Little known spring except to the locals, get on the footpath and walk to & across the CSX railroad tracks, and right on the other side you'll find a little dried out slew, follow it close to the edge of the river and you'll find a beautiful crystal clear spring coming out of the caverns..we take shiny pennies and quarters and drop them in and watch him disappear into the depths of the crystal clear water and it's not blackwater, that's just how deep it is, enjoy! BTW, if you feel brave cross The trestle to the other side it's a lot longer than it looks and if train is coming you got two options run or jump 😂

Do you, by any chance know where Kimberly Leach was found in 1978? I know is was in this general area but I saw a video that said the hog shed was back behind a cabin that was on private property but another video claimed that the hog shed used to be where there's a big clearing. I thought the hog shed was in the woods?

You ain't seen nothing yet, some of us have been from Big Sholes all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico on our kayaks & pontoons, camping out all wk. on snow white sand bars, sand so pure, it's squeaks underneath your feet when you walk, and you won't even see a human footprint on most till you get past Branford, Then she starts to widen up, when you get below fanning springs towards Manatee springs it gets so wide you can go wide open bank to bank, BTW, those aren't mostly floating logs you'll see.. those are 12+ft Gator backs in the river

Thank you so much! It is very beautiful, HOT but beautiful :-) Born and raised here, Most people come in the winter when its tolerable to be outside. But come anytime, if you come in the summer make sure you plan water activities :-)
