“To boldly go where no man has ever been before/Astronauts the new Conquistadors” always gave me that shiver down my spine that you get when you here a truly brilliant song.
I remember when he played this as the finishing track in the John Peel new band tent at Glastonbury in 1997, and it was fucking awesome! There were people jammed in, climbing up the tent supports and everything! Better times, from a better time.... 🍄
@@bgeekAh, but who wrote the Beatles tracks? Another disappointment is realising they were a massive Tavistock project which still continues to this day. Mike Williams is the man who proved they neither wrote, nor played on their studio albums, only vocals. And yes, there is more than one Paul.

Thank you, my man, the only man in the world. Ian Brown you are the Icarus, the man at the edge of the world and babasonic himself! I adore you and your way. Viva the Monkey Man form Manchester!
Was playing Starfield and I had this track stuck in my head. I think it was the "militarey journey to Mars" line that did it. The track isn't even in the game. Classic track.
To this day this is one of very few albums i play all the way through without skipping a song. First saw him at T in the park summer '98 absolute legend of a man. I salute you sir👌
I've pretty much exhausted The Roses' discography, so I've been listening to Ian's solo stuff. There's something different about it. The influences are much starker. For example, the guitar riff here is totally Beatles.
I think it talks about how we live in repetition in our normal life as a consequence of our fear as persons in a big society and how drugs/taking a distance can make you reconect with the truth: nature
My first ian brown song to hear from his solo stuff.Actually come to think of it was his first solo release so that figures.Great song and mad video too, prob his best.
Up there with the best of The Stone Roses classics, massively underplayed as a single when it came out... what a shame. It's a beaut. (Yes, I know it is just Ian Brown solo, not The Stone Roses doing this track.)

A hope u get to c Ian brown the stone roses live lucky boro fc
It's a line worthy of Shaun Ryder.
Loving that you were awake about the new world order back in the 90s, what an absolute star, love ya.

Ian brown knows the score .
He’s proving that even more atm
👍🏻👍🏻😜
Jesus Christ knows the score too and he wins in the end, I read the book. Lucifer loses and so will you.
Or knows where to score 1 of the 2
Guy a legend,the urban professor ,👀🙏🥸
Good peaple will always prevail in time
This is a beautiful track. One day it may be appreciated for the work of art that it is, although I don't hold out much hope.
Correct
This track is a masterpiece.

Mikk Lüftumie anything Ian Brown, do much so I've a tattoo with FEAR lyrics.
Keep what you got is his best song in my opinion, it’s a masterpiece and Noel Gallagher is in it.
So underrated. Such an amazing song and album.
Ian most definitely deserved the god like genius title .. nearly all his tracks are epic
You might check who produced all the post Roses albums
Ps Ian has won “ God like Genius award “ 🤙🏽…. Like 15 yrs ago
What a tune
Ian is a very enlightened man.
ABSOLUTELY TOP TUNE. THIS IS TOTALLY BRILLIANT .!!!!!
Nice to hear he had musical influence in Stone Roses, not just as a singer. He's definitely got his own sound.
And a Lyrical guineas. And I don't use that word lightly

Ian Brown = the Bowie of our generation - I love Bowie but Ian is clear!
This could be the best song and video ever made. It stays fresh even after knowing it and watching it over many years.
Three words and three words only are needed. 'Cool as fuck!' Nuff sed as anyone who was at Heaton Park will no doubt back me up.
Wide to it all way back when wide to it all now
Godspeed, John Glenn. Rest in peace.

Saw him at the ethiad , he clocked me coming out in his limo , my connection never forget it . I saw him first an shouted Ian , he looked right at me
You can just imagine one day in the future humans will actually try to set up 'Galaxy borders'
No doubt, we love capitalizing on nature wherever we can
Remember walking into wellies and we're gonna buy this and guess what we're playing this and I loved it !! Felt so realistic!!

Got to be one of his best songs, amazing artist
Everyone should own this album. Great track from it..... Radiohead ish guitar part......
The man made tunes that just made u glad to b alive and experience them
never seeking new life only planning war... class lyrics and song.
I bought this when I was a kid. Loved it - Ian Brown is Liam Gallagher… but with brains…and more talent…
Ian is way better than Liam Gallagher, it’s such a shame that the stone roses didn’t get the recognition that oasis achieved.
The Northern Mon Key What a Player, up there with the HAcienda Stars Of Irridescent Splendour. Heavenly!

All down to the genius that is Mr Aziz Ibrahim. Check him out he still performs it live. He wrote the whole song with Ian.
always thought this would fit straight in on either Revolver or the White Album
He even sang the lines from Dear Prudence along the riff during early performances
God speed Aziz
It's The Beatles formula
Its Corey goodish hidden in regressed memories he’s definitely awake mr brown❤
Always been my favourite writer of music and he knows exactly what I am doing and where I go.
Ian Brown is unstoppable. 2023.

Underplayed??? It was his debut solo single and was everywhere!! Browns solo stuff easily matches Roses material
Wasn't underplayed mate not on tv or radio at the time. Or the promotion of it 🙂 massive comeback
