That was a neat build of a REAL Cadillac! I grew up with those 70’s and 90’s Caddys. My next door neighbor owned a light blue and white one and I had the pleasure of riding in it! Talk about an amazing experience as a kid! 😊
Love it love it. One thing - name rhymes with hand (jo) Han; founder was John Hanley. One day I'll have the nerve to glue together my old '70 Sox & Martin 'Cuda from Jo-Han...👍🏻
Fantastic build Louie. I wish Jo-Han would have survived, their kits (even the "snap-together") were amazing in detail. I love your paint and detail, spot-on perfect. (the silver Sharpie has to be one of the greatest inventions to us modelers).
Great job. I had a 77 deville in high-school. Very cool cars. Just a tip that i like to do, and may help you out with paint control on your bresh, instead of dipping your brush in the jar, use whats on the lid. If you run out of paint on the lid, just put it back on the jar and shake. Now not only do you have fresh paint, but its properly mixed as well.
I remember back in 1988 when I was 12, I bought this at a local hobby shop (long gone now sadly) but it cost about $12 I remember. I could find a bunch of JoHan kits for $10 to $12. Miss those days.

That really looks fantastic Louie!!! Amazing how great a simple kit can come out with the right details. Loved your comment building it, after all its a model. It looks like you apply alot of paint. But when I watch you detail the body I don’t see any crazing why is that? Nice job!

I wasn't even aware there was a kit of this later model Cadillac that was completely stock - I only recall seeing the Revell/Monogram one that is a lowrider and I would have liked if that had had in the parts to make a completely stock car. These are the kinds of Cadillacs I grew up seeing so I had to take a look at this video to see how it turns out. Jo Han seems to have had some good kits of subjects other manufacturers did not necessarily touch.

What I remember most about this era of Caddy was the back bumpers always leaned back making a giant gap between the rear quarter and the tailight bezel. Every single one 😂 Nice work, man.
nice work i remember seein these at trost hobbies in chicagoland for 6 bucks in the 90s....shouldve grabbed a few needs too be reissued id buy a few i found the johan 75 olds box in one of my boxes car is long gone though your right these were made too be build thats whats im doin goiin thru some of my dads old models seeing which ones i should build i did the 67 69 and 72 impalas so far
Nice build. It is reminiscent of the old days when AMT was starting out, back in the ‘50s. Just body, bumper, wheels, tires and interior. You didn’t an excellent job of accurately all of the characters on the Cadillac.
Pardon if this question has been asked but is that just a Sharpie marker you’re using for the wheel opening and windshield trim? Or a special paint pen and by whom is it from? Thanks

Back in the day, I took two of these kits and made a limo out of them, I wish I still had it.
