- Hey Guys,
I have been using the Fitbit Sense 2 for 3 weeks now and as a long term Fitbit Sense 1 owner and user, I was a little confused by what Google was doing with Fitbit. But I explain why it is a good watch for andriod and apple users but under certain conditions.

Getting rid of the 3rd party apps is the best thing Fitbit has done for the past 4-5 years. They were poorly implemented and caused several connection sync issues with the phone. Pandora and Deezer only worked with premium accounts, while Spotify was only used to control the music on your phone, nothing more. Also, adding Google Wallet and Google Maps is more than counterbalancing the loss of the app store. My Versa4 is the 1st Fitbit I've owned (previously, I had Versa2 and the Ionic) that is fluid and has zero connection problems. If you want a full spec Smartwatch get the Google Watch (and with that a one-day battery) or a Premium Fitness tracker that offers the basic functionality of a Smartwatch and still has 6 days battery get the Sense2 or Versa4.
I love my Fitbit sense 2
I got sense 2 couple of days ago and so far I love this thing, its simple and less distracting. I also noticed they have google wallet and google maps now coz you didn't mention them in the video.
Enjoyed the video and some great points raised.
How bright is the always on display?
I have a feeling the apps won't be coming to the Sense 2.... Did they announce it will have apps in the future? I don't understand the point of them removing it. I'm moving from my Ionic and definitively going to get the Sense 1.... Only thing that would have made Sense 1 perfect was if it had on board music storage like the Ionic had!.... Cheers from Canada :)
Hi! Google hasn't announced apps yet except to says apps are coming. They made the changes to the os so fast without allowing app developers time to port over... That and I assume they wanted Google assistant to be only on the Google watch for a few months exclusively vs the sense 2. Because of the sense 2 had apps/asst on day one, almost no point in getting the Google watch with its 1 day of battery life. Love the ionic! And sense 1 right now, I'm seeing it for 150 or less. That's amazing value.
I'm going to stick with my Sense 1. The Sense 2 is seriously lacking many key features and doesn't seem like an upgrade.
Solid choice!
So I’ve had my second Fitbit sense since February 2023 and now the battery life has started to stop holding a charge and I’ve used it every day and now I’ve bought my second sense I also read the reviews on the sense too and to me it’s pointless to buy it because it doesn’t have the stuff the sense one has I like to use my sense for music notifications And that’s it but the sense too doesn’t have that option
I'm hoping to get the sense 2 for Christmas 🙂
It’s a good watch!!
So should I get the sense 1?
The Sense 1is now a legacy product, it will not receive any new feature or much software update. I had one for 2 years and was mostly satisfy with it but would not recommend buying one now. The Sense 2 is major software downgrade, that product should never have come up. I got one and regret it. The significant 33% discount available on the Sense 2 after such a short time on the market is an indication that it might not be supported for long either. I would recommend looking elsewhere, the Garmin Venu Sq2 being an alternative if you are into fitness.
Take a shot everytime he blinks
