Surprised you don't have 10k subscribers with the quality presentations you're creating. Excellent images, background music, script, etc. just all comes together so well. Great Omega, by the way. First time I've heard 'television dial' as a thing.
David Brown Thank you very much! I appreciate it. I try to tell a story with each video and different from thr other watch channels on here. Thank you for your support.
Well, I inherited mine from an aunt that retired from Newyork Telephone in 1974. She was 14 or 15 when she started working there and it was a 50 year retirement watch. She asked for the mans watch for the bigger dials. It says Electronic and f300 Hz on top and Chronometer below the Geneve on the botton. The date no longer works and the crystal has some scratches. Works great and keeps perfect time. The case is gold and for it's size quite heavy but I love it. Time for A new band now. The people at the Omega dealer freak when they discover it's my everyday watch.
Great video! Very insightful. I just got an Omega Geneve just like this one, but with the regular 20mm lugs. Like you said, they definitely fly under the radar, which is nice when you don't like calling too much attention to yourself, while at the same time wearing a great watch. I got mine for a song, from someone who presumably didn't know much about the watch or its value. I'll take it for a clean and service soon, and I'll be wearing it for many years to come.
Thank you for producing quality content! I'm sure Omega couldn't do it better themselves. In the case of mine it would seem it will have to endure two lifetimes! The previous owner left his fair share of dents dings and scratches, but after some TLC, and a lot of scraping old dead skin from the underside and lugs... the only thing that remains from the previous owner is the engraving commemorating his 25 years of work, for which he received the watch as a reward. Me being that exact age, I guess the watch will have many more years of wrist time to come :D
Hello i have a seamaster cosmic from 1974, it houses the same 1012 caliber, i encountered a problem with the date fonction which now isn’t working anymore, it seams to « grab » the date but nothing happen in the dial, it is not changing while a full 24h has passed, it also had a little moisture in it once, and the time is keeping well when i wear it, but when i let her on a table, it’s accuracy lose about 30 minutes during the night and finally my sapphire glass is all scratched and should be replaced...i have a simple question is it worth the reparation? And do you have an idea of the cost for such work? If it’s around 500€...i’m affraid i couldn’t repair this family gem, which would just kill me...i love that watch. Thank you for answering me :)
It sounda like it needs a full cleaning from case to movement. The date disk should be inspected as well. I think total it could run you a few hundred. But may be worth it considering its sentimental value to you. Good luck to you sir.
Last Watch Horology thank you for your kind answer mate would you go the « official omega way » or is this movement not so hard to repair? Tho, everybody is telling me that omega isn’t very pleased to send their parts to an old watchmaker...
I've been looking at vintage Omega. I wonder if I got one and paid to have the movement serviced if Omega would replace it or just clean it up. If they'd do a replacement, i'd probably have to find a watchmaker to do the work, but Omega sometimes won't supply parts if needed.
I had this exact model with a green dial very rare I'm gutted I sold it . I've had some stunning Omega you name it I've owned it. A much better watch than Rolex as far as I'm concerned only thing is Rolex had far better marketing techniques . Still it's omega and Seiko for me all day long . Great video btw
Glad you enjoyed it man. The prices I see these going for now makes me feel the same. Omega is my go to brand mostly, I think I should have a little more Seiko on the channel though.
@@LastWatchHorology I recently bought a Seiko Alpanist I like it so much ! I bought another one both have green dials . Stunning watch for the price I suggest you have a look at one . Brilliant . Keep the good work up my friend Liverpool UK
You mean entry level, the Geneve is the entry level model, the brands Datejust, love the TV models but the bracelets stretch as yours has and the crystals are impossible to find.

Thank you for sharing man! I love hearing a good story behind a watch.
Great video! Very insightful.

Nacho Conde That's for the support man! I hope you enjoy your omega for a long time. Definitely watches made to last a lifetime.

Nacho Conde It comes with a story! That's what's great about vintage watches.
And a story that isn't easy to see! As you'd only ever see the inscription when the watch was off the wrist :P A cool conversation point!
Great review and as usual the pitch is perfecto !
More Watches Please Thank you!
Really enjoyed this video. I have a Geneve Chronostop on mesh bracelet. Relatively inexpensive alternative to a speedmaster.
Larry Kippings That's awesome man! Few things beat a trusty omega.

I have old omega geneve watch i want to know about its price....pls reply
Wasn't the Constellation the true flagship model of Omega?
The vintage Omega is a amazing and únique watch. They should cost thousands of dollars and not a few hundred.
I own one with Breguet numerals, hard to find
Great stuff! I'll bet these Omega's gain momentum, integrated bracelet with the tv dial looks a bit like a nautilus 👌🏻
Sublime
ÓTIMO RELÓGIO, BRASIL OK.
