- A Ukrainian family of six reunites with relatives in the U.S. after fleeing the Russian invasion. The family is some of the first Ukrainians to be resettled in America through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program.

I must be missing something...He applied for refugee status in 2017. He wanted to run before the war started. Educated, both have good jobs (granted, before this February), but he clearly wanted to run in 2017 to USA without any decent knowledge of English. I am glad they are safe, but I certainly have questions.

The war starts on a day no different than 9/11. Where this entire country has its turned to WW3. Don't say it couldn't happen either. Many thought as scripted as 9/11 was that it couldn't happen. It was only something you would see in movie. Let's say the attacks are Nuclear. The west coast get bombarded by Nuclear Missles. Mass Casualties.
The aftermath is broadcasted on the news and it's horrific.

I claim to be the greatest economist of all time because i have discovered the nature of money that would provoke the gold and cryptocurrencies market crash. If you buy put options on gold and with your influence make my theory on money known you would become rich. Being everything else the same imagine a country with a baker, a fishmonger and a singer with no gold and another with a baker, a fishmonger and a guard to protect gold inside a vault. Which one lives better? Which one is wealthier? The country with no gold is wealthier because the baker and fishmonger get entertained by the singer for their money but the country with gold have to work to pay the guard to protect a mineral that offers no wellbeing or wealth because is useless inside a vault. An analogy would be an innocent kid after saving his pocket money buys a bicycle and his father tells him that he can store the bicycle in a garage unused to sell it in the future, but the rent would cost him some of his pocket money or he can use and enjoy the bicycle. Which option would the kid choose? There is not benefit in buying to sell because no value is added. Do you understand? Gold becomes wealth when is used, sparing the cost of protection. Because gold is increasingly more expensive to dig out as there is less underground and is increasingly cheaper as there is more on offer overground there would be a point when nobody would be mining the mineral. How much cost the taxpayers to protect gold? Cryptocurrencies are a number but money is transferable debt, a promise to give value for value, a number and a name. Who would sell last, capitalist or communist? Exchanging gold for goods and services is barter and everything useful is a store of value. Humanity is throwing fortunes to the rubbish bin, buying, selling, moving gold stupidly from one vault to another paying the cost of transportation, storage and protection of a mineral valuable for its usefulness in jewellery and manufacturing because don’t understand money and pays for scarcity instead of usefulness. Would an innocent kid exchange what £46,891 can buy for 1 kilo of gold? (price on 19/3/2022). Would you exchange what gold can buy for gold? The gold market is a bubble about to burst. An innocent kid understands because sees gold for what it really is, a mineral that does not satisfy any essential needs and is not particularly beautiful, and he doesn’t care if it is rare. And wants to understand because he is not averted to say “you are right”, that also means “i am wrong” because he is honest and has an open mind. If i point out humanity is squandering fortunes protecting gold no mind is stirred or news media interested, the solution to the problem is silenced, but if the gas bill increases an insignificant amount indignation and protests arise and spread to first page news. Gold mining and the destruction of the environment would end when the gold market crashes, that could bankrupt Russia ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
