I don’t think people understand how difficult it is to fit an tac a piece that size by themselves. Love too see the videos! Looks like your love your job!
Now that's a fitter/welder, I went through 4 years of apprentiship to learn that and that was after 2 years of welding school. All I'm saying is this man is a real craftsman. You don't learn this in a week or 2. Looks like good work man. Thanks for explaining your objectives. God bless, and work safe.
You can’t beat Calvin when it comes to videos, how one man can teach you so much about welding and fabrication on pipes without big slide on jigs and fixtures is amazing! Being a second year welder/fabricator now specialising in pipes your videos have been a saving grace and made me into the fabricator I am today, thanks for these videos buddy 👏🏻
I love your methods for fit ups. I'm just a hobby welder and I like to stowe away these methods to my memory. Ya never know when they will come in handy. I like how you say take it one portion at a time!!
I loved it man when you spin it all around (9.55) its shows the perfection learned a lot and still learning from your videos... i wish you love and peace keep doing good work ...👌✌🙏
i just started working in a pilot plant fab shop, welding asme pressure vessles and pipe spools, i must say coming right out of welding school (only 2 months) its quite intimidating,, and ive just been doing basic 2" and 3/4" socket weld 90's with flanges on each end, and a couple with tees in the middle, took me all week, and my boss wasnt impressed with how slow i was, my coworker kinda gave me the same advice, sometimes you just gotta go "good enough" aslong as like you said it looks the part and the critical levling/squaring is done then other things can be corrected later/ignored if they were made in a timely manner
Appreciate the dancing and singing. I usually do a little headbanging if the song is roughly the same tempo as my whipping. (We whip in our shop for A E S T H E T I C. It's notthe way I like to weld but that's one of the reasons I took the job.)
Calvin, great advice about not being overwhelmed by the drawing, break it down to small pieces....the same way you eat an elephant, one piece at a time.....cheers from Florida, USA, Paul
Hi Calvin, I wanted to thank you for the discount code at Craigmore . You just saved me £85 so I went and donated £100 to the Red Cross in Ukraine . So you made that donation possible , good luck with the future your an inspiration bro . Best regards David BTW I'm building an aluminium power boat at the moment , that's an off road vehicle ! your welcome to help with it.
I'm very glad to see your respiratory PPE. My best pal was a structural welder his entire career. I believe his deteriorated mental and cognitive condition was most likely from the fumes off all that 7018 he ran. I think it is the manganese that causes mental decline. I really miss him. Anyway, greetings from USA!
From a one man fabricator to another, bad ass work man😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 Only difference is, I do my work in the field ( stick ). Non the less all pretty effortless 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Fucking A! Beautifully done! Never messed with pipewelding myself. I'm a structural guy. But pipe still fascinates me. That rotation at the end showed some Slick work my friend. Very well done!
how are you at 52 k subscribers ! In America here in Cali, we make 90k a year with no overtime. The guys I've seen are not this good. Overtime would put us here maybe 120k - 150k easy! Great work hope one day ill get this good.
Awesome work👍...On a long conveluded pipe like this how do you keep the fitting specs lined up after the material shrinks during cooling?...How much does the shrinkage affect the field fitting specs?....✌
I know mig/fcaw is faster. But do you do tig or smaw? And any other metals stainless, duplex, 9chrome ? Ever worked in the field to install your prefab?
Great skills man , can you make a Video Show how you make fill Pass? I normaly weld pulse with 130 to 150 amps Light weave, bitte that Takes much time . I am Interestet and with 245 amps you are definatly faster. Sorry for my bad englisch i am from germany :)
Ngl ur tig is good, but if u just give the pipe a lil time to cool before the fill and cap it won’t sink and will come out with good color especially on stainless
Thank You for yet another great video. Just wondering, are you using your older Fronius again? Or do You stil have the new one? Would be the propper question... Thanks, Mark
I don't know why this guy has the big expensive organic vapor cartridge on his PAPR unit especially when welding carbon steel. Even with stainless n95 is sufficient
I don’t think people understand how difficult it is to fit an tac a piece that size by themselves. Love too see the videos! Looks like your love your job!
Appreciate it bro, it is difficult as fuk, im just so used to it now

I was impressed when you rotated the whole pipe at the end , shows how good your technique is 👍👍👌
?? that just shows it's well balanced lol
@@kf8575 Spoken like a true phone screen expert who has no idea how difficult setting up counter balance weights and rotation arms really is...lol
That’s awesome. I’d be pumped too. Looks like a crankshaft spinning. Keep up the good work buddy.
Thank you my dude
As a petrochemical/gas pipe welder I enjoy watching your videos. They are well made and make me want to Mig weld more. Cheers from Boston.
I am a welder from Algeria, I worked in oil pipelines

Much respect for the fitup and heat control. Good safety tips too.

Looks like fun. Somehow my welding journey never really had me play with pipes so much. Would be fun.
Awesome video and craftsmanship, thank you ! 👍👍👍👍
Oh my this is amazing my first to see some technique using weights.

UN SALUDO CORDIAL DESDE ESPAÑA 👍🇪🇸
What kind of settings do you set or the root and cap?
Hollow crankshaft for racing tanker
Dear friend, good video, may Allah give you more progress, always be happy,,,
Are the welds going to be x-rayed?
man youre good
amperage and voltage for penetration? I have a welding machine just like yours
I know mig/fcaw is faster. But do you do tig or smaw? And any other metals stainless, duplex, 9chrome ? Ever worked in the field to install your prefab?

你下料是按照单线图来的吗没有扣除对口缝隙。
GD it you should be teaching these young kids how to weld and think!!! You make it look easy, which it most assuredly isn't
No better comment for this than «fackin hell!» Great work!
This pipe looks like big cranckshaft for big engine.
Please tell me spool length calculation
very nice
Looks like amateur night!! You can tack on dummy legs so you don’t have to chase your weld around
How can a person from another country get job where you working. I'm a weld from South Africa looking for a job
Bro please tell me Marking methods
Tack a piece of angle under the pipe next time u do first method makes the high-low no struggle
Thank You for yet another great video. Just wondering, are you using your older Fronius again? Or do You stil have the new one? Would be the propper question... Thanks, Mark
Hey dude its the new one the fronius tps400i

Helo brother
Can you help me
Nice work but won't to that trap water most inspectors would fail that
He said it goes up and over, how would that trap water?
I don't know why this guy has the big expensive organic vapor cartridge on his PAPR unit especially when welding carbon steel. Even with stainless n95 is sufficient
Its just what i have, i like to protect myself the best i can
You can have a beard with PAPR for one thing, a lot of people find it more comfortable than a half face respirator for another.
🔥
If you don't enjoy your work what's the point?
Money my dude
you need to answer your questions
Yum
Je je
😆👍!
