Stayed at Art of Animation... There was a picture of Prince Eric hanging by the bed. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO COMPETE WITH THAT???!!!???

As a numbers guy, this isn't a true representation of the "worst" unless you are asking people to rank them. There needs to be two polls, one for best, one for worst. Otherwise people are only picking their "best". If you reran the poll asking for people to vote for their "worst" the list would change.

Lol. My honeymoon was at Pop Century because it was what we could afford at the time. We booked through Travelocity, bought our tickets from the Disney store, then left them in the car at the airport. My FIL had to get my spare key from my mom, drive to the airport, get the tickets and then fax them to the resort in order for us to use them. Quite the romantic start for our trip.

While we're on the subject of couples.....my significant other and I are planning on honeymooning at wdw and I would LOVE it if you guys would expand a little on the couples thing. I would love to hear your opinions on must-do's for couples at wdw!!! please please please!!! I value your opinion over all the other Disney UA-camrs I watch!!!!! 😘😘😘😘

Heather and Shelby, I realize I'm an insignificant internet nobody, but I'll throw my two bits from my recent WDW honeymoon out there for you, just in case it helps.
      1) Splurge on lodging. We were on a budget, but had the opportunity to spend a little more to stay at AK Lodge, and we regret not doing so. That being said, French Quarter is amazingly romantic, IMO. As the sun goes down and the lights start coming up on the trails, it's gorgeous. You're right there on the river, and it's just amazing. (1.a) Book your resort on the phone, not online. I'm pretty sure the CM will try to put you in a room with a view.
      2) Eat at least one fancy dinner, maybe choosing one based on your interests. The nice places really go out of their way to make Honeymoon dinners extra special; you might get free champagne or dessert (or both, if you're really nice!)
      3) Get the memory maker package and take a nice photo in front of each of the parks' major "landmarks". The kind of photos that are basically wedding photos sans the fancy get up.
      4) Build Lego figures of each other in Disney Springs. Maybe this was just because we're nerds.
      5) If you don't get the dessert package, get some gelato and watch Illuminations from the tower in the piazza. It's a pretty good view, you don't have to stake it out, and it's pretty much empty, so you can sit and kind cuddle during the fireworks.
      6) My husband had never been to EPCOT, so I made some guesses about what he would like to do, and I told him all about the behind the scenes stuff I knew. We also bought a desert in each country to share (some to take home and share, because there's a limit to how much we can eat). Your mileage may vary in this regard.

Or tent, to be honest. We have a large cabin tent with amenities, queen size air mattress and A/C. It's cozy, romantic with campfires and carriage rides and plenty of places for romantic strolls not to mention cuddling on the beach. And honestly, is there anything better than sleeping on your own bed that no one else has slept in, lol?

My husband and I will be going to the Beach Club resort for our anniversary. It's soooo beautiful and romantic. Walking distance to Epcot and shares the best pool out of all the resorts with Yacht Club. If you request a Crescent Lake facing room you can watch the boardwalk fireworks from your balcony. The rooms are updated and gorgeous. Yes, the Polynesian is absolutely amazing, but Beach Club is a little more affordable and can give you a very romantic experience as well.

Yes, I've seen their playlist. I'm not hating on the page; in fact, I love it. However, while they do have ones for individual resorts, I'd like to see a list of ones that people recommend for single people or guys going with, say, college buddies; much like these top 5 for families and couple. If they've already done a top 5 list like that specifically, I'd love to know where since they have 24 videos on their list & that's not one of them. That's all.

I wasn't the one who voted for any of the All Star resorts but having stayed at both Music and Movies, I will have to say Music was our favorite of the two. While neither are romantic by any means, if you are on a tight budget, Music has our vote.

I wouldn't choose Art of Animation for couples since the rooms are super vibrant and scream Disney. For me as a Disneyholic, I'm all in, for my husband who isn't, the last thing he needs is more Disney in his face. I would choose Port Orleans French Quarter or Riverside because of the horse and carriage ride, the scenery, the boat to Downtown Disney, and the atmosphere alone is sooo southern belle and dapper dan which to me is very romantic and perfect for couples. I don't use FB, so there are my choices : )

I think the beach club should have been on the list-that pool has some secluded areas that could be romantic from what I remember....its pretty at night too. Plus its so close to epcot with all the great shopping and dining. AND its on the boardwalk...the balconies are so nice too, esp if you are lucky enough to get one that faces fireworks!

