have the same flying characteristics of the V2? Thanks.
The original black version always looked non scale due to the extended nose - it appears that they finally corrected that so this version looks much more scale. Hopefully they installed real hinges on the rudder and elevator - mine were showing air right out of the box - no way they would have survived.
Fantastic unboxing Rich as always.... I see the Aileron hinges look like they may have changed?? I will have to check now, shame they never added proper hinges in the Elevator as its a weak spot on the V1 (they start to seperate after a while). Not convinced i would get rid of my V1 to get a V2-i dont care much for windows but the battery area looks good. The landing gear is 5mm ally from memory on the V1. Ive told FMS about the elevator hinges and apparently they have added it to their list of stuff to review. Would you say the "nose" is shorter than the V1?? Also FMS told me they have gone from a 70a esc to a 60a for some reason-hopefully it doesnt affect the power as the V1 is a powerhouse as you know. Keep up the good work rich👍

Hey Rich have you flown Either the Flex Ceesna 170 or The RV8? I had this beaver as well. If you like this one you must check the flex 170 and Rv8 they are truly on another level from the rest:) This does look great with the windows! And you cant beat the price on this beaver
I have not tried any of them but they look very nice.... Most of the flex stuff is either sport or semi scale.... This bottle is more on the scale side.

just so hard to make a home-built like this. getting harder and harder based on the quality and design that is now going in to these beasts of the sky. I assume EPP foam cast & poured (filled) and assembled in China, which is all good and how they are all made probably (now). Great video, great plane, subscribed.

@@RCINFORMER oh ok, thanks so much, I'll see if I can try to use EPP foam, i heard it is resistant to dents, and crushings like you see in rc planes...but perhaps you can steer me to the right foam. I'm thinking that EPO foam is the mass-produced, cheaper alternative to the EPP , the good stuff in other words... but since I am a DIY'er, i'd rather hear your opinion.

@@RCINFORMER well, thinking about it, but then i just saw "crashtesthobby" website that sells them,,, still kind of a scratch build but with certain parts to help along. they sell EPP foam kits. What's your thought on that? they seem to be pretty popular. so with shipping , it will be about 100 bucks for the Albatross 48" before Battery, Radio, servos, reciever, etc. But i have all of that stuff already.
@@harpoon_bakery162 I don't really know enough about them.... I looked at the website and they look like nice airplanes.... Generally the flying wing type airplane that they sell is just not in my area of interest.
At least it has a fake 9 cylinder radial, unlike Flyzone's 8 cylinder version!

A crap I just bought the Black Version the first one yesterday very good price didn't even know ever coming out with version 2 the red one I should have watched these videos are there I'm sure the new version will come out just over $400
The new one maybe more expensive... The black one just looks awesome I loved flying mine around....
I see they are still using foam hinges on the elevator and rudder.... super unfortunate. This is a huge issue I have with fms and have quit buying there planes after my 1700mm Corsair started loosing control surfaces mid flight. I hope they at least start using CA hinges soon as I love the looks of there new stuff!
I have had little to no problems with my FMS foam hinges... they laminate them with a rubbery coating so they are a much tougher foam hinge.
You can always add a strip of blenderm tape to the hinge lines as well for even more strength....foam hinges are not so bad they are completely sealed which is better for flight then traditional c.a hinges that leave the gaps and can cause flutter
