I think this idea might make a good series, going to try to continue it with more perfumers and brand owners in the future. Each time I will ask you all what questions to ask, and I'll pick the best questions for the video.
@FragranceView thank you so much for this interview... Russian Adam and kilian are my favorites. If you can do an interview with kilian it would be GREAT... Again thanks for sharing this with us its fkn great
Sultan Pasha was his teacher . Didn't know that 2:07 My first oud was Xerjoff's Zafar . Smelled like a brick of cheese was put in a work boot and worn for a week. Maybe it's changed from back then, and of course I've changed, but my initial reaction was *_Those crazy rich people_* Areej le dore just released three attars on his website today . Two are which sold out already . The price point was perfect , and I am completely happy how Russian Adam announced , then released the attars. The attars were from some from the previous collections. I was going to get some, but I thought I would let other people have a chance at these beauties , for I already have them in the perfume form. Thank you for this upload Peter and thank you Russian Adam for your creations as well as your price points. _May all of life's best blessings be before you both_ . *jbs1 from basenotes*
I've got a few Sultan Pasha's Tabac Grande , Carnival de Havana , Delice , Incense .Ones like that. For the price they are all very nice. His samples are sold out right now, but when they are made available again, you should certainly consider the discovery set. Here's his link if you're interested. sultanpashaattars.com/collections/all-attars?page=1 Very nice individual.
@@FragranceView Well, I know how you are about getting free things, but for this just once, will you . Oswald from Mr Oz has just been getting into his work. I've still got samples from him. Honestly, he's really good about them when you ordered something. I know you accept samples Peter, and you'll give your honest thoughts too . I got a 5 ml of Smell Bents Ice Station Pineapple today , nope, not for me . It does have a frosty menthol smell to it. Not to keen on anything else though. It warms up too. Maybe it went bad. Had that nasty Ferrari Bright Neroli that everyone raved about. Seriously , after 10 minutes it went south of the border . Burnt tape . It smelled of very cheap synthetics . Ice Station has a little of the same synthetics in it. Not as bad though. It might be that my skin rejects what ever synthetics they use. I've smelled these synthetics on other people though . I've also smelled them around the fragrance fountains. I think I'm going to to was it off and go for one of those nice Sultan Pasha attar samples. I'm not being snobbish , but once you've had fresh lobster or haddock from Maine, frozen fish sticks are well, frozen fish sticks. Nothing wrong with them, but . Oh, haven't sampled Sultan Pasha's Ensar Rose . Hope you get a sample of that one. Love to here your thoughts. Hey, Sultan Pasha would do an interview Episode .
I love this interviw of how a person can become a " master profumiere" like has become Adam Russian. His best description for his work ,are: honesty and love what is in fact precise the message to anyone could afford or reached his parfums. I do believe that if he cn inspire the young generations, we would be more in sintony with mother nature. Bravo!
Thanks Peter for putting this together, so much amazing information. Its great to hear all this info from the distiller/perfumer directly. I managed to get two of the attars yesterday. Some of them sold out after less than 2 hours so he has a lot of admirers.
Hi, i just happened to see and hear you for the first time Adam and i am so impressed by your honesty and sincerity i am very happy and so proud to say that i will soon have the precious occasion to experience and enjoy your oud luwak which reminds me of an oil i have bought in morocco Abdul samad qurashi store and im sure it will be mich much better. I think a lot of indolis im so impatient to test it and appreciate its green jasmin hojary and tuberose notes and malik taif sounds so gorgeous
We could sure use more great content from perfumers like this, Peter. Would love to see deep dives with Antonio Gardoni of Bogue; John Biebel of January Scent Project; Josh Lobb of Slumberhouse; Atelier Colognes (since they seem to be experts in extracting their own citruses); Profumum Roma.
Thank you Russian Adam and Peter for doing this video. He is my favorite perfumer and I have the most respect for his work. Every creation made by Areej Le Dore is a masterpiece. Peter, this is a great idea to inteview perfumers and you hit a homerun to Interview the best!
lot of inspiration from him. and as an Indonesian, i very pleasant in how he regards much things from my country, such ingredients and selected words for name of his perfume. nice video. thank you.
This is really terrific! Thank you for this. I am fortunate to now own some of Russian Adam's creations and I find them transformative - this interview has given me a deeper understanding of the genius behind the liquid. I know you have also interviewed Ensar Oud, another master distiller and perfumer - what about Serge Lutens? Uncle Serge remains a favorite of many and I would love to know more about his inspirations, particularly his version of the legendary unicorn bottle, Nombre Noir. Thanks again!
Hi i am Sunil Nair from Mumbai/ India , first of all where can I get Adam's Oud and Attar in India and secondly i am just a beginner in this Perfume business , i want to learn more about this industry , how can somebody help me please
Great series Bro. Looking forward to more. Thank you and Russian Adam for your time and effort. Would love to own some of his collection one day. So far 0. ✌🏻
Interesting how disillusionment can be a catalyst eh? To Adam: thanks for being kind enough to answer our questions! Your insight is incredibly valuable.
I am diying to have Areej Le Dore perfumes, this interview it is amazing, I loooooove the note of deer musk, my dream it is to have lots of ouds and musks Atar's.
I don’t know I’m still iffy about oud and animal based ingredients. Even if he is getting his ingredients ethically, he’s still creating a market for those ingredients for other ambitious perfumers who may not be so ethical. (Curious, why he wouldn’t look at the camera?) Nevertheless love the idea of talking to the perfumers.

