I made these scrubbies with the toughest jobs in mind! They are perfect for all your tough jobs from scrubbing floors to washing your car, tires, or rims! The pattern is as simple as creating a chain to the length you want and placing single crochets into the back loops for as many rows as you want.
To make the smaller scrubby, chain 10
Row 1: skip 1 chain, sc into the next 9. Ch 1, turn.
    Row 2: BLSC x 9, Ch 1, turn
    Row 3-12: Repeat row 2
To make the large scrubby, chain 15
Row 1: skip 1 ch, sc into the next 14. Ch 1, turn
    Row 2: BLSC x 14
    Row 3-20: Repeat row 2

I have seen single layers, this is great with 2 layers. Thank you for sharing. Very beginner friendly 😊

These are the best things to clean the tub. They are great for any type of cleaning. Ive not made them square. This is great. Thank you so much!

Hi! Thanks! I used Scrub-ology Scrub It! by Yarn Bee. I think it's a Hobby Lobby brand. I couldn't find it anywhere else. I looked on Amazon and found this one that looks like it's similar. amzn.to/43G84KW

    Maggie,
Thank you for the tutorial and the dish scrubbies.
I am having a very hard time trying to feed my scrubology yarn through tapestry needle. I have the same curved needles as you do. I even have a threader for yarn but it will not pull the yarn through. Do you have any suggestions as how to make this any easier?
    Thank you Maggie Mae

Have you tried to fold over the yarn and pinching it together? Trying to thread it trough from the end can be tough if the ends are frayed. I found some on Amazon that may help:

I love these scrubbies bit they do not dry fast and then they start to smell. I love to make them and give them away. My daughter loves them so I make them for her. How do u get these to dry quickly?

You just need to make sure you wring them out really well. Or, you an toss them in the dryer. It's important that you rinse them well, too. I pop my kitchen scrubby in the dishwasher and the one I use for car/house cleaning, I throw in the washer. I've not had a problem with them smelling bad.

I am just learning and I made the rectangular scrubby...it took me 2 hours, several pullings out, its a bit wobbly but it works! I found the very first row into the chain the hardest!
Controlling the wiggly piece I was creating, plus the yarn (which I struggle to hold anyway!) And the needle, and keeping the tension the same....Argh😂😂😂😂
I'll keep practicing, I might have to open a shop selling scrubbies to recoup my yarn costs at this rate 😂😂

Why sandwich together? I feel that just makes them bulky and they stink faster. Would single layer act sufficiently?

This is an extra tough scrubby. The extra layer helps make it stronger. The nylon yarn doesn't get stinky if you rinse and dry after using

How many scrubbies can you make out of 1 skin of yarn? im a beginner, looks easy, I know basics, I hope I can make as pretty as yours, also are the squares easier than the circle scrubbies?

    • @maggiemaycrochet
      @maggiemaycrochet  5 місяців тому

@@tinarigby780 I'm not sure, honestly. If you make one and weigh it, you should be able to figure out how much yarn it took. Then, divide that by the total weight of the skein. I'd say two for sure, maybe three?

@@tinarigby780Eight single rounds or four doubled rounds. I made these today and enjoyed myself immensely . Hope this helps.