My partner and I booked Port Orleans French Quarter for November, and we picked it over Riverside specifically because it was smaller. We haven't yet been, so I can't say if it's the most romantic place for couples, but we sure are hoping!

We just stayed there last July. It was nice. Either Riverside or French Quarter is a good choice. The pool is meh but still not bad.I prefer the pool at Riverside over FQ. We choose a room away from the the main building on the top floor and it was great. Very quiet and we didnt mind the walk to the bus because the grounds are very nicely landscaped. I hope you find it as pleasant as we did. Have fun!

    • @reneebarger5194

We love FQ because it is quieter and you can still walk over to Riverside to use the amenities. Seems like we can always get the boat to DS from there. The staff makes it for us and the cozy little piano bar.

Poly to me is the most romantic but only if you're ok with it being hectic with people at times. If you prefer a more laidback experience I prefer Wilderness Lodge. I haven't experienced the Boardwalk or Beach Club yet though. I could see maybe Boardwalk being good for couples.

  • @hashtagheadies6594

Cabins are something else, gives you the wilderness without sleeping in a camper or tent. Riverside should be in there like you said and French out

  • @bigtrouble72
    @bigtrouble72 7 років тому

I absolutely agree with the Poly for #1, but as a couple with no kids, we're all for Ft. Wilderness. I agree it's very romantic. We actually do the campsites, but I get why you would say the cabins. As far as Port Orleans French Quarter over Riverside, I agree but I am one of those who went when it was two separate resorts and I just think the theming of New Orleans lends itself to being more romantic than the spread out Riverside. Just IMHO. Oh, and the treehouses should be a chart topper as well.

Kinda but not really surprised where Art of Animation landed. I get it as more of a "kids" resort, but my wife and I love that one. It is just us and we REALLY enjoy the Disney theming, the only king sized beds are in the Little Mermaid (her number 2 favorite Disney movie) and it is just a beautiful resort, and the artist motif in the lobby/gift shop/food court is gorgeous. Again, I get it, but for couples that like it, AoA is rather nice.

POFQ is smaller than RS and beautifully themed, but the real reason we choose it everytime is because it's always been quieter and has less children running around! I guess all the families head to RS for its perks. Fine by us! LOL

It's not the most romantic by any means, but some couples can't afford a moderate 🤷🏼‍♀️ my fiancé decided to surprise me last minute with a Disneymoon, and with the short notice and budget All Star Music is what works

  • @Militarized
    @Militarized 7 років тому

I'm surprised that contemporary didn't make the cut into the best. Maybe that's because the list was about the general hotel and not the dvc areas. Bay lake towers seems like a perfect couples get away. However I really enjoy modern design and such so maybe that's why. But having California grill and the sky bar for fireworks seems awfully romantic to me. Plus the wave lounge and such.
I've already booked for me and my girlfriend. Polynesian is just a monorail ride away for the stuff we want to do there but I preferred the look of the bay lake towers rooms.

Morning! All Star Sports would not be my choice, but I can see someone voting for it if they were just married on a budget and did the WDW as a Honeymoon, nostalgic romantic!
My second comment; I find it interesting that of the Port Orleans Hotels you both find bigger better (there's a joke in there.) I have stayed at both and love the quaintness of French Quarter. You have big and busy everywhere else during your stay at WDW, it's nice to come back to a more relaxed base with the one you love at the end of the day. xoxo Shellie O

Not at all surprised by Art of Animation being one of the worst - of my stays at Disney World, I've had my worst experiences there. The management was terrible, very unaccommodating, especially considering they bumped me and a friend into a room with just one real bed when we repeatedly said we needed two - for what we spent, one of us shouldn't have been on a pull out couch bed. Hopefully they've improved their service.

I don't think the voters did a good job with this. Just the name "All Star Sports" doesn't scream couples. Disney doesn't advertise a place like this as a romantic getaway hotel. This should have been resorts aimed towards couples to begin with that don't meet expectations.

yes, but the point of the list was "Best" and "Worst" resorts for "couples". This should be resorts that are aimed at couples. All Star sports isn't geared to couples. Its like saying name the best and worst Italian restaurants and you have Papa Johns on the worst list. Papa John should not even be in the voting.

