Another great video, that's one heck of a magpie population. I wish I had a £1 for every time I chuntered: "just shoot the dam magpie" 🤣 closely followed by: "you watch, click, again ! " 🤣
When they were all in a group I was thinking ‘I’d love to put a couple of Skeet cartridges into them’ 😂. Using your metal decoy stands with a dead Magpie is fast becoming my favourite type of decoying, I just love knocking them over. 👍🏼🏴
I'm just wondering if the skeet cartridges would still have enough power as the birds were 40 yards away they certainly would have a nice spread at that range.
Nitro HV My eyes nearly popped out when i saw all those Magpies, so I was only thinking of the spread for the numbers, I didn’t think about the range😂 You did a grand job with the rimfire anyway👍🏼🏴
The ruger 1022 needs the spring changed inside to allow for the lower recoil of a sub sonic round. Cool thing is the spring is under 10$ to allow the steady use of these lower power rounds. A coon Hunter that hunts with my pap had it done to his 1022 and it now works perfectly with them. Hope that helps.
Thanks sounds like good advise and a new firing pin might be a good idea too but i'll have to order it through an RFD as i don't think i can order gun parts through the post here in N'Ireland.
I've used the winchester subs for a long time too but i recently started using the CCi subs to see if the rifle will run better with them but to be honest i think if i'd keep the gun and magazine cleaner there would be less of a problem.
I really enjoy your videos and commentary, but it’s sometimes like bird watching and for that God forbid, I can watch Chris Packham, as you really need to learn shoot faster and thus bag more and the other equally important recommendation, is to get a CZ bolt action or similar and you will eliminate these irritating misfires. So please let’s have more of the same but a bit more action
I'd love to get a good bolt action but i would shoot the odd mini rifle competition so need a semi for that but maybe some day i'll see if i can get a bolt action on my FAC for vermin control and retire the 10-22 to club use only.
Why do you value a Hoodie so much more than a Magpie? They are just as destructive as each other in reality. Blitz them all! Edit, don't worry about the moaning mini's, your commentary is better than Jake Humphreys, you could shoot a bit quicker and edit out the long waits xx
The hooded crows are really what the farmers are asking me to control as they are bigger and stronger than the magpies and more dangerous to the sheep and lambs so that's why i target them first plus i have seen the crows sit and watch the magpies feed first from a save distance just to make sure there is no danger so if i shoot the magpies first the crows will know i am there and never land.
Had to get my wife to help me with some of those big words, i know that my style of doing things isn't to everyone's liking but that's OK each to their own and all that but thank you very much as its the nicest way anyone has used to tell me that i'm too slow or take too long for the shot.
what a gaggle of Maggie's,and them buzzards were beautiful, good shooting my friend 😁👍
Thanks very much.

Thanks very much and some day i'm just going to take the hump and trade the 10-22 in for a bolt gun.
Great session,
Plenty of Magpies in the bag
I second this comment neibur
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice shooting David!! Thanks for posting your videos for us to enjoy 😊.

Really enjoyed it David, it might be old but its great footage, very enjoyable, Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video,
I would have went for that double when you had the chance 😂
Stay well and stay safe.
Ash 🏴
Yeah that would have been cool on camera, done it once with the air rifle and again with the .222 but never with the rim fire that i can remember.
Thanks Dave for another outstanding video. Truely enjoyed it.👍
Thanks glad you enjoyed it.
Nice work David. Look forward to the next one. :-)
Many thanks!
Brilliant shooting mate, one of my favorite ch

Superb video. Really enjoyed that!
Thanks again hay.
I always use Winchester subs, never had a problem with them loading in my mags and any thing you hit stays down.

Come on David way to slow at a shot get tin of red bull into yea speed you up some 😂😂😂😂👍but great video footage lovely to see them taken out .
Ahh not a bad idea that with a tin of red bull i could fly off after them, air to air combat.
Please say that you spent some time and knocked the magpie numbers back
The farmer has been running a larsen trap for a number of year now so there aren't as many magpies there now.
Seriously need a Larsen trap on that permission #lostcount
The farmer has been running one now for a few years and there are very few magpies about now.
A sparrowhawk killed a pigeon in my garden this week, in bangor.
I saw one at work kill a dove right outside the tea hut door.
Awesome brilliant shooting. Keep shooting more than talking. 😊
Thanks glad you enjoyed it.

👏👏 muy buenos disparos 🇦🇷👍👍
Thank you very much.
Good video 👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
nice day of bird watching
Yes it was with just a little bit of shooting to keep it interesting.

Trigger fell off, eh?
No trigger finger.
I'm sorry, but too much procrastinating is not good for my anxiety issues, so I won't be subscribing mate. Good shooting though.
