This is the first Glarry review I've heard that sounds like a honest assessment of the bass. They must pay their help about 35 cents a hour to be able to manufactor these basses and sell them for $70 buck
@Whitaker's World world economics is really confusing. 2 dollars can go a long way in many countries, and 10 dollars will get you practically nothing valuable in other countries.
Constantine Isslamow thank you brother! That’s a great compliment, especially coming from a talented man like yourself. Our greatest assets as bassists are our fingers!
This was a very thorough and concise review. You just convinced me to pickup a Glarry as a beginner bass. Looking forward to learning how to play a bass guitar. Thank you. You just earned a new subscriber.
I was considering getting a beginner bass for myself for Christmas, as I’ve never actually played an instrument to a full extent before, but have been wanting to for a while. I was looking at this one on their website and it seemed reliable, but I wanted to make sure, so I checked out this video and I think it very much solidifies the chances of me getting it for myself. It was really nice hearing how it sounds and I really liked hearing it in different settings. Thanks a lot for the great review, man!
I think that glarry bass sounds really really good especially for beginners as well as the price of course but like you said sir it's upgradable definitely.
Excellent review! Very honest and informative. I normally play guitar but I'm looking for a bass just to pluck at and came across the Glarry bass but wanted to know more. You've answered all my questions. And, I'm sold! Thanks again!
Excellent review and playing. It would seem a lot of reviewers have mentioned unwanted noise with these guitars, which could be a problem for gigging guitarists, but then again getting a gig would be difficult in England anyway so noise isn’t going to be a problem until music regains it’s roots at least not here. Keep up the reviews, I enjoy them, and find them informative. Thanks
Thanks RM a great review of the Glarry 'P' Bass! $75 seems like a small price to pay for this great entry level/ backup bass. I thought the pots offered good tone adjustment for such a cheap guitar. I just picked up a Harley Benton B450 bass from Thomann for my wife to learn on. Wow, another great guitar although double the price of the Glarry. I'm getting so much out of your music, mission and reviews Rumblin Man. God bless and thanks so much!

Is that a song you're having to at 3:00 ? I LOVE that jam. I've been really torn on getting a $130 Sawtooth bass from Amazon and the $75 Glarry. No reviews for the Sawtooth, but only hearing good news about the Glarry and I just need a bass for recording as a guitar player. Thank you for a really good review that covered what I wanted perfectly!
Adam Stoffer hey bro! That was something I made up for my videos but thank you for the kind words! I haven’t played a Sawtooth, but have you thought about SX? They only cost a little more but can be really good basses for the money.
I have one of these jazz basses and most definitely performs above and beyond 100 dollars. Sounds, looks and feels like a proper bass and can be setup with pretty decent action. I think people on youtube are reluctant to say its a good bass, not just for the price, to not create unreasonable expectations but they are pretty decent instruments on their own right. 100% you can gig with this and not only would nobody notice, they would sound good.
Excellent, thorough and interesting review. To me, the bass sounds great for very little money. The drawbacks are very few. I think the suggestion the neck could be changed defeats the object of buying cheap. But I have just bought a banana yellow one on the basis of your review, just for fun.

As of Jan 2021 this P-Bass or a Jazz Bass is $85.99 US funds with free shipping in the USA. This is the lowest price for a playable bass on the market at this time. It is made in China and they are wrapped at the factory and shipped to the US distributor. They are not checked in any way by the distributor and are reshipped to clients in the US. So the quality can vary with occasional cosmetic defects or defective parts on your guitar. Basswood P basses can and do sound good. Real good. Maybe new tuners and a new bridge, or nah? What do you think bro?
Fred Gonzalez yeah dude! It makes a great platform for upgrades. A Duncan QP would be great or something more vintage-sounding. My goal is to change the pickup, neck and strings. And possibly the hardware down the road. Not bad for $75.

