So...here's the problem I have with the way you guys break things down: You talk about how Baugh this, Baugh that, right? Silk is the first person to actually say anything about why - and what he said was "Vision." Truth. From all the film, Baugh does have great vision. So okay, but then: why Baugh? Jackson has pretty awesome vision. Even Montrell has pretty decent vision. People watch Baugh, and they ooh and ahh over these runs, but it's like "Do any of you actually go back and look at the film?" On that long run he had at MSU? (11:20 left in the 4th) If SILK was in as RB on that play, he'd have gotten the same number of yards Baugh did. Why? Because go back and look at the blocking. You could drive a monster truck through the hole Baugh had. As they were showing the replay, the commentators even said "Look...he doesn't even get touched until he's 22 yards downfield." What people aren't talking about is that Baugh got run down by the safety who started the play on the opposite hash. So yes...vision. But he's not going to run away from guys once he does break free. People spend all this time dogging ETN, but here's a news flash for you: he scores on that same play. You don't see ETN getting run down from behind by the safety, and certainly not the safety who started out on the opposite hash. Napier's blocking schemes on like 95% of the plays are way, way too complicated. Again - watch the film. Guys pulling all over the place, and what you see from the RB POV is just a mess in front of you. You HAVE to have good vision just to get through the asteroid field that is the line of scrimmage. But on these plays where a RB breaks one? Simple blocking, most of the time...like on the one where Baugh got 32 yards. On that play? Zero guys pulled. The problem is: when we try straight-up blocking against non-Sun Belt teams like Mississippi State (nice, Nick), the holes aren't there. So okay, what do you do? What you don't do is: have RBs with great vision who don't have the burst to create if the hole isn't there. And we have a stable full of exactly that. Yes, these are talented RBs, and yes, if Napier had the O-line from back in his Bama coaching days, these RBs would be absolutely killing it. And I'm not dogging Baugh. He's a talented RB. But the yards he's getting are circumstantial...as are the yards every other RB is getting. If the hole is there, they get yards. If it's not, they don't have the burst to make it happen on their own. I think potentially the only RB on the team who does might be Daniels, and obviously Napier doesn't play freshmen when they're too fast (see: Mizell 2023). Jackson should be getting the bulk of the carries, and the remainder should probably be Baugh and Montrell, with a few mixed in for Webb and Daniels, and if they perform, they steal more from Montrell. But at this point, I'm convinced Napier owes Montrell money or something, because that's the only reason Montrell should be getting the bulk of the carries on this team.

I kinda disagree with you Silk, I think Treyaun Webb has been overlooked and I personally think he’s looked like the best in the room. Baugh makes bigger plays at times but Webb is consistently getting yards, I think every red zone trip, we should have Webb in the backfield because he’s consistently finding 4-5 yards every play. My boy been getting a little overlooked with Montreal being RB1 and then them young boys behind him but I’ve liked what I’ve seen from him a lot tbh.

I went to the Mississippi State game and they were super weak even from the very beginning of the game and like Dan said they have to quit when the ball is about to be snapped so for those 10 seconds they are completely quiet when they should be the loudest

Defense is still out of position and fundamentals are garbage. They are bunch of individuals out there. DT aren't the problem. It's more on the Edge players. The scheme is to complicated for these players. That's why the don't have buy in. They don't know where they supposed to be. These kids are saying they being coached. They aren't doing what they are being coached to do. At some point the players need to do their job.

Wow it’s the scheme not players …. Maybe you should have a actual player or coach break the Pham down with you and show you that it’s not the players per se. It’s how they’re coached how the scheme is.

Who cares who coaches the rest of the season? It's a lost season no matter what. And why do we keep talking about kids leaving if they fire Napier in the middle of the season? And why do we keep talking about recruiting if Napier gets fired in the middle of the season. None of that matters. If you hire Lane in January, any players you lost will come back in the portal. Plus, he will bring players with him. You might have to punt on recruiting for one year. Again, who cares? The number one priority is hiring the right coach. As long as we get that right, everything else will work itself out.

Mullen wasn’t willing to put in the work. Everyone but him and his ESPN suckbuddies knows it. He had to be fired. Glad Dan Mullen is gone.
