Great interview man!!!!
Thanks Chris!
Uncle silk becoming an elite interviewer
Thanks for listening!
Bro I love Billy!! He is who he is!!
Great work, fellas. Thank you Coach for taking the time.
Thanks for watching!
I don’t have high expectations for the next year but I think Billy is the guy we just need to(sadly) be patient
His record at lousiana in year 2 improved alot. Year 1 they were 7-7 and year 2 they were 11-3. I dont expect 11-3 next year for Florida. But I'm sure we will see improvement especially on DEFENSE!! I am concerned about the QB position but we'll find out. Napier and staff evaluate very well. Who thought that Etienne and Montrell Jonhson and Torrence would be so damn good as they were? Patience is key. it's worth the wait and I am getting way up there in years so I hope I live to watch it. Stay the course!!
This year 2 is very different due to 2/3 of the roster being flipped. My hope is for a top 5 class in 24 and on field improvement. The 24 season will be put up or shut up.
One of Billie’s best interviews! Loved hearing him say rivalry games mean something to him because It needed to be said
Is Vandy the main rival now?
0-4, Goofy.
@@RyanCalebSmith He said it matters. He’s getting his own roster! My coach needs time & that’s what we’re giving him! 👌🏾
@@JGarv09 I am not going to discuss UT or UGA as they were the better teams this year. But, we had a shot to beat LSU and FSU then Coach Goofy screw those up
@@RyanCalebSmith AR went 9/27 vs FSU! 😂 Bruh go to bed.. No matter what time it is where you are.. PLEASE go to bed
I love our coach.! He's gonna make us great. Givd him time!
absolutely!
Great interview S&G 🧡💙🐊💪
Thanks for listening!
Great interview guys, glad you lined up the Coach.
Glad you enjoyed it!
love it!!
Thanks for always listening Ben!
Love this
🐐
Evals are huge, cant say how many highly rated bust we've had here, Napier gets it
Good talk
I believe in Billy. When he talks people listen. We haven't had a genuine coach in a long time and I %110 trust the process. Mediocrity is not acceptable. He should have a minimum of 4 years to right the ship. UNLESS the team is not noticeably better by the end of year 3. That's just my opinion 🤷
Let’s go
I would have asked,"How well has the new facilities helped you compare to your time last year working from the stadium.
Blue chip Billy pullin up. Go gators 🐊
🐊🐊🐊
7-8 win SZN ….
If gator nation can be patient. I think Napier can be successful at UF. Hearing him speak about building synergy and a “onesness” in the program.
just because coaching babble and "organized" is the way you win football games. It's right there on the scoreboard beside points. You saw it, right?
@@donkeydonkey8681 I mean this isn’t pee wee football. An infrastructure has to be built on the college and professional level to have continued success. If you don’t want to believe that. Idk what to tell you.
@Donkey Donkey 11 years of neglect from the athletic department and you expect greatness in one season with a team that quit many games and loved to commit undisciplined penalties like shoe throwing?
Last season we went from the most to one of the least penalized teams in all of college football. That's progress. Many of our losses save for the bowl game where we were missing most of our starting roster were close and the team never seemed to quit. That's progress. Three of the most successful players on the team, Etienne, Johnson, and Torrence (OL of the year with 0 QB sacks allowed) played under this man before the move to UF.
Give it a bit.
@@Justboredcook yes, please tell me about how he doesn't have the "infrastructure" to figure out the mysteries of Kintucky and Vandy.
Just the same babble from the same fans too. The ones who thought Butterteeth and QB Keeper boy were building champions.
20:00 just a nonanswer. No explanation for why he was clueless most of the time, running the clock out and leaving despertately needed points on the field like clockwork, then taking timeouts to help the other team's offense. 3rd quarter we were just terrible. And just no explanation other we're getting better and better ala Zook.
The Saban's ball control run run run offense looked like garbage until he abandoned the stone age stuff and hired Kiffin midseason - get out of your office Nussdrunk, that is now Kiffin's desk, the special offensive advisor - and then Sarkisian (for all their faults). Hopefully Billy can figure this and hire someone who is competent at playcalling and the passing game before he gets his ass fired.
Right now the forecast is for him to get fired on or about October 31st, 2024.
anytime billy says relative you have to take a shot
Though it was needful, the roster turnover means 2/3 of your team is new. This is like year one all over again.
Can ya ask Billy to unblock me on damn Twitter I been supporting this man since day one 😂🤣
he definitely does not run his twitter acct
@@rickyrougs I know but he can tell whoever does to dammit unblock me I know that much
His solution is to be better.
