Just started to view these videos a short time ago and what a masterful job done on each item. Also, his sense of humor has kept me coming back as well.

THANK YOU!!! I was given that same knife when I was twelve years old. I have wanted to restore it but was afraid that I would actually ruin it. You have shown me how to do it properly and am now confident that I can. I really like your channel. I think that you are a great teacher. Blessings to you.

Fr. Plucker Jr, Germany, Solingen. That means it was made between 1871 and 1938 (or so). Looks like a pretty standardized knife they produced by the thousands, much like many straight razors. (Prior to that, it would have been labeled by the individual Princedom, such as Saxe-Coburg. "Germany" didn't exist as a country until 1871) (edit - With the aluminum pommel, that moves it to post 1886, and most likely between WW-I and WW-II)

I actually lost a knife pretty much like that one decades ago on my first deer hunt... Nice refurbishing project! The deer antler looks great once again.

Really great job. I am restoring the exact same modal knife as we speak. My first knife restoration. Only trouble is my knife has considerably more rust and pitting and I messed up and soaked the bone handle on Mineral oil. I'm considering making a stacked Leather handle, or trying to find some better Antler to replace the original. I would love to hear any suggestions you may have. Thank you.

Believe me not criticizing your work , I love your channel and work. But try a wood block with the grain up to cut your leather with the punch. Cuts much better and will save the edge of the punch. Great job.
