Keeper Chat: Pronghorn -- Born To Run

The pronghorn was born to run. Behind the African cheetah, the pronghorn is the second-fastest land animal in the world and can reach speeds as high as 60 miles per hour and can even maintain the speed of up to 55 miles per hour at up to half a mile. In addition to great speed, the pronghorn’s endurance to run far exceeds any predator today and when they get the zoomies here at Minnesota Zoo, they can last for quite a while!
