      The forest looks nice. Surely you can't get lost if you use the morning sun for direction. With the lake, you'll have a strong smell of water too for direction. :)

    Hello im planning to japan on june. And interesting to that cherry wine in your video. 😊 . Such a nice video . Anyway if we buy the wine and bring it back to my country , will it be okay? Or should i buy wine from the airport maybe has duty free shop for wine?

  • @colintownsend

    I love red wine. I didn't think that Japan had red wine! This is something a wine lover like myself would be interested in visiting on a trip to your lovely county.
    I know that you are a foodie but perhaps an in-depth review of Japanese wines to go with Japanese dishes would be a very interesting video?
    Especially for the more western viewer. Don't get me wrong, I want to know what Japanese drinks (Sake, Beer, Mugi Shochu, Japanese whiskey etc) go with your amazing amount of dishes but being given what type of Japanese dishes go with wine would really help me understand, from a western viewpoint, what those dishes are like. Ohhh...Foodie Sarah does intros to "Sake and other drinks to accompany your Japanese meal"...."Japanese Beers to accompany you street stall food!!".
    What ever you decide I still love the "Girl next door" viewpoint you give to all your videos. Thank you as always for the video!

    • @TokyoFoodieSarah

      Thank you for that! Actually pairing wine with Japanese food has become popular in the past few years, so that sounds like a great idea! I'll look into it!

    The ice cave looks soooo interesting and nothing I've ever seen before. Sarah, may I know if it is easily accessible without having to join any form of tour? we are travelling to Japan (from Singapore) in mid-dec and plan to rent a car...

    • @TokyoFoodieSarah
      @TokyoFoodieSarah  Рік тому

      Apologies for the late reply! Yes, it’s not difficult at all even if you’re not on a tour. You can just purchase your ticket at the entrance! However there was a bit of queue (like 20 mins) when I went, so the queue may be longer now that the Japanese borders are open.

    True story: We were driving back from Fujisama, and our friend Sugiama-sama pulls the car over, says Daniel-san (me)! CHOOOTOOO mite kudasai and then RUNS INTO THE FOREST.....that looked exactly like *that*....any who, I jump out, follow him (I'm a boy scout so no problem!)
    I finally find him - couched down behind a giant rock - and I'm think ink he's going to kill me or something, but he's just looking for mushrooms! lol So funny.

Another great video Arigato gozaimasu

    You should do a story about why Fujisan is barren, but Mount Tsukubai is full of life..have you heard that one? Basically, a god came to visit and asked Fuji for a place to rest; Fuji refused, so the god cursed Fuji for all time to be dead.
    The god asked Tsukuba, and which split into a hammock-shaped mountain to be extra comfortable! ..so the god blessed Tsukuba with trees, rives, wildlife, for all time.
