Yeah my cousin had the hybrid model I believe and the battery has been not accepting charge and it finally shorted out a ECU and he asked for a full refund I was surprised they gave it to him and he ended up with a Honda Odyssey elite.
I love the Pacifica. I’m on my 2nd one. With the substantial discounts, you can’t beat it w the features, functionality, comfort and drive. It surprisingly drives like a German car from 10-20 yrs ago. W the simple to use uconnect and overall practically, I prefer daily driving it as a family vehicle to our new x5 and prior GLS. I only wish the interior noise was quieter on the hwy.
In need of a minivan?! I'm a single man that is obsessed with a minivan! The town and country/now pacifica are the best!!! You can do it all with this van!! Cargo space perfection!! If you dont need a box of a truck, this is all you will ever need!!
You know, they say there is a certain color for every car (maybe it's just my saying. Lol), but this car has a certain color which makes it pop!!! I have the 2020 Pacifica Limited S version that is Luxury White in color. With the black rims and blacked out emblems people stare trying to figure out what the car is. It also darkens as the sun light intensity changes. Sometimes it can look like a smoke grey and other times an off pearl. (It's not your typical white). But I think it only comes with the 'S' version of the car, and not even the Redline S has it.
They should make a “ car play” for rear entertainment. So that kids can plug their iPhones in and use them as controllers or watch stuff full screen. Stuff like that. Cause those will age poorly.
Honestly I love this color (But I DO love blue and wish for more blue vehicles); but this color really stands out in real life. I saw one and it caught my eye (a minivan caught my eye. Minivan) because of this color, almost thought it was a custom color
@@azera55555 It's a plug-in hybrid and it's received an expectionally poor score on most websites, notably Consumer Reports magazine. It's really not reliable.
I had a 2014 T&C and the shifting was horrible. When I got this one it was a world of difference. The shifting is perfect but I feel that the pickup speed is lacking slightly because of the smooth shifting. But I have to say, the feel of this vehicle feels more like an SUV (like the Jeep GC, but not exactly, just a happy medium) instead of a minivan. This vehicle 'feels' wider than the T&C, and like it's ready to pounce.
oh man, gotta try the new defender. Forget about the usual cars and focus on the hottest newly released cars. I'm waiting for your review. Your channel is one of my favorite. Good luck buddy.
Can you please do the Honda Odyssey 2020? We are thinking of purchasing an outgoing 2020 EX-L model near the end of the year when the 2021 model goes on sale.
We have a 2018 and I don’t really see that much of a difference in new vs ours. The infotainment system is good but there are never any upgrades for new content and games. Your stuck with the ones they give you forever
Now that the sienna has a hybrid power train, I'm not sure if this thing will be able to compete. Vans are about practicality, and a big part of practicality is reliability. I wouldn't feel good about driving a FCA product when it comes to reliability..
Like the Pacifica but couldn’t work out a deal with the dealership. I think this blue color is hideous, in my opinion. Nice minivan with poor rating from Consumer Report on reliability, not sure they deserve it though.
Why not? FCA has MASSIVELY improved of late, earning top ten spot for Consumer Reports most reliable vehicles and #1 spot for JD Powers initial quality, even over Toyota and Honda who have started to innovate and use new technology (mostly CVT issues). Chrysler and Dodge are pumping out attractive vehicles on old chassis, meaning they've worked out the bugs years ago.
The only proper van ever made was the Chevy Astro/GMC Safari. Comfortable, solid and reliable plus it wasn't driven around by neutered middle class males.
OK, power everything is all well and good, but it's SOOOOO slow, If you're trying to load up kids and you have to wait for everything its gonna get old fast.
If that's still the notorious and pathetic ZF 9HP, it's a terrible transmission. Lackluster shift quality. The ZF 8HP is a superior unit, obviously that isn't made for FWD applications though. A Mercedes 9G-Tronic would be a fantastic alternative.
It's pretty high quality for a POV GoPro camera, if you don't like the videos, don't watch them. Leave *constructive* feedback/critisicm not this kind of comment. I know you probably don't care about being kind, and will probably respond with a nasty comment. But in this world, positivity does matter and leaves an impact.
FCA is definitely getting better. I'd still avoid first model year FCA products, but I think after 4 years of production, if you were to buy a 2020 model it would be a good reliable van with proper maintenance.
See that's pretty old thinking, they're definitely not what they used to be. To be honest my family has had multiple in the past with few issues. Quality and reliability is DEFINITELY not on par with Japan, I'm not saying they're objectively good, but we've always had good experiences.
Why? How many people buying SUVs are actually taking it off roading and using the "sport utility" part of suv? Very few. From a functional perspective a van is way more practical for most people in most scenarios. It's just not "cool"
@@alexanderryan1176 u answered ur own question, they aint cool...never talk about on road or off road capabilities lol, mini vans are just out of style
@@thatkidnicolay2449 they may be out of style, but for those who don't care about coolness I think they are better than a comparable cuv in most real world scenarios. if I needed a second vehicle for my wife to hall around kids, this would be perfect.
@@alexanderryan1176 in my opinion id rather jus get like a ford explorer or like a honda pilot for the wife, plus they have better incentives and programs
@@thatkidnicolay2449 fundamentally what's the difference between the basic fwd versions of those cars and a minivan? To me it seems like just the shape. The Pacifica can probably fit more, the pilot and explorer look cooler. I guess it depends on what your priorities are, but I think a good argument can be made for the Pacifica. My hunch is the pacifica is also more comfortable over long distances, but I don't know that for sure.
Love this van, only concerned with long term reliability
Yeah my cousin had the hybrid model I believe and the battery has been not accepting charge and it finally shorted out a ECU and he asked for a full refund I was surprised they gave it to him and he ended up with a Honda Odyssey elite.
I Like Watching Anime on some of the old ones maybe. The new odyssey comes with the 10’speed and so far it’s been ok
I drive one of these everyday for work. Mine has 180K and is 2 years older. So far no major issues.
They're reliable if you actually take care of them they're not like a Toyota where you can just beat up the Toyota and it be fine
Central Beats ironically my Toyota is on its 3rd transmission, it’s a 2019. The new Toyota 8 speeds are horrible
When you get the chance, I’d love to see a POV review on the *2020/2021 Honda Insight.* Other than that, always enjoying your videos! Much love ❤️

If reliability weren’t an issue this would be a slam dunk.
It’s not.... this is why Scotty Kilmer needs to be removed. Buy one and test for yourself.
@@Natethegreat200c Wrong, and don’t like your own comment. Most people don’t even know who Scotty is
These are reliable minivans if you actually take care of them also when employee pricing comes around you can get these for pretty cheap
Yes!!! You finally get to test a minivan. THIS is the content I've been waiting for!
Man i LOVE minivans. So prsctical, roomy, can camp inside, amazing for trips. Super practical sliding doors
The hotel I work at has these. They are surprisingly fun to drive and they are fast for a minivan.
Will they hold up like a Sienna or Odyssey?
I don't know if you've done one already, but could you possibly do a review on a new Acura MDX or a new Nissan Maxima?
Best roadtrip car

Minivan origami :)) loved that!
If she wants to, I'd like to hear your wife's thoughts on this van! Will there be a driving video on the Winding Road Channel?
Has the 9 speed improved? It used to be very clunky and it shifted weird between certain gears

i feel like they could do better with the designs of the minivans, that shape is getting kinda old
they are revamping it in the 2021 model which is coming out soon, they have only had the same design ever since 2017. Not that long ago...
