It is a lesson for for all political leaders, what happens when they give priority to their personal gains than that for their country men.

      The Saudi-funded spread of Wahhabism began as a result of Western countries asking Riyadh to help counter the Soviet Union during the Cold War, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told the Washington Post.
      Speaking to the paper, bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia's Western allies urged the country to invest in mosques and madrassas overseas during the Cold War, in an effort to prevent encroachment in Muslim countries by the Soviet Union.
      He added that successive Saudi governments had lost track of that effort, saying "we have to get it all back." Bin Salman also said that funding now comes mostly from Saudi-based "foundations," rather than from the government.
      The crown prince’s 75-minute interviewwith the Washington Post took place on March 22.
      "Asked about the Saudi-funded spread of Wahhabism, the austere faith that is dominant in the kingdom and that some have accused of being a source of global terrorism, Mohammed said that investments in mosques and madrassas overseas were rooted in the Cold War, when allies asked Saudi Arabia to use its resources to prevent inroads in Muslim countries by the Soviet Union."
      Successive Saudi governments lost track of the effort, he said, and now “we have to get it all back.” Funding now comes largely from Saudi-based “foundations,” he said, rather than from the government.

      Actually there is a war backed by the US, NATO and their Wahhabi puppets using Wahhabi terrorists against Yemen currently raging on.
      ISIS and al-Qaeda, according to BBC, CNN, AP and other media outlets, are used by the US and it's allies against Yemenis just like the case in Syria where they are armed and called moderate rebels and against the Soviets in Afghanistan before.

      www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-35630194
      All this to reinstall an ousted puppet regime in a war that has killed more than 400,000 Yemenis directly and many more due to malnutrition/famine, epidemics, blocking Sana'a Int'l Airport that was the lifeline for medical treatment abroad and according to the Norwegian Refugee Council more than 86,000 patients in dire need of medical treatment die a year. This caused the worst humanitarian crisis since WWII, according to the UN, as 22 million Yemenis are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance due to the incessant bombing and sea, air and land blockade and the epidemics that the bombings and blockade caused.

    Most honest video that talks about Yemen, but I think you made some mistakes; you showed on the map that al-Qaeeda is controlling the south eastern part of the country which is not 100% accurate, and you didn't show that the most part of southern yemen is controlled by The Southern Transitional Council, but also hadi is controlling the same places at the same time, it's a bit complicated, that's why a lot of yemenis don't know what's happening.

      @@richardwestwood8212 Bro, words are easier than action, the Yemenis have been divided for a long time and it is very difficult to unite them, the southerners hate the north and the northerners with the same, and Saudi Arabia basically has not entered Yemen, it is only providing support based on international law to the Yemeni legitimate government, the Yemen issue is very complex and the Yemeni people are disjointed. Extremely, the Houthis are not serious about peace. They have become the same danger of Al Qaeda and ISIS. If Saudi Arabia did not intervene, Yemen would become hell and the world would return to the world to revive the 9/11 disaster. Saudi Arabia’s intervention in Yemen was to stop the terrorists ’influence on the world. Just imagine if the Houthis succeeded in Controlling Yemen and the Bab al-Mandab strait, how would you expect the ability of a terrorist group like the Houthis to control the world economy?
      At that time, do not ask Saudi Arabia to intervene because you will re-accuse it of being responsible for everything, taking into account the loss of your job due to a terrorist group.

      @JackBlackNinja 4 роки тому +4

      @@nobelmanaye38 I mean, communism is usually very democratic and most communist states have been organized into republic via elected officials. But just like our 'democracy' in America is way less democratic than say, Germany's democracy, many 'communist' regimes have historically not been very communist and in each state in the present world you have a mix capitalism and socialism. Most communist states are pretty democratic (at least by their constitution); many just go full fascist and give the whole system a bad name, but for what it's worth, fascism and corruption has happened more often with capitalist states (and led to the idea of communism to avoid such corruption, where communist states have tended to be destroyed by opponents before they went full fascist. Obviously there are people like Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot but the list of capitalist dictators is much longer.

    • @Loomr
      @Loomr 4 роки тому

      You shouldn't be confused, as democracy is a form of collectivism as soon as the state begins to tax people over reasonable limits of arranging defense and infrastructure. If the total tax is set to 100% you are in a communist country, since all money goes through the state, and all jobs and companies are public. A total tax of 50% of all production , like in France, is thus a 50% command economy. This is why the US party siding with socialism calls itself the Democrats, and this is why socialists in Europe often call themselves social democrats - they were socialists/communists in the beginning of the 1900s. Calling it a democracy is a way for the communists to legitimize their rule.

    Hey I am from Yemen in Aden to be exact, what are your sources on AQAP territory? because I don't think it is accurate, AQAP doesn't have that much of territory currently, in fact they had a real territory grip back in 2011 to 2012 when they took-over Abyen governorate. Since then they didn't control a large territory but worked in small groups and tried to keep a low profile, until December 2015 when they took two major cities in Abyan then to be driven out of them again by government forces backed by Arab coalition.
    Now the presence of AQAP members on those territories highlighted in the video might be high but not on the sense of a real control of the territory, they are defiantly keeping a low profile and waiting for another chance to take-over.

Considering I too descend from Yemini heritage I am very dissapointed in you for not defending our country. Especially considering you love it so much but have never lived there. Your comment is pathetic by the way. You are very ungrateful.

It’s not my job to ‘defend my country’, I had interpreted that comment to be a more ‘you should go back, you deserve to see your home country’ rather than a racist remark. Either way, you clearly have some sort of self hatred towards your apparent Yemeni heritage if you’re so hassled over my saying i’m a British Yemeni.

      it has to do with the former name of South Yemen , which is South Arabia , so after the independence from UK in 1967 the new pro Yemen government changed the name into South Yemen in the hope of an unification with Yemen. the collapse of soviet union was not the reason of the unification but a trigger to escalate the process, which had begun directly after the independence 1967

      Yep. Unity failed miserably since 1993. To be honest it was a fake unity from the start. The South Yemeni leadership with their kind and honest heart assumed the Northerners had good intentions, but, later on, they realised they were conned.
      They tried to reconciliate between the 2 sides and this failed as well.
