- Hideo Kojima came to The Game Awards 2023 to announce OD, a new title from Kojima Productions. With OD, Hideo Kojima is attempting to make a new form of media merging game and movie. As Hideo Kojima revealed, Jordan Peele was also revealed to be collaborating on OD.

Because I've heard him speak English within the past few years. And it was like a 4 year old. He knows very little English, which makes it very hard for him to pickup on what people are saying. Sure, he can hear words such as "Kojima good", and be like "Awesome, yeah I know what he's talking about". His last speech in English summerized was "I... love... you guy.. Make good game! HIM... Awesome guy!"

Did anyone notice the thing he walked out of was a proper box and PT was exactly the same when u started the game you’d be in the same exact model room with walls around u and the box is the exact same size so my mind is just wanting this gameplay trailer to be out so bad in the PlayStation state of play some point at the end of the year.

Jordan peele is one of the worst overhyped directors of our time hence he has also produced some of the biggest steaming pile of tur.ds of our time such as US and candy man which have scores on imdb to match. Hideo did a big mistake. Peele is a victim of his own hype. I haven't seen worse films in my lifetime and US is up there with one of the worse contrived movies of all time.

I will say as a PlayStation fan, it's sad that it's not going to be on PS5, but it's cool seeing Kojima and Peele collaborate, and I hope it is amazing. Jordan Peele is an incredible filmmaker, and I'm really excited to see how it will be.
I have an Xbox. Honestly wish it was on PS5 and you had to use the camera to repeat the same phrase the characters said at certain checkpoints or something. Hideo keeps saying next level immersion in his titles but I never quite see it. Could really do some crazy stuff with PSVR2 and the AR mechanics but I guess no one wants to see a monster or doppelgänger hanging out on their couch or looking in the mirror back at them 🤷♂️
As a PlayStation fan I'm happy and grateful that Xbox has a service like Gamepass and Xcloud that will allow me and a lot of people to play and enjoy this new Kojima game.
because just grabbing an xbox is oh so hard - you ps fans recommend your console for the games, so take your own advice and stop being fanatics.
It's going to come onto PC eventually, seeing how it's on xbox.

The door from P.T. and the track from Nine Inch Nails - Came Back Haunted really hits different since P.T. was basically a "Haunted house game". I think Kojima choose this song for a reason that he's come back to make another "run" at horror (Haunted themed) game and that it will maybe inspired by P.T. At least i think.... Dude is a walking easter egg) Really looking forward to OD. By the way Hesitation marks truly underrated give it a try!

Konami only has the brand and the engine that they left abandoned kojima engine that they only used it in PES 2018, from there possibly kojima wants to revive that abandoned demo to give it a touch more of him besides simply silent hill.

If you think about it, he’s a game dev from Japan, recognized by multiple high level Hollywood directors for his Video Games. First off, how many ppl can name a Japanese film director or game dev? Then ask yourself how often Hollywood even cares about games outside of trying to make it a movie? Hideo is on another level.

You can see in the reflections on their eyes some of the room the characters are in and a dark figure opening a door with white light behind it. Then Kojima refers to it with his entrance to the stage.

Siren and LA Noire were years ahead at making realistic faces. I think we've finally made it past uncanny valley and 3D faces can finally look realistic and human.
@EmergencyChannel you would assume. I think certain gaming companies using different game engines probably doesn't help lol. But it would be nice for everything to be photo realistic unless it's not the design they're going for.
Are we even sure those are 3D models and not actual actors? Didn’t Kojima say this was a mix between video game and movie using cloud streaming services? I can see those being real actors.
It’s very possible they’re 3D models, we’ve seen crazy stuff recently… but this isn’t going to be a “game” in the traditional sense. I’m worried it’s going to be more of a streaming event
@@maninblack3410the lighting is really weird but accurate so I doubt it’s edited in CGI. Also, there’s no reflection in their eyes of the camera(which could be cgi editing but it looks way to good). Also, they say show are using meta humans in the game, so it’s almost definitely a 3d model.

I could be wrong, you could have an actual game with a character you control using an actual controller… but the more they talked about it the more it feels like an experiment and not a *game*
