Great build Louie. This car reminds me of my uncle who raced alcohol funny Mustangs in the mid 70's and 80's. On school breaks I worked with the pit crew doing very minor jobs to keep the car in top form. Great memories, I need to get a copy of this model to build using pictures of his Mustang.
i don't know what I was expecting but I was surprised with the results none the less. Nice engine detail from AMT and a overall nice out-of-the-box final product.
wow have to agree with horton here they could have done done better box art sweet kit thx 4 showing her love your build gotta get one or two tinkin kit bash like edward was talking about😁🤩😎ps have a gooder weekend dou😋😛
Great build and review. The chassis would have been a little difficult for me. My hands are not very steady. Thanks for sharing how to repair some detail mishaps around the windshield. Color choices fit together nicely. Glad you built it as a funny car and not a stock Mustang.
Great job wrestling it to completion! Looks super Louie, like the colors. This chassis to stock body arrangement is the same with the MPC USA-1 Camaro, but still like to see it reissued as well. Inspiring build!
This looks pretty nice! Curious what was removed from the big open area of the first chrome tree. Must be parts for another variation that we'll see later on.
Chassis closer to 1966 specs . State of the art (John Buttera) changes were 14 months away ! [Don Shumacher 's Indy winning Stardust Barracuda] I'll shut up now.Memphis Dan LeLoLai
I understand, unfortunately it’s like anything now days. $9.00 eggs 4.50 gas, but it’s enjoyable and still affordable for most folks. Thank you for watching.

Very nice build they need to do there box art like that would have more appeal
Another great build! Siemans Ford is an actual dealership in Bridgman, MI. They never sponsored a drag car, as far as I know, but still cool.
That is an awesome build!! This will be on my bench REAL soon!!
Thank you for reviewing this kit. You are a great model builder. Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you very much Patrick. I appreciate the kind words.
Looks great, I;m just about to start on AMT's '63 Ford Galaxie 500 XL . Building it for my dad, he turned 85 in Feb.
Cool review ! I can see that it might be fiddly, but it's modeling ! Nice looking build.

I appreciate you watching. Thank you Michael!!!
Great job I wish round 2 would repop the gas ronda long nose mustang funny car kit by AMT
I'm thinking of trying to bash that kit with a '69 Camaro body. I think that would be awesome!
Sounds cool
you know they made a 69 camaro funny car kit not long ago
@@crazypainter56 No, I did not know that. Do you know where I can get that kit?
That frame looks like a pain in the but
It’s tricky for sure

I think they have other plans for this mold -stock body and stuff
WOW ! That looks like a very fussy kit. I don't know if I can build it.
Sure you can. Take your time and follow the instruction book. You can do it. I enjoy a challenge once in a while.

That rear needs to be narrowed. The rear slicks stick out WAY too far. Gross!

Who can even afford model kits anymore3? I'm not about to plunk down $40 for a model kit.

As was typical for the time, AMT, MPC and Johan used their annual kits stock body to represent the funny car body. Not accurate in the least.
Awesome build!!!
