So it takes alot of courage for a grown man to run from his own countries war draft........ You do know in world war 2 the United States drafted 40 yr old men to the fight in Europe ..... Maybe you or your own friends and family will be drafted to fight in his place. And why do Americans always have to take out the trash when Europe starts a war

I pray that the host family doesnt push Mormonism on this family. They are Orthodox Christians, and I am so afraid that this family only brought these refugees here in order to push Mormonism on them.
I know how Mormons operate, I wish they would respect people and would stop preying on people who are fleeing war.

A lot of people don't try to run until it's too late. This couple was smart enough to realize that it was time to run, even though that meant giving up everything, including their home, cars, business, that they had worked so hard for. This takes a lot of courage and determination. I am glad for them, and I welcome this family to the United States.

Well, how about defending democracy from Putin's orcs in Ukraine? This Ukrainian men supposed to fight Putin at home, but nevertheless, he wants to get to the USA to live on my taxes, well, selling our weapons to Ukraine is totally fine, in fact, it's great, it helps our economy, but spending our resources for charity when our economy is not in the best shape is a bad idea. The US has invested a lot in Ukrainian democracy, a lot of my tax money, so it would only be fair to get some return on our investment, selling arms, exhausting Russia is the return we expect, but this dude, instead of repaying back by his heroic fight with Putin, he's trying to sneak into the US to live on my taxes!!?

@Martin Garcia until it’s too late is a perfect statement. Of course no one wants to leave in these circumstances BUT stay and potentially die or leave? That’s what too late is!
They said a missile already was close to their home. What if the next one hits their home? What if they close down boarders like they did in Afghanistan? There are so many things that can go wrong if they were to stay! I feel like you didn’t really think about it before you commented!

When making comments please don’t forget that people have underlying and hidden disabilities (such as myself) and we are not entitled to that information (nor should we). Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for your kindness to this family. They did not choose this. They were a hard working family with so much in their future. When it comes to refugees or asylum seekers I am all for helping people just like this family. When they can show they have the desire to care for themselves and their family as they were prior to being invaded then they deserve the opportunity for a new life in a new country. I do not agree with just letting in people that have multiple children that have never supported themselves and have always had their hand out. While continuing to have child after child it makes no sense to me why they should be just allowed to come into the country and immediately become a burden on the taxpayers. While sitting back in a property that is being paid for by the taxpayers. Not able to work because they have no work experience. Can't speak English. Do not want to even try to be useful.. Nope. You and your 6+ children and wife or wives can figure it out on your own. Just like I had to as a broke single mother at 17. No one gave me a hand out. No welfare or unemployment for me. I worked for everything I own. Sometimes 70-80 hours a week. 2 jobs to make it happen. No child support. Just daycare and a babysitter. It was hard but it was the only way I would ever be successful. If you want to seek asylum or refugee status you should be ready and willing to support yourself and your family. No matter what the job is you have to take it until you find something better.
