    Thank you and Sultan Pasha for this masterpiece of art. 🙏 I feel like this is both a time traveling experience to the most luxurious fine fragrances of the past and a complete joy to experience in the present. The softness, richness, complexity, warmth, and resinous aspects are so unique. I think of wearing the most luxurious fur coat, or even the actual soft night air in tropical places, how the air itself can have soft, humid texture as I walk home at night with my dearest husband after dinner. Such a feeling of beauty & love. Thank you for this creation! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏

      Mr. Adam, I find sometimes with small artisanal perfumers (who I respect & want to support) that their work is perhaps too dense or closed (for me, though I am still learning). I find your fragrances perfectly open (yet not diminished nor too diluted in any way - the balance is perfect). If I may ask a question (I know you are busy & no worries if you cannot respond), is it ok to dilute some of these fragrances with perfumer’s oil to get them to open up or is that a very bad idea & disrespectful? (Again, I’m not talking AT ALL about Areej, just some other small perfumers that I like, but find the fragrances rather dense & closed). Is there another way to open them up? Thank you so much! 🙏🙏👏

      @@RachelKNg welcome! Happy to hear you like Civet de Nuit.
      Regarding the "closed" compositions it really can be because of many factors. Therefore there is no an easy way to open them up. Sometimes our noses need time to adjust to certain accords or ingredients. Sometimes it is a lack of space between the notes. Concentration possibly. If it is the latter yes you can try diluting it with perfumers alcohol. Do it first in a tiny 2-5ml vial. See how it grows. It may take few weeks to settle. Then it may opens up. Then you can diluted all the amount safely.

    I love your presentation and voice of thought. You know what you are doing and have the confidence to try new things.
    Your creations are truly divine and one of a kind. Never have I smelled anything quite like your creations Adam. Everyone of them has a great theme and idea.
    Though Siberian Summer *ahem* was a bit nuanced, never have I been disappointed. I can't wait to try your first civet cat creation! I had actually ordered Meleg's Civet Cat Chypre and what are the odds of the universe that a week later this would be released. Antiquated even! You are truly someone who strives to only use the best of the best ingredients or rare because you hold yourself to a higher standard. Price tag is always fair and justified and the community that loves you on facebook have never done me wrong in sales.

    I very much enjoyed your thoughts on collaboration instead of the results of competition.
    Been waiting some time for this one. Didn't know about Sultan Pasha working on the first one.
    Sultan Pasha sent me, some time ago, one of his prototypes. Dense, but lighthearted.
    BTW, I did pick up another Ajmal. Mukhallat Al Shams. I like it.
    Thank you for all you do.

    Hello sir, I am new to your fragrances. I discovered you late last year and I was only able to buy Grandenia, everything else was sold out, and nobody will share with me or sell me a few mills of your older perfumes. I so wanted to try Antiquity but it’s impossible at this point. But that’s ok, because I absolutely loooove Grandenia, I bought 3 bottles. I also got there in time to buy a beautiful bottle of Civet de Nuit. I love it. It’s so beautiful that I can’t stop smelling my wrist. I will buy another bottle as a back up. All of your perfumes are back up worthy. And I don’t buy just to sell. I buy only for my own pleasure, to be able to enjoy your fragrances for the rest of my life. Never to sell any of them. Maybe I share a little with my sister.
    I just want to say thank you from my heart, thank you for making such amazing beautiful perfumes for even me to enjoy. I have never liked those boring department store perfumes. I have always been drawn to unique, Niche and Indie perfumes. I don’t want to smell like everyone else. I wear a fragrance for myself, not to impress others. Your fragrances are truly an art form. In my honest opinion, u are the best. God bless you

    So what you're basically saying is that your 50+ years old civet paste, surprise, surprise, just went bad after playing with it and smells nothing like civet? I see. Why to make a marketing point around this fact though and create a cult of most likely (in my understanding) just expired ingredients? What about the health risks of using them?

    • @areejledorerussia
      @areejledorerussia 2 роки тому +3

      Civet paste, deer musk, ambergris, oud and sandalwood oils are some of the most precious ingredients known to man kind. All of them in general improve with age and dramatically change they characteristics. For instance black stinky fresh ambergris that turns white with age and completely change its aromatic features. Oud oils - the same thing here, they change and mature in most cases. What you are saying is like to say: " your white ambergris is expired, because it is no longer fresh and black like when its just came out from a whale. Do not use it as it has health risks..."
      Moreover, as mentioned in previous videos most of the vintage oils from my collection are gcms lab tested to ensure of their purity and safety before using them.
      Thank you

    • @samueleisenberg372
      @samueleisenberg372 2 роки тому

      @@areejledorerussia do people mature civet though? 🧐🧐 I never heard about that but I'm very keen to learn more. How would it mature for 50 years? To my knowledge this anal-glands paste is mostly made of wax and fats. I can see them *preserving* the material the way some oils are used for diluting materials but do they really *mature* it? Ambergris is very much different - the refining smell with time is due to the external factor of salty sea water that it stays in for years. Its (and woods you mentioned) maturing benefits are all well documented. All of these ingredients are very much different. OLDER=BETTER is hardly always true. I guess one wouldn't try to "mature" milk... I'm just curious if maturing civet paste for decades is a standard process with clear benefits.
      Thank you

    • @areejledorerussia
      @areejledorerussia 2 роки тому +2

      @@samueleisenberg372 yes. If have chance civet farmers mature their stock. It turns darker and smell mellows. My last purchase was 1kg from a farmer, it was matured for 5 years. Already noticeably different from a fresh paste. You can view my video about civet farming.
      Ofcourse older is the better no always works even with sandalwood, ambergris or oud. Some oud oils end up smelling dull, also seen white ambergris pieces that loose its scent completely.
      The only one way to know is to trust the perfumer that you respect. Trust those who examine it and use it only if it has hugely benefited from aging. If one not trust the expertise of a perfumer then only the way is to try it for yourself and decide weather you feel it has benefited from aging or not.
      However, at the end of the day it is also partly a matter of preference. I for instance do not like overly ripped bananas that turned black. Wheres some people absolutely love it. Expired, moldy banana, on the other hand, I can easily identify and will never use or offer to my dear friends to consume.
