did this on a pine 64 with a few changes to make it work for me thank you for the info! i will say this if you used KIAUH to install klipper fluid ect..you may get an error when trying to copy the sunlu print config. its gonna tell you the file doesnt exisist at least it did for me i did some diggin and learned that it did not store the printer config on home you had to go to the printer_config folder (i belive it was ) and thats where the cfg file was .. i coppied there and it did its thing!
Amazing! Just what I was looking for. It would be nice to print a raspberry case that you can mount to the printer itself, so its a bit more stable. Also +1 to requests for bltouch video. But even without those this is awesome..
Well this could save my sunlu s8. The SD reader stopped reading sometimes. I think it's a faulty solder. So with no replacement MB now available I have high hopes. Never used Klipper to now is my chance.
@@Tandor69 So yes. I upgradeed to the Klipper, and I have my S8 back. Works faster, and better than ever. I also upgraded my build plate to the PEI flex plate. It's one of my main printers I use again.
With your tutorial I was able to successfully install Klipper on my Sunlu S8 with the stock board. I am trying to add a bltouch and I cannot figure out what sensor and control pin to input into the configuration file. I physically put the control on D11 and the sensor on Z- on the board. When I turn on the printer the probe cycles properly. I can command the probe to move down and up but when I send the query probe command it always reports as triggered. When you were scrolling through your configuration file, I took a screenshot and set mine exactly as your is. However, if I try G28 I always get failed to verify BLTouch is raised. How can I verify I have the senor in the correct pin on the board and I have the correct pin set in klipper? I also tried flipping the sensor pin with no change.
I just picked up a SunLu S8 Pro and not very familiar with them. I have performed an Auto Level and the paper catches ever so slightly between the nozzle and the bed. That said when I print the nozzle is too high up and the filament is not getting pressed into the bed to allow it to stick. While printing I click Tune and Bed Z but it does not adjust the nozzle closer/further from the bed. Any help appreciated.
Hola, excelente tutorial, de casualidad tienes el archivo de configuración para la S8 Pro? dijiste que lo publicarías pero no encuentro el link, de antemano muchas gracias por tu respuesta... te llevas el like
Can you do this with the s9+?