I believe in Napier. We need to give him time to thrive!
We will… And HE WILL!! Drown out the noise mann! Billy is getting 5-6 years minimum
I think we will win six games next year just being logical.
Watch him go 6 and 6 again. The guy is all hype.
Unfortunately, Billy Napier has to bring the Gator Community together. I see a great divide in the "Gator Nation" right now. Another losing season will not be tolerated. However, it may be necessary in order to build this program where it needs to be. Let's not forget that this program was ignored for 11 years by the UF administration. While UF spent years investing in Softball, Baseball, Lacrosse, and others, the football program was ignored and suffered significantly. Turning a program around nowadays takes 3-4 recruiting classes of 4-5 star recruits. Especially when other programs you're recruiting against are showing off numerous championship rings. I want to see where the football program is in 2025 and 2026. We'll be well into a 12 game playoff system by then, and SEC Championship won't mean that much on the national level. I like what I hear from him, and he has the balance of "aw shucks" of Bobby Bowden with "do it the right way" of Nick Saban. Could be rough, but very interesting ride, over the next 4 years! Go Gators!
There’s no division here.
If anything, in year 2 I just wanna see improvement. Hopefully they get better as the season goes, because it felt like the opposite happened this year
@@johnnyboy1237 thats because the team peaked week 1 and then did get worse throughout the season!
The only divide you see is the separation of real lifelong loyal Gator fans and fairweather "fans" .
This guy knows what he is doing! He needs time.
I’m not pleased nor happy about the current state of UF ! I don’t trust the AD decision making. Im not impressed w this football program . We ve fallen from elite to subpar on all fronts . Maybe one day UF football can return to elite status! Superior coaches, * star ⭐️ recruits , & a unified fan base . It’s gonna be difficult to watch this fall
yall finna get blim blammed
I have no question Napier can build a respectable program that operates with integrity… however, I’m highly doubtful he can have a championship caliber program. I hope I’m wrong.
When a programs expectations are based on a false sense of a programs achievements you get the Florida Gators! Obviously I will get called crazy by a uninformed Fanbase, but outside of a 15 year period from 93’ thru 08’ Florida has always been a middle of the road SEC team. Florida is today what they have been historically speaking!
After looking at the schedule we win 6 games bro. Unless Mertz can take off. Utah, LSU, Georgia, FSU are all pretty much losses.
The community are not skilled in judgement as far as understanding what it takes to to win Billy need to keep doing what he is doing
Ummmmm he has to say that he is the coach. No coach in his right .ind will say, well guys in year 2 I expect us to 6-7 again but reality will have Florida being worse
Seems to have a plan. We will see in 8 months!
"Retaining the majority of the staff" isn't a good thing with this staff.
Luckily, fighting Vandy for last place was just a "growing pain of the first year".
Silk is definitely in the "show me" camp, as should every person actually concerned about the program, rather than just boy crushes on a temporary 3-4 year mercenary who is occupying the HC seat until Oct 31st 2024.
I think the honeymoon is over for Sunbelt Billy if he has 3 Ls before the bye week and that’s very possible.
Sunbelt Billy is in over his head.
We will see this year!
I'm a Seminole but this is no troll.
Billy sounded like he was a bit on the defense and pressured to make excuses.
Nobody cares about staff getting settled in and getting their kids in school.
Nobody cares about anything but how you're going to fix it and I didn't hear that.
I didn't hear a plan for how will next year be better than this year.
I didn't hear accountability for losses.
I think UF misses a bowl game this year and recruiting will suffer then there will be a downwards spiral.
If I were a Gator I'd say this interview didn't inspire any confidence that he knows what he's doing.
Looks like a troll
@@StadiumandGale I'd love for UF to miss a bowl, but this is no troll at all.
I think Mertz could flourish, but I can't see UF wins away at Utah and LSU or beats any of their other rivals at home.
I saw people saying Billy doesn't know what he's doing, but I didn't take it seriously until I watched this interview.
He's not Willy Taggart bad, but he's been dealt a raw deal with this roster and he hasn't brought in top portal talent to bridge the gap.
In 2023 he could have a Norvell-esque year with freshmen players that excel, but FSU's rebound was in the ACC so it ain't looking good at all for UF in the SEC.
And we all know what will happen to recruiting if UF is sitting at 5-5 after the LSU game.
@@SeminoleSpaceForce better than Money Mike in year one, right?