Facinating to hear from the man behind the brand , unlike make that seem nameless & faceless. Alot of valuable information shared too 🙏

What a great start to the series. Looking forward to seeing who's up next.

This guy is the real deal. Focusing on quality and the experience of ingrediences, this is perfumery at its best.

Really really awesome video Peter! This is the videos we need! Can’t wait for the ones with Rasei Fort and Christie Michelle!
I asked Christi in the past to do a video with me and she declined, but I will be sure to ask Rasei!

Siberian musk was beautiful. I have a bunch of middle eastern scents..I recommend Kalemat black. One beautiful scent . Trust me
Which music you use at the starting of video
Yeah, packaging and bottling are a flippin nightmare. It's so difficult.
He’s a cooler guy than I thought, maybe I’ll be able to afford a bottle someday
Cheers for taking the time to watch
Thank you Peter for making ys meet the beautiful person adam Russian is i hope he will do a dark and sticky jasmin tuberose attar for me 😅

Sir wich perfume very very very longlast
His new attar releases were sold out in 2 hours.
crazy quick
@@FragranceView Geez!
25 minutes of trying I managed to get it
I also managed to get Russian Oud and Russian Musk, I feel really lucky
@@danieldufort2628 Well done. You are.
It would have been much better if he was looking at the camera. But loved his story. But im curious why all fragrances bases are almost all the same.
I notice similar bases too, my logical thought process would be it's a proven formula that works and lasts a long time on the skin
16:53 what is he saying he used it in what?
I don't understand your question ?
@@FragranceView he said he used that musk in he named the fragrance i couldn't clearly hear it. Watch 16:53
Malik Al Taif
@@FragranceView Awesome, thanks. What's your personal take on it?
I did a full review on it!

For once the perfumer does makes the perfumes himself, unlike many brands that put their name as the perfumer but hire others to do it.
yup
Adam.my brother you are really a gentelman

I’m going to start a niche fragrance company. $190 for 100ml . Best of the best of everything. I like how this industry is growing
Good Luck
5 thumbs down!!?? WHAT??? Jesus, how could anyone give a video like this a thumbs down? Must be Tom Ford and his mom😂
People are weird
Is Russian Adam muslim?
I am not sure sorry, I've never asked him
Well the guy said at the begining " In London I've started practicing islam....so yeah
I don’t trust this guy as a person
I've never met him in person, have you? - Which perfumer would you like me to do a video with next?
FragranceView not really , but i have this thing by just looking at the face.. anyhow, an interview with Imaginary Authors would be nice
