      @@pooman2 No one has ever come out over time and definitely said that the Money Pit 'proper' contains "gold and silver treasure" per se. The fact is, no one really knows exactly what they are looking for. Yes, there are many theories. But if you go back and read credible books written long before this TV show was thought of and research into the Oak Island Archives, you'll get a pretty good idea of what Oak island is all about. Yes, there is something "still there" deep underground having collapsed into the cavern(s) deep underground when the Money Pit collapsed back in the 1800's. It is archaeological and religious in significance and is probably of unimaginable value. The evidence would point to it being an ancient tomb contained in the alleged Chappell Vault which "they" seem to be avoiding because fully excavating and retrieving it would solve the mystery and end the show.

    I'm so addicted to this show. It's not just about the treasure of gold or silver. The entire show is a treasure hunt of history and mystery pieces they find. I love archeological digs stories that connect back to Europe and the way North America's disvocery story is being rewritten!!! The history and constant finds is the most interesting. How many people interacted with this 1 little island or knew about its existence so many years before gps or technology is just incredible to see! I'm so glad for vudu! She was stunned when told that the manhole lids were upwards of two thousand years old and that the ancient Romans had that technology perfected. After the fall of the Roman Empire and with the passage of time throughout the centuries, that technology and knowledge was lost only to be rediscovered over a thousand years later. It's mind-boggling!

      Even though they have actually found nothing relevant
      The people keep watching year after year.
      What with spin offs and merchandise , the show was / is the real money pit .

I get inspired to write songs sometimes, if I come up with one that is worthy, maybe you and the Bruds can use it as a jingle for your show (et al). Quite an effort, my uncle Freddy won a treasure map of the island back in the thirties in a sailor poker game on long Island,, and took my cousins there about when you started the dig, so I am a big fan!

  • @ModernDayRenaissanceMan

    This show is had a steady 3 million plus viewers since the first season. This is why they already know since the beginning what is going on and why if you pay close attention to what they are doing they continuously miss or make stupid decisions to avoid finding whatever it is they need to find.
    They are making more money dragging it out then they ever will find under the ground whether it is very treasure or actual mineral deposits.
    They knew that hole was going to flood because it has flooded on everyone else when they dug it, but instead of waterproofing as they went down they made sure that it would flood on them and then only waterproof did afterwards.
    Instead of actually digging a tunnel up and around and to the side since they have lateral digging movement in the garden shaft they decided to quit altogether and move to another spot. Why not use the guaranteed method to get around the flood?
    I'm not even going to get into all the items that they refused to test. I'm not going to get into the fact that they don't have second opinions on their scientists. I'm not going to get into the fact that they don't have a larger archaeologist team in order to dig up everything much quicker. They are obviously stalling for time because time makes them money!

    If they find who were the ones who made the wharf and the stone road they could trace back their origins and see if they have stories carved on stone, in walls or in scrolls talking about the voyages they made to the island. There has to be some kind of recollection of what happened there even if it was passed down as a secret. It would be more than weird that no one ever wrote down anything they went through in those times.

    • @HolyFckUfff
      @HolyFckUfff Місяць тому +1

      Since back then there was no tv I’m sure lots of people bored wrote down stuff like a diary talking about their day and what they’ve done or saw. If only they could find that kind of stuff maybe someone wrote what they saw one day or give us a description of how the island looked like in that time. Maybe without even knowing there’s clues that can help. Maybe a hole they saw that now is nowhere to be seen or a cave that over time got hidden by nature or even a story they have been told that no one has ever heard before etc.

There are those who believe that Oak Island contains an "ancient" ossuary containing the human remains of Jesus of Nazareth sealed within the alleged Chappell Vault and brought here from across the Atlantic Ocean to conceal it from known Christendom at the time in an elaborate scheme to overthrow the ancient Roman Empire. I've been following this Oak Island mystery since 1962--- nearly 62 years and I am fed up with this "Entertainment" Reality TV show that has no intention of getting definitive answers or solving the Oak Island mystery. Mr. Marty Lagina is now going in circles if he wants to now drill 12 new 6-inch boreholes in the general area that should have been completely excavated down to bedrock long ago. Additional boreholes are a complete waste of time because any significant artifacts that might be underground would be destroyed by all the multitude of small boreholes being drilled. The team located and viewed the so-called "Aladdin's Cave" and also previously located the edge or corner of the alleged Chappell Vault. Why don't they completely excavate those targets??? It doesn't take a Civil Engineer to figure out the overall location/position of the Chappell Vault if you know at least one corner of it..... Duh!!! "They" must think the average intelligence of the viewers of this show are on the elementary school level. This TV show has gotten ridiculous and "they" clearly have no intention of doing major excavations (e.g. Marty Lagina's proposed Big Dig) that could give answers and hopefully solve the Oak Island mystery because that would essentially end the show which is the Number One Money-Making show on History Channel. Sorry so lengthy......

    What a mad show! Obsessed with the Knights templars. Note this :Friday 13th 1307 templars basically end. October 12th, 1492 Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas.
    So what they are saying is that the templars said, oooh, let's go to America 185 years before Christopher Columbus could doggy paddle, let alone navigate the high seas."
    It will be aliens next!!!

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa Місяць тому

      The indigenous peoples of Eastern Canada would say that Christopher Columbus didn't discover anything. If anything, peoples from the Middle East/Mediterranean Region made their way to Atlantic Canada upwards of two thousand years ago by traveling up to the north, around the top land mass and down into North America. There are countless ancient shipwrecks dotting the seafloor of Mahone Bay near to Oak Island and that is how the bay got its name "mahonne" which means "a type of barge or long rowing boat".

      Think about it why water is coming pushing its way to the baby blob and it's sitting I bet between 60 and 90 feet above where water is coming in any person that hides something great value or not I'm sure if it needed to be retrieved there is always to get it and shut boobie trap or a valve water is coming in from somewhere and that needs to be shut off before they find it with technology back then building tunnels like that especially that deep hiding it and there was no water back then would be impossible so there has to be some where it is coming from and that's what is collapsing things and filling the voids up plus there is probably more then one treasure hidden there

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa 25 днів тому

      They have been trying unsuccessfully to block the flood tunnels for two hundred years and it is more complicated than it appears. There is also a flood tunnel that leads to the original Money Pit from the opposite direction from Smith's Cove, probably originating from the shallow waters to the west of Oak Island to the mainland. With the gradually-rising sea level over the past two millennium, that "shallow waters" was most probably dry land in the very distant past allowing for the digging/excavating of a flood tunnel leading to the original Money Pit. Hence, the sea level at Smith's Cove was much lower in the very distant past allowing for the construction of the finger-shaped box drains and the other interesting structures that were uncovered by the team found beneath the man-made (artificial) beach. The Geological Survey of Canada stated in the 1990's that the sea level surrounding Oak Island is rising at the rate of 30 centimetres (12 inches) every one hundred years. Bathymetric maps prepared confirm this fact. Again, sorry so lengthy!