I keep flirting with buying a Glarry Precision. I really liked their blue body with maple neck and finger board their two wood finished Precision basses. Not an issue with money, more like will my wife tolerate a fourth bass in the house
I had one and the neck was just entirely too big, I absolutely hated it for that reason, I gave it away, if they made the same bass with a smaller neck I would have a couple of them but I can't see spending the extra money on a neck when I could just buy a better bass.
I purchased the JBass for my husband and when it arrived yesterday, it had a crack on the back up to the top of the neck. Very disappointed! Sent them an email and their response was $6 refund. Yes, I am very upper, it was a birthday gift for my husband.
That thick chunky neck is a big part of why this bass sounds as good as it does. As with guitars, the thicker the neck the deeper the resonance and more sustain you get out of the guitar.
Jake T 🤣 have you played a Glarry bass for yourself? The neck on this bass is much thicker than any Fender neck, or any bass neck I’ve ever tried. Also, the body is a very light laminate basswood. If this bass does sound good, it’s not the wood that’s complimenting the tone.
Growly, crunchy, punchy, gritty, crungy, meaty or beefy, sweet, salty, juicy, grinding, raspy. Sounds are divided in high/mid / bass . Why all those words?

There’s nothing resonant about this body.
I bought one of these for my gf for Xmas, she wants to learn how to play so I figured get her a cheap bass to play around with til she gives up 😂 but I'm honestly surprised with the quality of this guitar for the price point.
Fight Riffs absolutely!
Sound good to have a basswood body.
Glary Music is located in NJ
Riot Christian Metal right. Do you really think the basses are built there?
Rumblin Man could be cool z it doesn’t say product of China or anything else on the label so yea
Riot Christian Metal I find it very doubtful that a US made bass would go for this price.
@@RumblinMan never can tell
Riot Christian Metal quality of build and parts is a great indicator.
Maaan, that bass SOUNDS great!!!
Who cares about looks or prices? Not me.
I care about SOUND ONLY!
Simple as that.
Fred Gonzalez awesome, dude! Thanks for the feedback! Yeah man, honestly, doesn’t sound bad at all. The Downtown Express pedal definitely helps too.
@@RumblinMan Haha, heck yeah!
Just put in a nice lil' Seymour Duncan or Nordstrand P pickup, good strings, nut replacement (probably Tusq) good pots..and she'd probably be ready to impress!!!
@@RumblinMan Man, thanks dude. I'm gonna get one of those too! And make upgrades as well. I need to add that 'sound' into my arsenal.
Just listen to Michael Jackson's biggest hits..Beat it for example..
You can tell that song was recorded with a P bass!
P bass all day y'all!!!
Wuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!
Fred Gonzalez I totally agree man! No bass sits in a mix like a Precision does. Hope you enjoy it bro! It’s a sound we all should have for sure!!
Unfortunately my first two frets are just a buzz no musical sound .
😭
good job inb bass :)
I keep flirting with buying a Glarry Precision. I really liked their blue body with maple neck and finger board their two wood finished Precision basses. Not an issue with money, more like will my wife tolerate a fourth bass in the house
Frank what the hell,,,ceiling!
Good review!
Btw great review but Glarry is now charging 89 dollars for this exact bass now from their website . None the less good investment i.m.h.o
Bass wood is pronounced like the fish. Note like base,,, but bass like I caught a bass fishing today!
Paddy O'Driscoll I like saying it the other way.
I had one and the neck was just entirely too big, I absolutely hated it for that reason, I gave it away, if they made the same bass with a smaller neck I would have a couple of them but I can't see spending the extra money on a neck when I could just buy a better bass.
Might as well!
Your sound is in the P-bass range but not quite like my vintage American.
Richard Mccain I’m working on making it better!
dam thats a slicy riffff
Thanks so much!
First you say you were impressed with the cheap pickups, they you talk about replacing them.
TheGus K notice my wording. I was impressed with the quality considering the price. But of course I’m gonna replace it. It’s a super cheap pickup.
I purchased the JBass for my husband and when it arrived yesterday, it had a crack on the back up to the top of the neck. Very disappointed! Sent them an email and their response was $6 refund. Yes, I am very upper, it was a birthday gift for my husband.
I’m really sorry to hear about this customer service fail. What a bummer.
I used maybe ONE of those words in this video, if even that.
Wondering if Glarry employees are paid or are detained workers.
I wonder a lot of things about the company itself. I don't know much about them.
