I bought a USP 10 years ago....liked it so much I bought a second.
I own the HKUSP 45 and the FNX 45. Both are great guns but I will always choose the HK over the FN. Yeah the FN is a little more up-to-date with the optic cut and the Universal rail but these are both not Guns I would choose to put optics on or lights on.
I have owned the HK for over 20 years and have well over 10,000 rounds through it without one single hiccup.
The HK is the ultimate combat handgun and would be the first gun I grab if the shit hit the fan

Dude I have both of those guns and I love them. I don't think I've ever seen a video on UA-cam that goes into details as you did without firing the gun. Good stuff bro
Nice balanced review. For me, H&K all day long, I have 4 of them. The FNH is a tad too thick for me, but that is a preference issue, you can't really go wrong with either. Let the handshake to the weapon be your guide. And above all.....range time..
Never had a gun as reliable as my USP45. Had the FNX as well and was a NIGHTMARE to work on. Have fun detail stripping that after 5k rounds.

The HK USP 45 is a BEAST! I love mine! I pair it with either the USP Compact .45 or the USP Compact 9mm when I travel.
Hahaha Nothing wrong with Fabrique Nationale guns BUT i will take my USP 45 with its ordinance grade barrel and its funky trigger. I got about 8000rds through mine with 1 FTE so far. Its a tank and if I had to step into battle its coming with me.
I have small hands and I couldn't reach the trigger on the HK USP. I'd tried it on single action and it is still a reach. Deal breaker. I can just reach the FN trigger in DA mode but pretty comfortably in SA mode. So I went with the FNX. Both FN and HK are top manufacturers known for making dependable and durable pistols that work in the worst conditions. No worries about that.
I love mines both, but the fnx out the box has a better trigger. the HK was ahead of it time when they came out and still sexy asf...
I have the HK USP 45. The factory HK USP 45 Tactical barrel works in it, since it's basically the same gun. It shoots great suppressed, albeit not exactly Hollywood quiet. The only advantage of the FNX is a little better magazine capacity, but a lot more money. I would go with the HK.

I've never shot a USP, but I love my VP9 and my HK45. I'll have to try that one.
With you 100%. H&k is far more reliable but the FNX shoots better

I'm a old school 1911A1 guy. With that said, 1:51 my new EDC concealed is the FN X 45 Tactical.
How are you concealing a 45 tactical? Are you 300 lbs and 7 feet tall?

@@Devin7Eleven i used to carry the fnx 45 tactical too via appendex carry position. It is impossible without printing in tshirt due to how thick the base plate is. If it wasnt for that, i would still be carrying it. I was 5'10 140 pounds.
Good comparison, however I am sticking with my 1911 pistols.

You can shoot 45 super in a stock USP . The HK is the stronger design . There is more metal in the usp frame that is under the polymer .
Can you shoot 460 rowland in a usp, usp tactical or mark 23?
@@ryaniam22 You can’t shoot 460 Rowland in anything that hasn’t been modified to shoot it. The case is longer to prevent it being shot in 45acp guns as it would be catastrophic. I believe there are people out there that will offer a custom barrel and muzzle device along with recoil springs to shoot it out of a USP45. Honestly from what I’ve seen reliability is a big issue with 460 Rowland and therefore not practical when you can get a 10mm or even 45Super. Both are plenty of power for the majority of people. Alaskans should probably just carry a 12g shotgun lol.
@@Berserkablewhat do you mean by reliability - I thought as long as the gun was made for 460 Rowland everything was fine - on their site I saw they had problems with double stack mags - is there something else I didn't hear about cuz I was thinking to "pull the trigger" on 1 myself - but if it's not a good war weapon I'm no longer interested
@@Berserkable OK I see. Yes if there are any reliability problems it might as well die. I hate that shit. It does seem very impractical. I do however like 10mm power out of a g20 or the 7.5 fk brno which is sick and on another level (closer to 460 rowland but in an ultra reliable package). But a mark 23 in 460 rowland is pretty cool if they can make it reliable.
Pretty sure most guys in bear country should carry a 454 cassull and call it a day. Shot a friends the other day. They are fuckin slinging heavy lead at nearly 2000fps. And the revolver wasn't that heavy or huge either. Had a port to prevent muzzle rise. Was actually easier to shoot than his steel 1911 with 45 acp +p by a lot.

Powder coated lead bullets work fine.

If I’m not mistaken, both the FNX and the HKUSP 45 both have cold hammer forged barrels
But only the HK is polygonal barrel...the FN...standard
Their barrel steel is provided by a French company, Aubert & Duval. It's a proprietary product that is famous for its durability. As to the location of where it comes from out of the ground, I suspect that is under wraps. Most rifling is still intact 200,000+ rounds.
Thats the HK. Not sure where FN sources there steel.

SIG p227 elite tac. Own the HK and the FN. The SIG performance is better. The standard p227 not equal to the elite tac.

USPs are so ugly IMO. FN is just as good if not better, and has a much better aesthetic.
Dreaming....FN is not "just as good as HK or better" wrong!!! FN is good but saying its better than HK is a very bold statement
