- As a way of jumping back into my youtube journey I thought talking about Discipline and creativity was a good place to start. Everything I say in this video is in no way absolute truth. It is simply me expressing my own thoughts and feelings around the topics of discipline and creativity and how the two coincide in respect to myself. I believe there's a time and a place for discipline in relation to creativity and I go further in depth about the topic in this video.

“Creating enough to stay relevant”. That one hit home. It’s what I hate most about social media. It’s not about making something worth sharing, it’s about making something so we’re not forgotten. Sad reality for creators. Nice video btw 👍🏼

Easy way which always works for me is drop the phone, grab a book. It’s simple. Time to make that trip to the library:)

I agree. I opened a book yesterday. Been a while since I done so.
I once read: "creativity is the opposite of productivity." I really think about it that way. If you focus on the final product (productivity), you will focus on the outcome rather than the process. With creativity you want to get distracted, and let your mind wander into the unkown.

What helped me was to update my Instagram less frequently. I started enjoying photography again.
My problem is I don't post enough 🤣 but I'm also looking for more than 24 hours of comments and likes!

Damn, I got emotional by the end of the video, I'm glad I'm not alone in this feeling of creating every single day or I'll be seen as lazy or an unproductive artist, still... “Grind”, “Discipline” and “Relevance” mean nothing; they’re just words that social media tries to shove in our faces by self-help influencers who wouldn’t know the creative process if it whacked them upside the head. I create for the love and joy of it. I don’t have time to “prove” myself. Thanks for sharing such an enlightening video!