I just commented this on one of the other videos, but I just wanted to say that my boyfriend and I just got back from a stay at the Yacht Club and we absolutely loved it and are thinking about going back later this year. I was nervous about staying there because of some of the reviews on other videos, but the room we stayed in was renovated and it was absolutely beautiful and clean and modern. The pool was really great and definitely not just for kids, even though it looks like it with the giant pirate ship slide. I would really recommend staying there as a couple because it's a really quiet (but not uptight) and relaxing resort with great restaurants (Yachtsman) and can definitely be enjoyed by couples of all ages as well. We're both 24 and had a great time and I can see us staying there for years to come. I originally wanted to stay at the Polynesian but I'm so glad we stayed at the Yacht club instead because it's not as hectic and you can take nice strolls by the water and can easily go to the boardwalk or Epcot for a drink or dinner.

I don't care for the Poly. There is just something I don't like about it. The theming is great so I just don't know why i don't like it. Maybe cause the restaurant experience I had there was so horrible.I love the Port Orleans, either Riverside or FQ and very affordable, plus the boat ride to Disney Springs is very nice. I think the Boardwalk is a great choice. If the weather is good its such a nice leisurely stroll to some of the best restaurants and again a boat ride, this time to Hollywood Studios. I am surprised Animal Kingdom didn't make the list.A Savannah view room would be lovely to have a morning coffee or tea while watching animals.

I like your awareness at the start that a majority of your viewers are likely families and not sIngles/couples. It would be nice if that vantage point was also represented by most of your staff. This isn't to say you don't have valid opinions; however, a single man or a newly wed probably won't have the same experience as a mom/dad of young children.
    Thanks for the video.

I find this incredibly strange. We must be the one couple who think these things don't matter. my husband and I stay in Scotland and it costs a lot to go to Disney world just for flghts, so we book a value, as lets face it, you spend most of your time in the parks, wanting to experience everything as we are there for a limited time. I can't understand why a couple can't find romance regardless of where they are. you are staying at the happiest place on earth, whether it's got children and families there, as I am sure even the deluxe resorts have families at them. I guess it depends on you as a person, how much money you can blow, and how much you feel these things matter. You can find Romance anywhere when you are in love, and away from it all. it's not as if there are families and giant size toy story characters in your room. I honestly don't believe I would have a less or more romantic time if I stayed at polynesian compared to all stars. If you need external factors to give you that, that's something I'd be concerned about more.

I have to laugh, All Star Sports for couples??? Maybe if your husband is a coach... I could see how the Port Orleans one could be considered romantic---like a horse carriage ride there? Walk along the paths. Fort Wilderness could as long as you are not the one having to pitch a tent...although some people could actually think a tent might be romantic.. Me, roughing it is NOT romantic. I'd have to say yep, the Polynesian with the tiki torches at night---walking around, dinner at Ohana. Sitting on the beach as the sun sets.

How is the Polynesian the best resort for couples? They don't even have king beds! Contemporary all the way :)

I did not vote for all star movies but I would assume that the One person voted for it because couples like to watch movies and cuddle. Idk.

Brandon Pegg either would be nice. we enjoyed the bar at top of the tower for amazing drinks and fireworks. Plus, we liked the early morning walk to magic kingdom. It did help that we passed my family brick from 1994.

Pop century was the worst. Service wasn't as good as other value resorts I've stayed at, didn't love the theming. I get that sometimes a value resort is what's in the budget, and you can of course make it romantic yourself, but the service here was very disappointing. Would recommend music or movies over pop.

Stayed there in March and yeah, it was pretty aawful, The room smelled musty, the bed was horrible and the noise, OMG THE NOISE. At a certain hour their security HAS to shut that down. My stay at Music was FAR better than my stay at Pop.

I stayed at Pop Century in May -- in the 80's section -- and I was surprised how much I enjoyed this resort. I didn't notice any noise, I had a view of Hourglass Lake and the cast was fantastic. Just for context, I usually stay at the DVC resorts. I would stay at Pop Century again -- and looking forward to trying the newly remodeled rooms.

Jen Babe I've also never had an issue there but they are refurbing the rooms so that may fix a lot of the complaints.

Overall I hate pop century rooms. I hate them so much. They are tiny and make me feel like I'm staying at a super8. Last time I was there they hadn't cleaned the room well and there was still someone's change left on the floor between the beds. We also can smell if someone smokes in the rooms beside us through the vents (just because it is non smoking doesn't mean they don't smoke because they do) now I love the pools and the lobby and the big quick service restaurant and they also have the best arcade and when I was younger we would go there JUST to use the arcade if we were at a different resort. But I won't stay there again because I hate the rooms. I'm at Disney, not super8
