I'm in Stamford, CT. Would you be the Master spas rep for my area? Where in CT can I see the 19D challenger swim spa in person? I've been catching up on all your videos and they are so helpful! We are planning a new build in 2-3 years (already purchased the 1.3 acre lot) and was thinking of installing a swim spa in the basement during the build but this video convinced me we can install outside of the walk out basement near the door so we just have a quick few steps to get inside in the colder weather. Plus, will save us $$ for not doing the indoor set up which I saw in your other video is quite extensive and complicated.
Do NOT drain your hot tub or swim spa if you lose power in the winter. Leave the water in it. They're insulated enough that as long as you keep the cover on and locked, freezing shouldn't be an issue. Draining the water increases the chance of pipes freezing and causing myriad of issues. You can hear more about this in this video around the 35:53 mark: ua-cam.com/video/nDUqmtjcn94/v-deo.html
I enjoyed watching this video. I live here in Dallas Texas and bought my swim spa back in June 2020 and it was delivered on Easter weekend 2021. They are telling the truth about how efficient these new swmspas are made these days. For one entire week the high here in Texas around 50 degrees. My 14 ft swim spa was set at 94 degrees on Sunday then set at 70 degrees fr rest of week and it dropped 1 degree about every 36 hours. Amazing insulation on modern swim spas.
Any special considerations for installations where it drops to 35 below in January?
I live in Wyoming, do I need to winterize, it can get below zero for a few days at a time.
can you walk on the cover that is "snow load rated", how much weight can go on top?

how to quickly drain if you loose power during winter?
How to prepare for that possible situation?
